j/k

dw let me dssleep in this morning till alomst 9 am,, havent slept that late in years... granted the thunderstormms had me up at 330 till 5,,lol,,, is still in my pj's at 11 am,, we are tryi g to get things together for a garage sale next weekend, have 2 roomsa nd three sheds left to go through at our house , then we get to go across street and help granny go through her kitchen cabs too, useing her gararge:) geessss i never knew how much stuff we had:) dd's room is a 14 ft square,, we ended up filling dining room, living room and someof other bedroom just emptying her room.. its all either in garage or back in her room now.. we trying to get the other bedrom gone through now,m and the kitchens done,, soo maybe tomorrow i can start helping granny get hers out, then we can start going through sorting and pricing and stuff.. what fun, debateing whether to pupt all my old cassette tapes and records into thje sale,, not like they ar aver gonna maske a come back,, and yeah they are collectibles, but are they really worrth hanging onto forever?
is p[retty sure all 500 45's and the 100 or so albums are going in,, now to just get them all unpacked and out,, i honestly never realized how much stuff we had stashed here and there....

Debbie, I know what you mean. We leave Sunday too, and it seems like an awful lot of stuff. I'm even putting stuff (not much of anything in another suitcase so we'll have room for all the stuff we bring back. I am at one bag for each child, a bag with the eseentials (toothpast etc.) My huge suitcase, dh suit case, laptop bag, purse, overnight bag plus the half empty suitcase. That is wayyyyyyyy to much stuff

Sheree - Now I don't feel so bad, I think we're neck in neck with the luggage! LOL I haven't actually packed for me yet. I do have "dibs" on the largest piece of luggage! I really wanted to pack enough so that I didn't need to do laundry while we are there. I don't think that's going to happen! With it so hot, there will probably be days when we need to change twice. Then there's the issue of which shoes to take, and how many! I don't even want to think about an extra for stuff I buy....I probably should. ;)

Froggy - Yard sales are so much work! My community is having one this Saturday. I'm not participating because we won't be home, and I really NEED to participate! We have a garage full of stuff that we never use. Heck, I don't really even know everything that's out there! Hey, what's a "45" anyway?!;) (just kidding)

Sandy - I would love to visit Australia! Will this be your first trip? That's an idea, I'll start planning next years vacation!

Debbie,

Yes, it is our first trip "down under". The trip coincides with our teens' winter holiday vacation. We had to book it 7 months in advance to reserve our seats, and to save money to pay for the darn thing!! Also gives me longer to think about it all, and to mentally pack and repack my suitcase (I'm a self-confessed overplanner!).

I haven't been paying attention to the weather in Orlando, but after reading your post, I went and looked. Wow! It HAS been hot and humid down there. You will need those extra clothes to change into! I don't like to waste my time doing laundry either if I can help it.

I hope that you have a wonderful time with your grandson!!

Debbie, to my credit, our luggage is expandable, and I didn't have to expand :teeth: So I did better than I thought. Hah, just fooling myself. It'll be a lot once we hit that airport with all that luggage following us. However, when you go for 10 days, and I like you refuse to do laundry, we needed a lot of clothes. I made sure we had enough for all 10 days. Plus being from Texas, we are used to the heat. Don't sweat as much, bodies are conditioned. I looked at Accuweather and it looks like the weather will be great for the trip, so if the days would just go a little quicker............

Sheree; I'm a little slow - I didn't realize you were also leaving until I glanced at your countdown clock. Have a wonderful time!!

Thanks Sandy, our house is at an all time fever pitch right now. The kids are pulling out anything Disney. Now for the next 4 days I'll probably hear fantasmic 50 times  :D

all this packing made me laugh
last summer was our first vac in fla,, and wdw was a major portion of the trip, we were in orlando,, on our way through town when we realized we had forgotten to pack the resort confirtmation etc along with maps and everything else we needed to get ourselves checked in at wdw,, after 5 paniccy cell calls and a stop off to get directions into wdw from where we were,, we were able to get confirmation number and was able to use it to get into resorts,, was a scary few though,, was afraid we would have to wait till we ould get it faxed to us and we were already late getting into town,, we left jax (Sis il's house at 6 am,,) hit traffic was almost 10 when we made check in
and as a note,, the 4 of us had 9 suitcases , a back pack, a camera bag and 2 ice chests in the suburban..lol loaded that truck to the gills, and still wished for things we forgot or left at home

Good morning everyone! I haven't been online in a few days and I feel like I missed so much.

Our weekend was great. DD communion party was a fun time. DB flew in with no problems. Unfortunately he had to go back way too soon!

Saw Shrek 2 on Monday. Lots of laughs. Don't forget to stay until after the credits for a bonus scene!

Hope everyones day is happy and healthy!

Sheree

Make sure you have rain gear packed. Summer stroms have started over here. Had our first major storm yesterday and they are talking about some more this weekend.

spooers23- Thanks for the heads up. I have been checking accuweather and weather.com. I notcied all those possible scatered showers, Florida in June:teeth: We have ponchos and rain coats all ready to go. 3 more days, I cant wait:bounce: :bounce:

Good Morning!

Sheree - after keeping watch on the weather, I stopped by the dollar store and purchased a few more rain ponchos. I've never used the "disposable" ones before so have no idea how they hold up.

Getting excited too, but I dread packing!

Have a good day everyone!

Debbie- I foudn dh and I some at taget that trun into fannypacks when you take them off. That way I won't have to carry them around the parks after a rain. I though that concept was pretty cool. Now the kids with their raincoats and ponchos is a different story. However, I think I can put those up in the camera bag it is so big

ok that was really weird,, why it posted three timesyesterday i'll never understand, hopefully i am working better today:)

afternoon all:)

Hey Froggy. Are you still having computer problems?

Hope the room is going smoothly. Remember to keep us up to speed with your progress.

Talk to you later.

Today is a beautiful day here in Long Island. Unfortunately it is not going to last. I think that we are going to need those ponchos here as well. We were all hoping that the nice weather would hold out for tomorrow's Belmont Stakes. Instead it looks like it will be a mess. Just like last year, Friday was beautiful and Saturday (race day) was pouring. Will we see a triple crown winner? Sure hope so!

Well, Carole, we hijacked your warm and sunny weather and brought it to Colorado. It may get to the 90's this afternoon here, which is unusually warm for this time of year.

I prefer warm weather over cold, but with our drought, it makes me a little nervous to have it so hot and dry this early.

My son's 8th grade "continuation ceremony" and dance were yesterday. He had a great day. When I picked him up from the dance last night, the kid was walking on a cloud.

It appears that he and his "girlfriend" (of 2 weeks, a very nice girl) got along well last night, and that he danced to BOTH fast and slow music. With my kids, that's a big deal, because everyone dances to the slow songs here, but the popular fast music is quite difficult to move to. Funny, it was exactly the opposite when I was a teenager back in the "Dark Ages." You didn't dance slow songs with anyone unless you REALLY liked them!

Now he wants to go on a "double date" with Rebecca and another "couple" to see Shrek 2 on Sunday. Dad and I are pondering this one, but we'll probably let him go.

Have a great day, everyone!

Happy Friday everyone!
I haven't been around much, for this week is just INSANE around here! Had my girls Dance rehearsal last night... long night. Rough getting them out of bed this morning. Their recital is Saturday night. They both did very well last night! I'll be sure to get some pictures up next week!

Hope everyone is doing well! :)
