I listened to my WDW Disney CD on my way into work but I feel so sad. I have no upcoming trip planned to keep me going. Hubby doesn't want to go back until the new Dwarves coaster is open. :(-----

What do you do to cheer yourself up??

Start planning, you have an idea of when so start planning that trip......

See you do have an upcoming trip.

Start a countdown, look at all the new stuff you will want to do.

It's never too early to start planning. Even if it is over a year away planning makes the homesickness a little easier to bear. I have been planning our upcoming trip for the past 18 months.

Last summer I was depressed. As a single mom who has yet to take kids on any vacation. I thought for fun I would get on the disney website & pretend to plan something. I planned it every night after work thinking "someday". Well a few months later I realized I had some savings for a "rainy day" and my taxes were coming so I booked it! I think if you just go ahead and start planning it will put you in better spirits! Then once dh gives you the go ahead, your planning is already done just about!!!! :)

haha :) yay!

You must be " My Twin " We might not go this year ---- think about it everyday -- ;):(

I know how your feeling because I feel it to - although we have a plan to return in Nov. 2014 but it seems so far off. Even my mom (parents came last time and will join us next time) said it's so wierd not having a trip to look forward to this year.
I'm hoping however that not having a trip will help the summer go by slower (DD starts Kindergarten in August!).
Last Dec. we went to Disney on Ice and we'll go back this year - splurging on front row seats this time (even though that's not until December also!).
We also spend a lot of time at the Disney Store (easy when you have young kids!) and so much around our house is Disney incorporated.
My thing is I'm so used to planning vacations and with not having any big vacation anywhere this year, I'm sort of lost...(but I keep telling myself to look on the bright side - house has new carpet, basement will be finished and we're going to a lot of smaller side trips this summer) Still hard to fathom no Disney trip this year. (sorry for my ramble!)

Oh man I need to sub to this thread! haha

I want to go to Disney NOW like right now!
I shouldn't complain since we're going at the end of Sept (149 days!)

But I guess I'm bummed since my sister and I had a "sisters weekend" trip planned for this month (may) and we had to cancel it just a few weeks ago so I think thats why my brain is thinking "disney trip right now!" and there is no trip :( Plus life has just been extra hard lately and I need the magic of the Disney parks to cheer me up.

All my planning for the Sept trip (my sister and my 3 daughters) is done so there isn't much more to do but pine for Disney every day!

I agree with everyone-start planning, even with no real intention of going. I always do this on 'off' years. I also, if I have it, sock a little money away in our safe in an envelope marked 'Disney.' It makes me feel better every month to do this, even if I only throw 20 bucks in it some months. I also started saving my loose change. This way I can say I'm "getting ready" to go to WDW, and I'm not really "saving."

I'm planning for fall 2014 for some of the same reasons (waiting for mine train among others). For this year, I have two other vacations to look forward to because BF doesn't want to go to WDW every vacation. He says it's too expensive. So, I just started planning it and dropping tidbits about 2014 here and there and he is now on board.

I agree with PP...just plan pretend vacations and learn more about what to include. When you finally get there you will be well educated so to speak. Pay special attention to what will be different when finally get there (resort renovations, new acts etc.) and put them in your plan to check out.

I caution you not to start your countdown too soon however. Putting up a 400 or 500 day countdown is too discouraging. But, you can always watch Disney movies....just to keep in the mood.

Plan and make ADR"S!!! I didnt read everyone response but there is a great app called Sorcerer Radio- FREE!! IT plays all Disney music like Tomorrowland Area Music, AKL music, ride throughs like Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and POTC. I have it playing in the car all the time! It helps me to feel like we are there! It also plays music from rides that are no longer there like Delta Flight and 20000 under the sea! Enjoy!:cool1:
