Happy New Year! We just said our g'byes to da Croutons . Too many former people needed him at home so they left a few days early. Well at least we planned our next trip to goof around together and picked our ADR places for July - and managed a glass o' the grape or two (and you should see the empty beer cans - or maybe you shouldn't.)

We all Wiibowled and cow raced. Now who sat in the planning meeting at Nintendo and said, "OK, now for Wii sports we'll put in golf, table tennis and cow racing." ???? it's hilarious

LOL! Sounds like a good time was had by all! So, do share...what do you guys all have planned? Do you have a park planned for Friday? You may just be my deciding factor.

What meals are you planning? I know we will be doing Kona Cafe lunch, ESPN either lunch or dinner, and Jiko dinner.

Bob wants to be a Aerospace Engineer. Embry-Riddle has 2 locations. He chose Prescott, Arizona.

Katie: we decided on Disneyland in February and 4 or 5 restaurants to try to get ADRs at in July. We haven't "assigned" days to them. We also may not decide on which parks to visit until maybe ... July?

I too have a fun day of orthodontist/postoffice/grocery/laundry/putawaymultitudeofChristmasstuffs/finishStarbuck'sMudPieicecreamthatRJandKimmyleft. Such things to do.

Annie - Did lots of sitting around and eating in the land of dial up internet. It was in the 40s the whole time we were there and foggy. Not good for taking baby out and about on the ranch. No fishing. No horseback riding (ryan may speak to me again eventually) One day of shopping. Got to feed cows! Not very exciting I am afraid. But yep mostly sitting around. I was bored. Glad to be home but you should see my front room! So I too have the laundry/find places for new stuff/deChristmas the house/cancel vacation mail hold/grocery store type errands to run today. As you can see I have jumped right on those and am not procrastinating at all.

OK reserved our room at the Radisson. Currently set for arrival Friday 7/18.

Annie - the limo service is Florida Classic Limo. Owner is Harry his wife is Luka I think. They run the old style classic limos. No super stretch which works for a smaller family. He will stop at the grocery store etc. for no extra fee. We had him pick us up at MCO and take us to HI in Cocoa Beach last time with a pick up at the port and return to MCO. No problems at all. They do have a simple website where you can view the cars and email them for info.

OK off to do next small chore. See I am doing a chore, surfing the net, doing a chore, surfing the net. Keeps me from getting overwhelmed with the downstairs mess.

Next up....call the riding lesson trainer and get back on calendar.

Is 40's normal for CA?! That sounds unreasonably cold to me for you guys! We've got a brrrr factor wind chill today (wore my long johns & LLBean wool socks to work)! Betsy, TZM & Ophie - sounds like you guys are also getting a taste of winter down there!? I hope it comes & goes quickly! I would like to put my order in now please for a dose of average to slightly above average temps accompanied by abundant sunshine for Jan. 18-22! (Although that is not what the Farmers Almanac calls for...) I really want our first ever winter trip to FEEL LIKE we went somewhere! I don't want to have to pack long johns & fleece for FL!! I am already watching the extended Accuweather.com forecast for Orlando!

40's are a bit chilly for us. But I guess a beeg storm is headed our way tomorrow night. 3 storms are waiting offshore to come and nail us. the worst will be Friday. Rain down low and lots of snow up high and then really really windy. Note to self - go get hunker down supplies.

But we do need the rain.

Ok just spent 1+ hour on computer looking at different travel scenarios to try that drive up the east coast after cruise. DH says it might be better to see relatives before the cruise and then cruise will be more relaxing. Not relax on cruise then ruin vacation by seeing relatives. He is so smart. So then looked at driving down the east coast. But rental car $$ will kill ya! $500 one way charge. As if! Looked at priceline for the rental but seems a little scary. Looks like must be airport PU and drop off. hhhmmm....Oh well baby is waking up. Maybe try again another day.

Hunker down supplies - here that would be bread, milk & TP. Never quite sure why that combo. Like you could do what? Eat a piece of dry bread and wash it down with a big gulp of milk?! YUK!

Cruise Info. FOLDER! I like it! (Beats the ratty old notebook I've beens stuffing things into!) I might need one of those myself!

I think your DH is right - visit relatives first then rest! BTW - SW is to release their schedule thru July / beginning of Aug. on Jan. 9!! Air Tran usually releases around the same time too. They fly out of both Washington Dulles and BWI here so you could always use that option. Fly from CA to here - visit for a few days then fly from here to FL...dunno where in FL tho!? MCO?! Someplace closer to the port (Melbourne?) The other (cheap) airlines that go direct from here are Air Tran & JetBlue (Dulles only) and TED. With the baby I'm sure you'll want direct! It's about a 2 hour flight from up here!
