My wife is interviewing to be a substitute teacher at my kids' school this morning. So I guess I already know a hot teacher!

Awwww.....

My DW does this. A great way to get involved with the school (and get paid for it!). Teachers really do give your kid a second chance/benefit of the doubt if they know you/like you. Really has helped us and our kids. My DW will also sub as a paraprofessional (which many won't do) so she gets more calls than most.

Now that all 3 kids are in school full-time, we thought it would be good for her to "get back in the game", so to speak. She used to teach first grade full-time, then sacrificed 9 years to be Mom. Can't thank her enough for doing that.

And yes, it's great to be involved with the school...but I have to confess, the primary motivation was, "We need some extra money for Disney!" :rotfl2:

We'll see how the next few weeks go. Last year they had a pajama day once a month at the school, I went in for teacher conferences and there are a bunch of pictures of DS with his arms around various teachers and assistants (just the cute ones though:thumbsup2). DW told me to wipe the grin off my face and stop staring.

I think this year I'll send him in wearing a red smoking jacket like Hef.
And a bubble pipe! :lmao:

I couldn't agree more. My wife got a job at the kids school as Part-time office assistant/part-time teachers assistant and it's the best job. Don't have to worry about daycare and she's involved with the school...we love it. Pay is poor though, but we look past that.

Question about ADR's.....

Do you guys prefer to call or do them online?

And what time of day on your 180th day out can you call/check online?

I did mine online. I think you can start at around 6:30 am... I didn't do it until around 8 or 9 am and got everything I wanted. Then again we are going during a bit of a slower period and our ADR window opened before free dining was announced for that week.

Cool...thanks Andy.

I'm also wondering....if I make an ADR for CRT...normally you have to pay for that meal upfront....how does that work with Dining Plan?

Definitely make them online (unless you have a problem, like someone had last week when the system couldn't find their reservation). The window opens earlier, and you don't have the deal with the annoying phone tree menu.

You still have to enter credit card information at the time of the reservation, because they can't charge your dining entitlements if you no-show. They charge your credit card.

Gotcha! :thumbsup2

Is that Window opening @ 6:30a?

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Any extra pay is a help for us. We'd love to make it the vacation fund.

I thought you could actually start at 6:00 a.m. Eastern.

My "You Have a Text" tone is the classic "Wilhelm Scream". When my mother in law calls, it screams over and over and over again.

Niiiice!
My DW was like that, wanted a baby real bad, until I pointed out to her that it wouldn't be to long until our 18 year old DD will be having babies that she could play with. She never even thought about that. One of those times you could see the light bulb go off. :rotfl2:
My daughter is 15. It BETTER be a while or we're going to be shopping around for a new daughter. :)

I can only imagine what the people around you must think when you answer that way. :lmao:
Most people know me so it's not a big deal. :)

Online. I only call when I wreck one.

Mrs. Deluca comes to visit her son, Anthony for dinner. He lives with a female roommate, Maria. Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Anthony and his roommate than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, Anthony volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking but I assure you, Maria and I are just roommates.''

About a week later, Maria came to Anthony saying, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver sugar bowl. You don't suppose she took it, do you?"

"Well, I doubt it but I'll email her, just to be sure." So he sat down and wrote an email:

Dear Mama,
I'm not saying that you "did" take the sugar bowl from my house; I'm not saying that you "did not" take it. But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.

Love,
Anthony
Several days later, Anthony received a response email from his Mama which read:

Dear son,
I'm not saying that you "do" sleep with Maria and I'm not saying that you "do not" sleep with her. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the sugar bowl by now.

Love,
Mama

Our building was just rocking as well. Apparently it was centered in Virginia, but we were very aware of it here on the NC/SC boarder.

That’s a new experience for me.

My buddy in Newark, NJ just emailed and said he felt it, too. I've never experienced THAT before!
