First grade meet the teacher night last night. Found out DS's teacher is a former NC State cheerleader. I think DS already has a crush on her, all the other kids are giving her hugs and DS walks up, shakes her hand, introduces himself by his full name, and tells her "I'll be sitting over there if you need anything."

We'll see how the next few weeks go. Last year they had a pajama day once a month at the school, I went in for teacher conferences and there are a bunch of pictures of DS with his arms around various teachers and assistants (just the cute ones though). DW told me to wipe the grin off my face and stop staring.

I think this year I'll send him in wearing a red smoking jacket like Hef.

That's the one good thing about the problems DS had last year, we have our first one on one meeting with his teacher in a few weeks to discuss keeping him focused. I don't think that will be a problem

2nd day of school and we are back in the routine of the kids not wanting to get up. Yesterday wasn't a bad day for them. They made the best of it and their teachers are expecting a lot from them which is a nice change from last year. DW had offered to help tutor a couple of hours a week and found out yesterday she is the new school librarian so her "few hours" turned into 1.5 days a week. Should be good for her though as it gets her out of the house.

No hot teachers either so some other dad will have to post those pictures.

Well the heating and AC people never showed....sons of beverly!! I put a call in to another business hopefully we will get something done tomorrow. Luckily...the night have started to dip inot the 50's so I put the screens in and the windows are up! I think we will survive tonight LOL
