Welcome home, Annie! Great gift! Hope you get something nice from DH, too! :goodvibes

 OMG I LOVE her! I have decided to name our Roomba "Rosie" (after the maid on the Jetson's)! She's awesome! I put her to work in the kitchen first. There's definitely going to be a little learning curve with her. It came with these 2 "virtual lighthouses" that use like an infared beam or something to block off a particular room so I confined her there. She couldn't fit from the back of the chairs but could go between on the sides and she wasn't going to be able to go around the barstools at the island so I decided it would be best in there to just remove everything out of her way so she would have an easier time. I opened the door to the basement & the "cliff" sensor worked beautifully - she did not tumble down the stairs!:thumbsup2 She cleaned in there for about 35 min. Now I've moved her on to the foyer / powder room / laundry room!

So far, so good - she's great!:cloud9: I think that she will probably consume a lot of supplies (batteries & filters etc.) but what can you do? Still cheaper than a cleaning service, right?!:goodvibes The cats are just a little freaked out!:lmao: They will have to get used to their new "Aunt Rosie" tho!

Hey ya'll....just checking in to wish everybody a Merry Christmas!:santa: RJ - I know you're done...How 'bout everybody else - are you DONE!? I still have to go to the grocery store to get a small ham etc. for us + MUST FINISH WRAPPING! At least my new bestest friend Rosie can help me clean today (to the tune of "whistle while you work"). :goodvibes DH went online & found a picture of Rosie, printed it & cut it out & taped on her when I wasn't looking!:rotfl:

(DH did his wrapping last nite...one of the tags says to "Captain LeeAnn"!:rotfl2: :confused3 Hummmmmmm)

Anyway, hope everybody has a great holiday!!:dance3:

"She" has a name!!!!:lmao: I love it!

Im done here too. Just have to clean the house top to bottom and put together a French Toast Loaf for tomorrow morning. My Mom is going to take the kids to make cookies so that gives me a chance to get stuff done. DH is working...the first year he has worked on Christmas Eve in as long as I can remember. We arent quite sure why he didnt take the day off. I think he forgot. But hes getting out early and things are going good, so Im not freaking.

We will then do the 4:00 Mass(gotta go at like 3:00 to get a seat!), come home, do our gifts, then the family will be here probably around 6:00-7:00.

Thanks for the Christmas wishes Annie, and a very Merry Christmas to you all too! :santa:

How did you get sucked in to both days, Ronnie Jo? ;) Good Luck!

I like your creativity though! Enjoy!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my DIS friends and family!!!!

I'm having dinner here tonight for my dad and brother and tomorrow mom's side comes. 6 tonight and 18 tomorrow. Wrapping finished. Now just to cram all the stuff in the stockings tonight (I hope I don't forget - done it, would not like to repeat it!) Actually CRAM is a joke. I'm having trouble coming up with things and there are already sooooo many things under the tree that the stockings will be light. I figure at least this way they can still HANG over the fireplace - unlike other years when I've had to lay them down.

I can't wait until they open the beeg present. Wii I wanna play!

Have fun everyone! Be safe! Christmas blessings and may Santa bring you everything on your list. (I'm hoping for a heep beeg dark blue/white/red boat with yellow life boaties hanging off o' the side. Oh, and with an official "Cheri Suite" to be delivered in 2011. It could be a graduation present for me for when Timmy graduates :santa: C'mon Santa. Pleeeeeeezzzzeee? I've been good this year!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

RJ!! You made me cry!! I love the coaster set!!! (but it was the flying monkey that made me cry!!...LOL)

I also got VERY smanchy oven gloves from Cheri!! Now I can cook with STYLE!!

LOL!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I got a new camera...now I have to read the bible that is the instructions!! YIKES!

Hey ya'll - Merry Christmas! Hope Santa treated everybody well...

We got home from MIL's around 11:45 last nite & had to wait until about 12:30 to "play Santa" so DS slept in until a little after 8:00!:yay: Thank goodness he didn't get up at like 6:00!! DS took SO-O long to open his gifts this morning! OMG - I didn't think we'd ever finish! Seriously - he took over an hour! No ripping right thru them for this kid! This was definitely a Wii Christmas for sure tho! I think he has enough games to last him 3 or 4 months without repeats!! They just hooked it up downstairs. I need to go check it out.

I was right about my "bauble" from DH - a new necklace (to match a bracelet from my parents). And my gift to "Captain LeeAnn" was a set of Captain Morgan highball glasses for the bar.:lmao: Along with another gallon of the Captain 'cuz he was still on sale! There was also a neon Captain Morgan clock for the basement among my gifts - but I'm thinkin' Spencers might be gettin' that one back...LOL! I'm not so much into the neon signs & stuff for the basement...and we've managed to keep the decor down there not too tacky so far...we built in a display cabinet for DH's steins & redskins stuff so that's all contained...actually, the basement is maybe nicer than the REST of our house! :goodvibes I hate to return things but...:confused3 I already have sort of a retro looking wall clock down there...

OK, so Betsy got a camera - very cool - what kind? A little tiny one or a big 'ole SLR? I never use all of the functions on either of mine...just too much to remember! RJ / CamColt - what did ya find under the tree for you guys?

We ate a very late breakfast - so I am making a traditional Xmas type dinner for late afternoon / early evening (a small ham, aspargus and / or stuff for the greenbean casserole & scalloped pot.). My Mom did Italian for her dinner the other night & MIL usually does beef on Xmas eve so I figured just stick to the ham thing to keep it mixed up!

Sounds like everyone is making out very well!

The kids got me a snow globe and an ornament that they bought at the holiday shoppe they had at school. DH and I sort of got each others gifts in advance. We were shopping one day and I saw Tink PJs I wanted and he saw a sweater he wanted so we decided to save ourselves the trouble and those were our gifts to each other. Since the kids came along and life got stressful, its mostly about them now. We dont usually do big gifts....its one less thing on the list. :guilty: But Santa brought me a new Disney desk calendar(he does every year) and a bag of Hershey Kisses.

From my family I got some cash, Outback gift cards, nice leather goves, Kohls and Target gift cards, etc... We do a lot of gift cards in our family. ;)

Annie we too were doing the Santa thing about 12:30! Boy does the night fly and of course the kids are wired even after everyone leaves. We just did breakfast at my parents house. Dad always plays short order cook on Christmas morning. :goodvibes Now we are home for a while and will go to my sisters for dinner. Just what we need...more food! :scared:

Oh and Johnna, LOVED the card. You guys look great. We got our mail last night when we came in from church so I wasnt really looking at the mail, I was getting stuff ready. DH opened it and asked who are these people. :rotfl: He put the card on the counter(upside down to me) and I swear I thought you were my friend Jill. You look just like her...upside down.
But that is a great shot of you all! Thanks for thinking of me! :goodvibes

:rotfl: Ditto! (Except for the friend Jill part!) DH is always like "who are these people"? Funny! But we did the same thing yesterday - I grabbed the mail on our way OUT to MIL's & looked at it last nite at midnight while DS was putting his cookies & egg nog out for Santa!

Been working Rosie out again today too...OMG I love her! She locked herself in the powder room for awhile tho...good thing I was home! I guess I need a door stop or something to keep her from shutting the door on herself...just a little more to learn about her!

OK - so where's Cheri? Did she get her "heep beeg boat"!?:)

:rotfl:

The other night I saw an old Saturday Night Live. Has anyone seen the Womba skit?

Annie - no..I got a Canon Powershot 850..It really has a fast shutter...our old one was so slow, that we missed a lot of shots

I need to take more pictures...like my coasters (RJ gave me stone coasters with the pic from my siggie and "the day I married my best friend" on it!! They are sooooo nice, I don't want to use them..but my mother said "I am sure they are made to be used!!"

Morning...back to work..bah humbug!
I will be glad when January 7th rolls around and I have the week off!

*grumblegrumble*

Oh what a neat idea for the coasters. Very cool, Ronie Jo! :goodvibes

Besty's Mom...love the sign. I like your way of thinking! :goodvibes

Disney gave me a little gift this year and I just gave it to myself I guess. :yay: As I have whinned on here before I wanted to stay at the AKL before the cruise, but I waited before booking the savananh view room I had see with a discount and I lost it. All they had were standard view rooms for the dates I needed and I wasn't thrilled with possibility of a view of a parking lot at that particular hotel(usually it wouldnt bother me).

Well, I checked last night and a pool view was available. I waited and thought it over...and this morning I decided I don't want to wait too long and lose this one too. So I just booked it!!!:cool1:

We will be at AKL 7/17-7/20 in a pool view room! Now if a savannah view comes out I will need to do some adjusting, but for now, I'm happy. I'm going to try to keep it from the kids until we get there, but I may end up letting Cam know. Hes not good with surprises(like me).
