pets won't work for me, my dog is in foster care until sometime after the 4th, and I refuse to take a picture with DW's annoying cats.

best part of saturday, it's not easy taking a pic of one self while sleeping.

After many years on the boards i have discovered this club!
Better late than never right?

I found you actually via your podcast.

I will start by declaring my total fascination with all things Disney.

In our family I am chief planner, DW is the grounded one!

DD5 is my little princess and is a tink and general princesses superfan.

We are based in London, UK

We are DVC members and spend a minimum of three weeks per year at WDW and have been going every year for many years as a couple and then as a family.

We are heading to the boardwalk for three weeks at the beginning of august and we are buzzing with excitement.

I caution all readers that DW and I share this ID so I do not have gender issues sometimes on other threads it may be DW!!!!

Welcome Raz. I'll be back in London the week of June 6th. Want to shoot for an international Disdad meet. I usually stay near the Queensway station and my office is on Tottenham Court Rd.

Pirates of Carribean 4 rocks. It was over 2 hours long, but worth it. There were some really intense scenes in this one that my children were scared. We saw the others on DVD, so it may have just been in the cinema. My only complaint would be there is not as much action on the pirate ships as there was in the other movies. Music still rocks. Storyline is still excellent. Captain Jack Sparrow is still Captain Jack Sparrow. Angelica is hot. And, there are 3 story lines for #5. Enjoy the music and wait until the end of the credits for a scene.

So I was listening PoC4 being discussed on the Laughing Place and they mentioned that this is the first movie produced under the Disney brand name that is PG13 for Sexuality not violence. Did you notice anything overtly sexual about. The other item pointed out in that podcast was that Disney created Touchstone films so that they could have a top less mermaid. What is it about mermaids and Disney?

this is the best one of dd and i!!! its a zerfass trait if you dont want to have your pic taken,try on clothes,watch something you dont want to, is to slump your sholders and make a face. dw kept saying to me, now you and briana,now you and briana. so we did the old dont want to do this pic!

Dave all the pictures are great, but this one really made me laugh. My kids and I have all felt that way when my DW is taking pictures, but none of us'd dare show it.

DW: Do you know what he looks like?
Me: He's wearing a DisDads shirt.
DW: You have SHIRTS?!?!
Me: Yeah, missed my window of opportunity on that one...

Glad I'm not the only whose wife thinks they're a little bit crazy. Of course mine thought that before the shirts.

Back from WDW as of 1am. A recap:

Hoop De Doo Revue: (thumbs). Can't believe now that we hadn't tried it before.

Boat to Ft. Wilderness across Bay Lake during a thunderstorm: (not thumb). Lightning in front of and behind us? That can't be good.

Sanaa and Flying Fish: (thumbs) Another couple of excellent meals at those places. Best food of the trip.

Bay Lake Tower: (not thumbs)

The wait at the Rapunzel and Flynn Meet and Greet: (not thumbs). Having this set up as a timed program with separate "shows" can be pretty discouraging.

Having a daughter get up the nerve to ask Flynn if the crown is in his satchel: (thumbs). Ummm.. if you have kids at this meet and greet, I would encourage you to get them to ask if the crown is in the satchel...

Canceling the Phineas and Ferb Meet and Greet after I had rearranged our schedule: (not thumbs). CURSE YOU DISNEY THE PLATYPUS!

All in all, a great trip. Kind of a rough start, but a lot of really fun stuff and quality family time. I think we hit the length of stay pretty well, as the girls were ready to get home and back to normal and not clawing at the doors as we took them to the car...

...that was me.

Sounds like a great trip but know I'm sure we all want to know what's up with BLT and what's in the satchel.

Maybe their summer vacation hasn't started yet....then again, how the hell do they get 104 days of vacation? Must be an American thing....

My guess is they said the school year is mandated to be 180 days long. You divide that by 5 to come up with the number of weeks during the school year and come up with 36 weeks. You multiple that by 7 to come up with the total number of days in the school year including weekends and that comes up to 252. If you assume 9 vacation days throughout the year that takes your total to 261. If you subtract that from 356 you get 104 days. Of course they could have just thought that was a good number.

Is everyone enjoying the sunshine? I have not seen it in so long that I am not sure how to act! Went to the baseball game this morning and before Ethan got up to bat I had to take off....the pollen in the air caused my left eye to litteraly swell shut!!! i drove home with 1 eye and then the right one started to do the same thing...took a dose of benadryl and some claratin and a few ours later I am awake again.....Now, I am going to tempt fate and try to mos the grass!! I may not be able to read any more posts later

Bummer you didn't get to see him hit, but I'm glad you made it home safely and get the grass cut.

More time on earth!! Yaaay glad I didn't cancel my Disney trip! I was thinking maybe buying water baloons and throwing them at people until it all happened!
Hmmm photo blitz.. I am pitifully sitting in the living room watching mary poppins! wife's asleep..(she works tonight) dd16 in bedroom talking to her BF DS14 playing video games. DD13 watching her television.. Afraid if I get up it will ruin this most peaceful night!! But y'all have fun!

I think that in honor of all this rapture stuff, we gather all the clothes that we don't wear (i.e. don't fit our fat butts anymore) and late tonight go outside and lay them out in front of some of our neighbor's doors to freak them out tomorrow morning.

Ohh yes I forgot!! Whoever it was that mentioned the "Kingdom Keepers" series.. Thank you! My wife is currently reading them and passing them on to our kids! They enjoy it due to all the Disney references!
