The Earls meet the Princesses:A June PTR *6/13 WE LEAVE IN THE MORNING!*

aahhhh...DTD!! The possibilities are endless!

Definitely the Pin Trading Store, Goofy's is a must-do.......oh...and what is Basin???? GRrrr..I obviously missed that one.

We didn't buy anything, but just walking past the Ghirardelli store and inhaling deeply is worth the trip!

I have the Christmas ornament tradition also.

Love Goofy's :thumbsup2

We are trying Raglan Road on our next trip also. The reviews look great, I cant wait.

My must do's this trip at DTD:

I want to pick a pearl either at DTD or Japan. Have you ever done this. With you having 2 girls I bet they would like it. I have reading a thread on pick a pearl and people have been buying a carriage cage reasonably from the internet and then taking it with them to WDW and having the pearl placed in it. Very cute for little girls and it looks like a Cinderella carriage.

I also want to try the fried snicker bar from Cookes of Dublin and if we are at DTD for lunch I really want to try Wolfgang Puck Express.

We're planning on doing the Pick a Pearl at the Japanese pavilion in WS. From what I understand, there are more setting options in DTD but the ceremony is better in Epcot. I saw those necklaces! Very cute.:cutie:

Basin is a bath products store, similar to Lush. I can see how you might have missed it, with your four boys in tow.:rotfl:

Just getting caught up. I haven't been able to get on the DIS much lately and it has been killing me! You are right about both of our countdowns....getting so close. In fact, I got a little freaked out the other day when it said 25 days. I am SO NOT prepared to leave for this trip. Maybe this 3 day weekend will give me some time to get organized.

I love Basin! My birthday just passed recently and my sister emailed me a gift certificate to that store because she knew we were going to be there soon. I told her it was the perfect gift, since now it can be considered "guilt-free" spending. The Christmas store is our other favorite. We have spent way too much money there over the years.

I'm sure your kids are getting so excited. Good luck w/ all of your preparations. :goodvibes

Hi! I KNOW! I've been experiencing Disney anxiety too. One day I can't wait to get there, the next I feel like I'll never be done with the buying, packing, sorting, printing, organizing, checking, rechecking....

Well,:bday: Enjoy your goodie buying. I'm looking forward to hearing what you pick out.:thumbsup2

Thank-you. :goodvibes You too!

I got my Mickey mail!!:woohoo: The funny thing is that my TA sent them via UPS with signature required! Oookay? She must have been worried somebody would steal my diamond parking pass!:rotfl:

Oh, I cant wait until I get my Mickey mail. :yay: Glad no one made off with your parking pass!:rotfl:

The new store Tren-D looks super neat -- personally, I am planning on making a point of browsing through there.

ME too me too!

:yay:

Looks fun!

OKAY , back to this PTR --- very cute photos, and what a nice DTD day! I will be curious about Raglan Road... it did sound good from Carissa's post, and I have heard good things elsewhere, too .... :surfweb: Adding it to my Dec. list!!

SO much fun getting Mickey Mail -- I have ours, too!

WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TO GOOFY'S!!!!!! I can't wait to try it out. I never knew that snack credits could be used there, so this will be a first for us! :yay:

Your TRIP is just weeks away now!!!! HOW EXCITING :yay:

Ok, its time to look back to the last park we visited on our 2005 trip to WDW, Typhoon Lagoon. There will be no looking forward because we're not visiting here this trip. We'll be taking advantage of the beautiful SAB instead.:yay: Unfortunately, looking back to our time at TL entails remembering the scariest 5 minutes at WDW, maybe one of the top scary moments for me as a mom ever.:scared1:

We got to the water park early, like 9 or 9:30, because we wanted lounges in the shade. Which ever one of us wasn't going on the rides with the girls would be sitting in the shade with baby Ian. In hindsight I can say this was NOT a good place for a small baby. I probably should have stayed back at the resort or went to DTD while the girls and George played at the water park, but we foolishly wanted to stay together, given hell or highwater, so together we stayed. Anyhow, I jumped the waves in the wave pool with the girls first, then George did. Ian was still sleeping so George sent me to ride some slides with the girls. I'm not a roller coaster fan, but I do love water slides, so I was so happy to agree. Our lounges were located very near the wave pool, so we began walking left toward the slides. Amelia, at this point, started to get a little nervous, so when we came to a kids area with a small slide we stopped to let her get her feet wet on it.(Pun intended) I promised to stay at the bottom of the slide and she and Madeline went up hand in hand. I waited, dodging sliders who were not mine but then getting quickly back into position, until Madeline made it down. Ok, I thought, Amelia is next and I'm ready for her. She wasn't next. Or the slider after that. Or that. And then Maddy came down again. "Where's your sister?" I asked. She didn't know. I was pretty sure she was nervous and was standing at the top balking at going down, but I was so afraid that as soon as I started up, she'd come down the slide and be terrified I wasn't there, scarred for life because she couldn't trust me, etc, etc. Finally I couldn't wait any more. Madeline and I made it to the top of the slide and Amelia WASN'T THERE!:scared1: I quickly asked the life guard if she'd seen a little girl in a Minnie bathing suit. I'm sure she was thinking, Um, only 500, but she said she didn't remember and if I'd lost her, I should check with guest services near the entrance!! I grabbed Maddy's hand and we went running down the beach, when who do we see sauntering toward us? Yep. I grabbed her and started sobbing. She'd changed her mind about going down that slide and went back to our lounges.:headache: After explaining to her how scared I'd been when we I didn't know where she was, and that 5 year olds need to be with a grown up at all times, I calmed down and we walked back to the lounges together because I was DONE. I just wanted to hold my babies close, after thinking about what could have happened. We got lunch and then George and Madeline set off to tackle the bigger rides, while I watched Amelia play in the sand with her kids meal sand pail. Here's a picture of my little water slide houdini.

I'm a little worried about keeping track of Ian at Disney. He's not a runner, but he's very extroverted and independent. If you're there the same time we are and a little brown haired boy attempts to talk your ear off, look around. The paniced mom off in the distance is probably me.

Next Post: The Packing Room

I positively hate that feeling. It has happened to many of us at one time or another. ;)

I will be there at the same time. I will keep a watch out. But don't worry, you will be vigilant.

:scared1:Oh, that is truly a Mom's worst nightmare. I am so glad it ended positively.

We are going this year in August to TL and DS cant wait to get one of the ice cream sundaes in the pail.

That is the worst feeling ever. We had that moment with Hannah at our church festival....

The Packing Room... I need that!

Those moments really are terrifying! It seems like hours instead of minutes! We've all been there...yikes.

She really is adorable! Too cute in her little Minnie suit..as if the whole world didn't just stop! :cutie:

Wow! So glad Amelia was okay... they just don't realize why we worry so much and freak out when things like that happen. (And they happen to us all.) :grouphug:

Oh, how very, very scary!!! Those are the worst moments for a mother!

They really are!

With the 3, we're constantly checking whose eyes are on the girls and whose are on Ian.

Thank you:hug:

TL would have been really fun if Ian would have been older. The kids thought the meals in buckets were great!

The Packing Room is helping slightly with my packing anxiety.

You know its scary when I'm running in a bathing suit!:scared1:

Thank you. Both girls were looking at me like I was crazy when I was crying. They really can't understand.
