Here is some Disney info that I read at [All Ears(R) Weekly Newsletter] April 2008 Walt Disney World Bits and Bites

The Travel Channel has announced four new programs, hosted by
Samantha Brown, under the umbrella "Season of Disney" to air at
9 p.m. on Fridays, starting April 11. The first program will be
"Season of Disney: Samantha Brown's Favorites," in which she
discusses what she likes best at Disney World and Disneyland.
The remaining shows in the series are: "Season of Disney: On a
Dime" on April 18; "Season of Disney: Splurge!" on April 25; and
"Season of Disney: Royal Treatment" on May 2. Verify times and
dates with your local listings.

Disney Cruise Line has extended its contract with Port Canaveral
through 2023. In addition, DCL has signed an agreement to base
its two new ships, scheduled to launch in 2011 and 2012, there.
Under the 15-year agreement, the Canaveral Port Authority will
extend the dock and enhance Disney's terminal building to allow
for additional luggage and passenger capacity. The enhanced
facility will feature several "Disney touches" for children. The
authority has also agreed to build a multi-level parking
structure by 2011.

Cool! I'll actually be in WDW for a few of those shows but that's what TiVo is for! Thanks for the info.

I would like to echo The Disney Fanatic's sentiment less than two weeks to go, let us know when your home safe and sound, I too will be keeping you in my prayers for safe return. 117 degrees yesterday huh, what's it like in summer! Look at it this way, you'll be one of the few guys that can go to WDW in July and not melt! Stay safe.

Good morning, or whatever time it is to you over there. Right now it's 1640 (440 PM) Eastern Time..........

It's 110 today (nice breeze off the Gulf )....Last time I was out here I was here for June, July and August

THAT was hot!!!!!!!!!! Even by this Southern Fella's standards.....add 70 pounds of Armor and Equipment...

Sitting in an office for the time being though (except yesterday)....

Guys, I really wouldn't have it any other way (though I am leaving my current Agency--I'm a Federal Agent, out here to advise........foreign law enforcement--for another), and I'm sure my "new agency" will probably want to send me back out here...

I've done 4 tours with my Agency.....Protective Ops on UN Personnel (somewhat fun, but no kids) in Iraq, What we call CITF (hunting Taliban) in Afghanistan (also fun, but no kids), Detainee Operations (hunting Al Qaida) in Fallujah, Iraq (Not fun AT ALL), and now advising....I've seen enough desert to be totally honest with you...

I don't have it nearly as bad as some of my Active Duty Cohorts, and my heart goes out to them everyday (even though I'm right in there with them)...

I've seen good, I've seen bad.....but all in all, I've been proud to "do what I do". My family (even to a point my wife) don't understand--but that's OK, they don't have to....I get it, and it seems that's Ok with them.....

So thank you for all your kind words, I couldn't thank YOU enough, just for the support of me and all those around me...

Oh yeah, and I REALLY can't wait to put my feet up on the Coffee Table (and get yelled at for it ) and watch the specials....

Believe it or not, you miss commercials out here....AFN only shows the Military Approved Commercials...you miss the good stuff

This will be our first trip as DVC'ers - and we're so looking forward to it. But then I get to go back to DL in 3 weeks (my company is based in So. Cal)... and that sure helps in getting a fix in between family trips.

We're planning (right now, subject to change ) on a fall vacation from the 19th to the 26th of October

I know it - at least I know that BW is great. We stayed there 1 night a couple of years ago, and had a blast. Friends of ours have owned there for 10 years, and just love it. I've eaten at ESPN before - but not Spoodles or Flying Fish. We're debating which one we want to try this trip. We've never been to the AK accomodations before but have really wanted to try it previously. My younger son was SOOOOOO excited when we told them it was now our home resort. (None of the fam was very thrilled with SSR, but AKV - now that got them all worked up! Just getting to go gets me worked up though... ).

DisneyFed - we fly in in the morning of the 24th and leave late on Nov. 2nd. If you're doesn't change, our trips could overlap!

Sounds like a great Plan

We will be doing the same thing for 12 days over the 4th of July time frame. 6 days at each resort will be great I can't wait.
