hi everyone! we are back:sad1: we all had a great time. cant seam to get use to the 37 degree morning. the weather was great! rained for 5 min. one afternoon while in liberty tree, other than that, the sun was out!! old band aide still smells good on the express side. the resort side you realy had to think about it. well , eveyone going down , have a good trip!!!! only 352 days to go!!

Thanks for the old band-aid update, I am glad you had a good time!!!

The rides are Great like nothing else. If these same things were on the ground you might not give them a second look . But putting them that high and at Night was very wild. Rollercoaster at NYNY is real nice as well.

TDF that is so VCool I'm a hugh CA fan as well love his TV show and will see his Vegas act as soon as we get back out that way.

I saw the Stratosphere Tower rides on a Travel Channel Special a few weeks ago. I've got to ride them! How's this for an idea? 5 day's at WDW with Tower of Terror each day, fly to LA for 3 days at DL doing that Tower of Terror with a layover in Vegas riding the Tower rides. Bring on the Towers!!!!! I'm scared to death of heights, but I love Tower rides. Go figure. (My wife is gonna kill me!!)

Count me in, I love Disney. I meet about 1/3 of the listed requirements.

Best club I've ever joined. I found myself cracking up reading criteria, just about all of it described me. I even just ordered another Disney vacation DVD and the free custom maps. :cool1:

Didn't even know there was a Dad's thread, how can I join, or did I just join?
Been on the disboards for years. Big Disney fan, I think 80% of the list applies to me.

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You guys have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Wow! Seems like a lot of DIS Dad's are heading out soon. Not that I need to say it, but HAVE FUN! :cool1: Any room in one of your suitcases for me? :rolleyes1

hay padisfam2,(or anyone else) if you have time, go over to sar.springs to the dvc info building and ask if you can see the new tower rooms. we went over w/freinds of ours, they bought sara sight unseen, and they wanted to see what the rooms looked like, the guide said no propblem would you like to see animal and the tower rooms also? so he took us into a huge building and in there were the animal rooms and you open a door and you were in the tower hall ways. they have the rooms all set up complete! the only dif is the views out the windows are card board. i was wondering how they shot the ads for the tower rooms, thats how. im trying to talk dw in another 100 points in tower but i get the old, we have a daughter to put through school!! ya,ya,(you can see who has the purse in our house) i was going to say for what we pay for those nails and hair, i could buy another 100 points:lmao: but we have been married for 24 years, i know better. she said i just have post vacation blues. that could be. 350 days and counting!!

We're gonna take the time on a non-parks day to go see the BLT model... I don't really want to buy points there - but I do want to see it! I'm waiting on the Grand Cali to open up their points sale...but I do also want more AKV points. SIGH.

We will be in wdw for nine days so I was thinking of trying space bags this trip. Has anyone used them? Do they work well? Where did you get them?

Everyone getting ready to go have a great time. I am looking forward to the trip reports.

We use them every trip. The ones you want are the ones you fill up, then roll the air out vs. the ones that you use with a vacuum cleaner. We can fit everything we need for a week in 1 large suitcase for my DW & I,(with plenty of room to spare) and 1 small/medium suitcase for DD8. In our suitcase, I have a bag, & my DW has a bag, which is convenient because once you empty them out into a dresser, you can fill them back up w/dirty clothes, & when you get home you just pull the bag out, & take it to the laundry. no muss, no fuss.:thumbsup2 You could also try Target or Bed, Bath & Beyond. Anyway, have a GREAT trip, & I'll be heading out in 45 days!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Last time I was in Orlando on business I got to see the AKV rooms, I would like to see the BLT rooms. Only thing is I want to see them from the balcony with a view of MK.

Sounds like you had a good time, sorry about the post vacation blues.

We're down to 5 days:banana: :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Now all we need is PSU win on Saturday and we can start our vacation on the right foot.

I will be in Columbus on Saturday but I am not going to the game (I wish I were).

But that's ok I am not a fan either team, Hail to Pitt! Here is to the revival of Pitt/PSU rivalry.

We're now down to the "less than 24 hour mark" - one more sleep tonight and then we're off to the airport and Walt Disney World! All the bags are packed except for the toiletries, and I'll be loading them into the van this evening so I don't have to mess with it in the morning. We have an early departure time (according to the family... no biggie for me since I do earlier flights for work lots o times - but whatever.) Our plane is at 9, so that means we leave the house at about 6:30 to beat the Friday morning traffic getting in to Indy.

Breakfast will be the very gourmet - McD in the airport food court (since we homeschool, DW and the kids usually start their day with breakfast and their first lessons around 8 - so eating here before we leave the house would be pointless...all I'd hear would be "I'm not hungry" or whatever).

Then we should be on the ground at MCO around 11:15 and off to catch the ME bus... I just hope the line isn't bad (last year in Sep. we had a VERY long wait - 20 min to check in for the bus and another 45-50 to actually be able to board one!).

We'll definitely be taking pics and I'll do up some sort of TR later. I've got my MotoQ so I may be posting some info here and there while we're IN the world.

Have a great day guys!

Have a great time stopher! Can't wait to hear all about your trip.

One more sleep for me...and on our way before dayligh...Im in a mad frenzy packing....lol Nothing like waiting till the last day. But is all I have to do today anyway. See you all in about 10 days

Have a great Halloween.

We leave in 3 days. We've tried the space bags in the past and use the small travel ones that you roll up to get the air out, I've see them at most major retailers and Sams club & Costco had them. The vacuum bags work well for packing at home, but once in WDW no vacuum to suck the air out, so we just use the smaller ones. Only problem with the 50lb weight limit you still have to watch how much you pack. This year I we're trying gardengrocer.com so we don't have to pack any water, pop and other food items. Well except for my gluten free food. Flight leaves at 8am Sunday morning from Flint, MI we should be at the GF before lunch.

I ordered water bottles from Costco, and had them shipped directly to the Boardwalk... free shipping, and they hold em til we arrive!
