Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

I enjoyed rewatching recently The More Love Grows about a mom of a college aged daughter and a vet. Yesterday, I was touched by Faith of Angels which is the true story of how God rallied a community to save a child trapped in a mine. I have A Kindhearted Christmas set to record. Sweet story. I love the end where the town mayor I believe confides in the main character that he knew it was her, her good heart, who was the town's anonymous Secret Santa all along. I would recommend.

This post is about Hallmark actors in other non-Hallmark movies.

Ryan McPartlin has a really good part in the action/political suspense movie "Hunter Killer starring Gerard Butler.

Schuyler Fisk is in two movies:

"Every Other Holiday" (a Lifetime movie) - I highly recommend this movie.

And also "Sam & Kate" where she got to work with her mother Sissy Spacek. The movie also stars Jake Hoffman who got work with his father Dustin Hoffman.

A little update on Ryan Paevey:

Unfortunately, no, he is not doing a new Hallmark movie. He had previously made the announcement he was giving up acting as his mom has stage 4 cancer, AND he had an angry, miserable time after finding out his likeness and identity were used to scam women into handing over thousands of dollars to scammers. AND he admitted he hadn't behaved very well on set to others.

Last I read, his mom still has cancer. Ryan has moved down to San Diego to be with her. He had closed all his social media accounts, except his Instagram where he advertises when he's made a new batch of his handmade jewelry for sale.

However, a few weeks ago, the producer of General Hospital sent him an unexpected text. They talked and Ryan is back on GH as a new character. He started filming last week.

So, he's back to acting. Maybe there is hope that, in time, he may straighten things out with Hallmark and may do some more Hallmark movies. 🙏 🤞

As for scams using General Hospital actors, a incident was posted on the news last week involving a different GH actor, Steve Burton. He was used in an AI generated video so real, they are called "deep fakes." In a side by side comparison of two videos of Burton, it is really hard to tell which one is AI generated. In the AI video, the likeness even used the woman's name while speaking to her! They were able to con her out of $81,000 and she was scheduled to send out more money until her daughter found out what was going on.

In this video below, the reporter interviews Burton, and he talks about meeting fans at his appearances, who, he can tell from the way they look at him and act like they've known "him" for a couple years, are being conned. He has to break the news to them that it's not him.

I worry we'll eventually decide that AI's benefits may not be worth the trouble it creates. :sad2:

As for Ryan, I'm glad to see things working out for him professionally. I'm so glad he's able to be with his mom; I'm sure that means the world to her. I do hope he comes back to Hallmark at some point. Some of his movies are my faves.

Thank you, Imzadi! That series sounds awesome and reminds me of On the Road with Steve Hartman. I will definitely DVR a few of Lacey's series tomorrow.

Very sad about Ryan. He was one of my favorite Hallmark actors. Prayers for his mom.

Hug and sweet dreams to all :)
