The Earls meet the Princesses:A June PTR *6/13 WE LEAVE IN THE MORNING!*

A 5K? Wow! I'm so impressed!

Yay for the chicken sitters! :rotfl:

The calendar looks great. :thumbsup2

Love the nest picture. :goodvibes

Signing in!!

So, here is my 2 cents on the great stoller debate. If the rental thing does not work out for you, I talked to a bunch of people while we were there that had bought the Disney Stroller (the black and red one that they have at the parks and resorts) for $40 and LOVED it!

Just a thought:goodvibes

I loved your post about why this trip means so much to you:hug:

Thanks Carissa.:goodvibes How are the moving plans coming?
poor little egg babies. Do you think they were eaten?
I think Momma Bird was eaten, yes.:sad2:
That happened to us with a little bird nest in a small tree near our house -- tree too small to support the nest. I am glad to know you will have a chicken sitter for your other eggs though!
Ya know? The term bird brain is not without meaning.

Great thought.:thumbsup2 Are they sold in the gift shops of the resorts? Maybe I can show one to George and see what his thoughts are.

Thank you!:goodvibes

Ok all. Have fun planning without me tonight. I'm going to be an overnight chaperone for Madeline's 5th grade "Outdoor Education" aka camp.

I think this is the stroller. People had them on the bus and they were VERY compact. I saw them at the resort gift shops and at the shops at each park.

Have fun at the campout!!!!

Thank you for the camp well wishes. We had fun, the weather has been gorgeous, mid 70s and sunny, and the kids were so exhausted that they fell into their bunks and didn't make a peep until this morning.:goodvibes

In other Disney news, my AAA TA called this morning, before I came home, and left a message that my travel docs are in and she wants to set up an appointment to go over everything with me. Not sure what she wants to go over, but I'm going to see if she can mail the stuff because her office is an hour away. I can't wait to see everything.:yay:

Yay for the round-a-bout Mickey Mail!! :woohoo:

Kathy

That's what I wondered too. I just e-mailed her asking that they just be mailed to me if possible.

Exactly! Mail them off already, that is what I would tell her! They are cool, with the celebration theme stuff, I agree and the new ID tags, toooo cute! :goodvibes

Ok, my TA said she'd just mail the documents, so they should be here in the next couple of days!:woohoo: I still don't know what she thought she had to go over with me. Maybe she thought it was part of her job?:confused3

Anyway, today I'm looking back at our time in Downtown Disney. After checking in in '05, it was our first stop. We shopped, got drenched by an afternoon downpour, had lunch and shared some sundaes at Ghiradellis to top off our afternoon.

Look at that sky. The rain, rain, rain came down, down, down...

This was our last day.:sad1:

What am I looking forward to at DTD this trip? Why shoppingof course!:yay:

Souvenires
Something from Basin-the girls and I love bath bombs and the pirate and Mickey soaps are so cute!
Disney 2009 ornament-ornaments to commemorate special events are tradition for us
???-this space intentionally left blank for whatever strikes my fancy:snooty:

Food
Goofy Candy StoreLooking forward to some sugar shock!:woohoo:

We're having dinner at Raglan Road and the menu looks fantastic, as do the pictures from Carissa's TR!

I'm going to borrow ILUVXU's idea, and let Ian play in the fountains with George supervising while the girls and I do some shopping, then we'll switch.

Anyone have any other DTD "must dos" that I'm missing?

That's one of our (my) traditions, too! I especially love the dated ornaments that hold pictures. It's fun to see the kids grow with each trip!

No trip to DTD would be complete for our family without a stop at Disney Pin Traders! The pins are so much fun to look at and collect, plus there are full-size character figures available for a few nice photo ops.

Ooh, picture frame ornaments are a great idea! I'll have my eyes peeled.

I know George wants to check out the Pin Trader store. He buys a pin or two every vacation.

Here are a few TrenD pictures for you. Sorry a couple of them are so blurry.

LL would be proud of these, and I bet she comes back with pictures of them herself!

There are a lot of cute, stylish clothes not exactly for MeMoms, and lots of cute purses. I thought I took more pictures, but I guess not, or they were worse than these and I deleted them.

I do love going into Basin.
Truthfully, I just love shopping anywhere! :)

We need a smilie that is carrying a shopping bag.

I have the Christmas ornament tradition also.

Love Goofy's :thumbsup2

We are trying Raglan Road on our next trip also. The reviews look great, I cant wait.

My must do's this trip at DTD:

I want to pick a pearl either at DTD or Japan. Have you ever done this. With you having 2 girls I bet they would like it. I have reading a thread on pick a pearl and people have been buying a carriage cage reasonably from the internet and then taking it with them to WDW and having the pearl placed in it. Very cute for little girls and it looks like a Cinderella carriage.

I also want to try the fried snicker bar from Cookes of Dublin and if we are at DTD for lunch I really want to try Wolfgang Puck Express.
