Kris the fact that she is so young is what scares me the most. She did have an incident not long after we got her and I took her to a different vet that thought she just pulled a muscle so she was on Muscle Relaxers for a week.
Sky her little sister knew something was up when we got home and alternated from over and checking Katie ( She was a little loopy most of the day ) and annoying me to go over to her.
Did after 3 calls from me and 2 by our vet get an CONSULT appointment with the Ortho Vet ours recommends on Aug,4 th . His receptionist couldn't get the idea of what we are looking to have done. We are going Sat morning to see another vet for a consultation . She is married to a friend of mine and while not a specialist in this area has worked with our vets 2nd and 3rd choices for this what we want to done for Katie. She was ready to have me come right in till she heard what we had put into place today and said we have some time and maybe it would be better to let Katie settle down a few days let the pain meds she want on kick in. Having her husband get reports from me for the next few days is also on tap

Kris and Mike Thanks. I have seen the film and it is severIely deteriorated. It also explains why she is so overweight and so lazy. as I said based on past experience and how she has been acting I was half expecting this diagnosis. Hopefully Dr Sandy knows of a vet that can/will do hip replacement . I do know I have a pair of super vets on my side and will send us in the best direction

This afternoon the Surgeon recommended by our regular vet called and Katie and I get to take a 3 hour ride up to Malvern Pa Monday. When I called yesterday the first available appointment was Aug 4th Asked to be put on standby list and it paid off. Now if the Doctor would put off his 2 week vacation starting a week from now i would be very happy. Well maybe he should go an extra week. We have reservations to go to same Campground for it's annual Cheeseburger In Paradise weekend that we took the Girls to 5 days after we got them.

Katie took no time letting us know she was a true CHOW HOUND

And a Golf Cart Commando

Sister Sky showed she like Golf Cart Rides too.

Sitting here today thinking about what I need to get done. DW walks in with a package, says it is for me. I did not order anything. Look at the address and do not recognize that either. I pull out the letter in the envelope and it has me bawling.

Last night we had some severe thunderstorms roll thru. We got something like 4 inches of rain in an hour. Neighbor said he has never seen it this bad before. Road in front of house was flooded down to one lane. The creek jumped up 5 feet in no time. We had some water infiltration in to the basement but that is due to all the wet weather, and our foundation is stone, so it pushes in between the floor and stones.
Hopefully the new gutter system when they install it will help as now a lot of water over shoot the gutter and hits the front yard. The new gutters will help and move the water away from the foundation.
Feeling ok today, little nausea after breakfast, but a nap solved that. Bloodwork in the morning once again.

Sorry for no posts/trip reports. While we had great service on the way south, the Sprint/T-Mobile service in the campground and around Magic Kingdom was slower than I ever seen there. I been with Sprint since 2009 so that means 10 years of trips to FW and never once was data service this horrid. I think the TS when it blew through did something to a tower, even my work phone in VZW was super spotty and slow for hot spotting at FW. Couple that with how unstable the internet has always been at FW since the move away from the cable modems (I was right next to an AP with strong signal, but the CG was severely congested network wise.) I just gave up on attempting to get posts going.

We did have an awesome trip and smooth travels south and back north. I will get a nice recap thread going tonight as I sort though the over 500 pictures combined from everyone we traveled with.

@FtW Mike So sad to hear Katie is having so much pain. Having just gone through similar with Bug I can only imagine how exhausting and stressful it can be. Lots of wishes you find the best plan for her so she can enjoy a long happy spoiled life with you two.

Teamubr, Happy belated birthday!! Mine is this Saturday & I share it with my oldest Granddaughter. My Missy is having the same problem on the right side of her lower back. The muscle in the lower part of her back. She was chasing a large bird in the doggie park few days ago & came back with her right foot not touching the ground. I thought she might had something in her foot. No, the vet gave her a shot (she started screaming) & on meds. She will go back Sat. for another shot. Missy will have a total of 3 shorts. She seems to be doing a little better. But you can tell she does not feel good. I am carrying her when she had to climb.
