thanks stopher1. :) John had an incredible day...he has more votes than all the others combined! :thumbsup2 From the posts and emails I've sent there's been a tremendous show of support. One of my emails has been forwarded to three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe) and DisFed is voting hard in Iraq.

But it's a marathon so we have to keep the pressure on! Thanks for your help and hope you can vote again and again...I'll post some numbers tomorrow!

pixiedust: for everyone's help and John and Lori and the kids!

Thanks stopher1...John has sprinted to an early lead...hope we can keep the momentum up all month long.

Dis Fanatic...YOU ROCK! Awesome addition to the signature. You and I will have to hook for some Steeler football and a beer! or two!!

Sounds cool but make it a root beer for me . I just voted for John. :thumbsup2

I agree totally...Goofy is the DIS Dad's Club Official Mascot!:goofy: Oh yeah, The DIS Dad's Club qualifications have been amended with your additions.

OMW, this is too funny. I just came across this thread as I was having trouble sleeping and signed on to the DIS and was reading over on the Podcast Forum and saw a link to over here. I am currently wearing my :goofy: sleepwear and have on my :goofy: bedroom slippers, thank goodness I am not as sick as I thought I was............:rotfl2:

My DW, DD and I are meeting fellow DIS'ers for dinner tonight to see pic from their last DCL cruise a few weeks ago.............;)

OK, now I have to take the time to go back and look over this entire thread............:woohoo:

Oh yeah, I also have ::MickeyMo :donald: and Grumpy sleepwear and slippers as well...........:rolleyes1

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Fanatic:worship: :worship:

OK, crashed back into bed at 4:30 this morning and made it through page #15, will try and do some more catching up today.

Here is a pic of a DIS'er friend and myself as we were both celebrating our belated 50th Birthday's in September 2005 at one of the character breakfasts. Also, as I was walking around in one of the stores in DTD later that day I received a very special birthday phone call from Goofy. I guess he saw the birthday button I was wearing.......:)

Oh yeah...

Fed...nine days...we're all pulling for you! Be sure you let the Dad's know when you living large at the resort. :goodvibes

John's update...
Unbelieveable first day. I just voted this morning and John has 3,710 votes! Second has 800+, third 700+, fourth and fifth are far back. Long way to go so keep voting. :surfweb: I spoke with his wife Lori yesterday and they are overwhelmed with the support they have received so far. One of my emails has been forwarded to Asia, Africa, and Europe, and Disney Fed will have all the boys in Iraq on board.

Thanks everyone...pixiedust: for all!!!

You guys have been busy while I have been sleeping!!

1. Happy Birthday Disney Fanatic welcome to the 40 club. That is another thing we have in common I just hit 40 on March 12. It's the new 30's :rotfl:

2. Minniekissedme count another vote for John and I want an invite when you and Fanatic get together to watch the Stillers and drink beer. (I am a root beer man also) :rotfl2:

3. Verandah Man welcome to the club!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

4. DisneyFed 9 days and a wake up!!! Thats great we can't wait to have you back in the USA!!!!:woohoo:

5. Stopher1 I like Rose and Crown because it is right on the water so if you get a late reservation it is a great place to watch IlllumiNations! I have not tried Jiko yet but plan to in November.

:scratchin I'm just a little curious here. Seeing the ages of the all the dads posting I think I have most of you beat, I'm 54yrs old---going on 10---.I took my first trip in 1974:hippie: , when we couldn't afford to stay at the Poly for 80.00/nt.. I know it's not a good thing asking the ladies what their age is:scared: but guys don't have a problem with the question:hourglass . I'd like to know what the ages of all the dads are.

I'll be 53 on April 20th. We made our first trip to WDW in September 1983 and spent 8 nights in a FW trailer for $95.00 @ night, my have the prices changed since then. In August 2005 we were back on FW this time in one of the log cabin homes, I like the cabins better than the older trailers.

Anyhow, we have been to WDW so many times, I lost count since that first trip in 1983. Our favorite thing to do now is cruising on DCL.

My DW and I bought a vacation home in Lake County, Florida it is only about one hour drive north of WDW, if all goes according to "MY" plan, I will be retiring within the next few years, then will be moving down to Florida.

OK, back to my reading.......;)

Oh wow ... this is an absolute join for me ... I laughed as I walked through the list (and realized way too many of them apply to me). The one addition I'd have is the fact that my wife wakes me up in the middle of the night because I've been talking about Disney in my sleep again (lately this revolves around some dream of being asked by a CM if we'd like to spend the night in Cinderella's Castle)!!!

Thanks:upsidedow

There are no idiots here, but I think most of us are a little Goofy :rotfl2:

Oh yea, I fit that bill.............:goofy:

I've been in love with Disney since first watching the Mickey Mouse Club as a child. I remember the first time I saw a Disney movie in the theatre. My grandmother took my sister and I to Philadelphia to see Mary Poppins when I was 9 years old. To this day, that is still my #1 all time favorite Disney movie. My grandmother made her first trip to WDW right after the park first opened, but it took me until 1983 to get there.
