I was busy last week. I replaced the toilet in the back bathroom.
I know, I KNOW, too much excitement for one post. I'm no Renaissance man like
@jbrostek, but I do know my way around a toilet both inside and out. *I have experience* - don't ask me what
So the back bathroom in our 90+ year old house (the other bathroom is off the master bedroom) had what I would call a LOW/child toilet (about 14" above floor level). Currently all our kids are grown adults that we would like to have them come visit us and .... well .... a higher throne is preferable.
Home Depot (and YT) is my friend for us ignorant DIY'ers. Here is a pic of the old T is the foreground and the new T in the far back corner.

The finished, FINAL product is in this pic (after a return visit to HD to rectify a cracked hinge on the seat in the 53# toilet kit. I won't stand (or sit LOL) for a damaged product.
@Teamubr wouldn't accept a damaged product I know (that was my motivation)). By mid-afternoon, all was good.

Pivoting the next day to demonstrate my versatility, I prepped 4# of fresh cherries for pies (de-stem, pit, and cut/dice) which was a LOT more work than I expected (never done it b4).

And yes,
@FtW Mike, I did wash my hands before I started to take the stems off.
Not that I was COUNTING (at the beginning) but 4# was supposedly enough for 2 pies. And I counted the cherries as I took the stems off. 151 of them.
Then I pushed the pit out with the unsharpened end of a #2 pencil (
YouTube is my friend again).
After ripping the bottom off the first few cherries, I got a sharp knife to cut an X on the bottom of the cherry so the exiting pit would pass more easily and leave the bottom parts of the fruit.
Three times touching each fruit. 450X for two pies fruit. My first time, don't know if it's worth it. Might do blueberries next. You just freeze them, right?

No prep?
Working next on a reclamation project that goes back to a past Gulf State Park trip. I'm ashamed of my negligence but it has to be done (for the future).
