The DisFort's Chit Chat Cafe

if you go on to Etsy and search Fort Wilderness Pillow it comes up… that is where she found it….
Etsey has lots of cool stuff for disney, shirts, ears, decorations. I got a few things last trip. And yea the pillow is cool.

I am now the friend of every deer in our neighbor. Every morning I have 4 that are sitting in my yard waiting for their corn. The other night I counted 8 in my yard eating away the corn, bird seeds & my new plants. But they were here before me, so I can't get upset. Last late evening, before dark, I was sitting outside reading - I looked up & had 3 that had walked up & was staring at me to please go in the house so I can enjoy my supper. They have me well trained.

Well, I don’t have pix yet but that doe laying down in my previous pic gave birth…saw the brand new fawn this morning but couldn’t get my camera fast enough.
the does have done this before, sleep in my front yard then the next day or so I see a new baby. I guess the street light keeps predators away. My sister says I’m running a home for unwed deer mothers. 😂

Aw man, we just missed the world's biggest Buc-cees coming to Sevierville, TN.

Buc-ee’s is expanding all over the South, and planning its biggest location yet.

The Texas-based, Texas-sized chain will build a new Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, Tenn. that, when completed, will be the world’s largest convenience store, with 74,000-square-feet. That will break the record held by the Buc-ee’s in New Braunfels, Texas, at 66,335 square feet.

Shucks, I may have to go back in thirty or forty years and see it for myself.

Well I guess ill see it before you then. There has already been a request to go back and see more of SMNP plus actually go to Dollywood this time. I am not against that since that is not too horrible a tow for me.

This camper showed up on yahoo yesterday for me. I find it really cool. I mean, I'm not towing one back from Europe any time soon. And the larger one wouldn't fit on any campsites anywhere near me. But that doesn't mean I don't want one.

The Campervan in that link looks even more amazing....though may just be a prototype because it doesn't appear on the company website.

Thats way cool, bit not for me with limited water and no holding tanks. For some it may be good. I also see no storage , at least no real storage. As the slides will take up any avaliable space. Probably light as a feather, but im betting the price is up there.

Some good news. RunDisney dropped their announcement. It is better than I thought. They will be hosting the Wine and Dine in Nov in person with a virtual option. Of course the news i was really looking for was Marathon weekend and that is on. Again it has a virtual option but not going that route. Sign up is July 27. I will be signing up for the marathon, not sure what Bert is doing if anything. The marathon will be Sunday, Jan 9 2022.

On the Mallory front, she has been off her antibiotics for a week now and is quite herself. She is eating (of course we started giving her chicken so that wont stop) and she is chirping. She is excited to go outside. In general acting about as good as in May. We are dealing with the two bedsores, one on each hip. That means bandage change every day. We have decided to keep her around. The concern is when the next infection hits, she won't be able to recover, and infection is likely with the two open wounds and her frequent UTIs, but we live another day.

I am not sure she will be so thrilled to live in the RV but we will setup her beds more like they are in the condo and that should help. Plus she will probably get more outdoor time as my office tends to be outdoors.

Big win today for me. Thanks for all the prayers its been a tough week.

oh yeah, they'd need to add water and holding tanks for me too (and make them in a way they fit in campsites, and make them available in the US, and a lot of other things).....One article showed something like $35k and $50k for the large/small trailers. the manufacturer site showed much bigger numbers now, which I presume are also in Euros.

There probably is a need more so over the pond as they have smaller roads and vehicals. Ot reminds me of the hard side pop up that lifts up and out, travelmaster? Just in a more modren version.

I hope Mallory will stay well. She is still in my prayers. Missy Ultra sound was good. All her organs look good.Except around the kidney glands it looked like she might be getting cushion disease. We are watching if she has to potty a lot or in the house (which she never has), eating more than she normally does, if these occur then back to the doctor. Bama Ed, we love our Buc-ee's in Texas, + What A Burger & Blue Bell ice cream

After seeing firsthand what you and Bert do for Mallory and the challenges she deals with everyday, each day that you all have each other is a blessing. Hope for continued good days for the Rock Star :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It was Peachtree Road Race day. Yes they did it on two days to try and give people space. We chose today. It was strange. Nothing was crowded race or train. Barely any spectators. A rare beautiful July morning in Atlanta. Bert had a good race for no training. I was a little bummed with my race. Was trying to be about a minute faster than I was. Looking forward to taking Mallory out tomorrow to watch the race.

today we have to work on getting furniture from condo to storage. Two weekends to work on condo and one to get RV set up. Then condo remo should begin.

This afternoon was a chore. We were trying to decide the most efficient way of doing things. In the end though we decided getting the heavy sofa bed out of the study and into storage would be the best use of time. In order to do that we had to disassemble the couch.

will try to remember a photo of it in storage but completely apart. It is all wrapped in plastic because it is humid in the storage area and this is an expensive leather couch. it was 4 trips down to get it there but it’s out. It took about 4 hours of work. Still lots to do but we are done for the day. Beer and pizza for dinner. Mallory is not so happy she wants to go out but she will tomorrow.
