I appreciate everyone's thank you's and want to holler back "You're welcome!" :cool1: Again, it's just another one of those "it's what we do" :) At least I'm not putting together the podcast... sheesh... now THAT'S some real work! Thanks again, Aaron and company! :thumbsup2

Wish I could stay up forever like some other dads in this club. I would actually post another TR update. Unfortunately, my king bed is calling my name. Night all!

LOL. That situation has Fulton's Crab House written all over it!
:lmao:

I had thought about Fulton's...but I had eaten there before and never at Raglan. Plus I love me some Irish food...not to mention a pint or three of Guiness! :thumbsup2

Excellent new NCIS tonight :thumbsup2

Why thank you...:lmao:

It was "excellent" until they made it into a two parter. :confused3

They're working on paperwork for the rest of this week...:surfweb::rotfl2: Trust me on this one:lmao::lmao:

Congrats on "2000", i would be happy for 200...thanks for all you do!

Can some one give me the price of the shirts....

I have a special birthday to celebrate Wednedsay...OUR "baby" turns 4..i cant believe that after all he went thru on the day he was born...NOW we look at a very crazy 4 year old who can't wait to go to Mickey's house in a few weeks....from a baby who wasnt breathing when he was born to a toddler that just cant get enough of mom dad and his older brother..

It's amazing the miracles that God can work!! :cloud9: And may the years to come become more amazing!! Ohhhhhhhh and tell Mickey I said Hi!! :wave2:

I'm flexible and can do just about any night if I plan in advance.

Is this for the podcast day?? :confused3

The cost of the DDC shirt is $11.00 plus $4.95 shipping (For up to 2 shirts). The original deadline for the first order was April 1st, but got extended to COB today... which has already passed. If I get enough interest, I could start another order...

It's amazing how kids just bounce back. Congrats on a healthy soon-to-be four year old :)

Let me know where and when to send the check, paypal or whatever pay method your using!! And thanks again for handling this, I'm excited to wear mine!! :woohoo:

I've gotten so far behind this season that have to wait till this season comes out on NetFlix. Hopefully it comes out pretty quick after this season ends.

Let's see....Someone's life ends a little before normal expiration date..

Team solves the crime...

You're up to date now...you're welcome....LOL

Best sandwich at Earl of Sandwich?..ready..GO!!!!

Holiday Turkey Sandwich

I tell my wife that our schedule and the weather dictates that we must take our annual trek to Disney in November - that's a total lie. It's this sandwich right here. Stuffing? It's in there. Cranberries? You got it! Gravy? All OVER the place! And it has loads and loads of oven roasted turkey! MMM!

This is a very, very good sandwich. I will travel there during the holiday season again and again.

Anyone remember JAG, the show NCIS spun off from? That co-star wasn't bad to look at either... What was her name? She's on a show now that my wife watches, Army Wives.

Catherine Bell. There may, or may not, be a video of her FHM photo shoot here. It might be a video of kittens. Just to give you some plausible deniability for clicking through, should you need it.

There was a twist this week! They didn't solve the crime!

Thanks! :thumbsup2:

Hey guys... just popping in quickly to say hi. Nice to see the thread is moving right along with another 8 or 9 new pages.

We made it safely yesterday and are enjoying being here. Had a few glitches along the way with the travel part, but that's okay. We enjoyed the resort last night, and had a great time playing games.

Today it rained, quite a bit of lightening and thunder, with downpours throughout the morning and into the early afternoon, which definitely plays well with hanging out at the resort. We enjoyed a movie, played a bunch of Wii, played cards, and DD and I played hide and seek (this room is ginormous... if you have stayed in a 2 BD at OKW before then you'll know what I mean); made three awesome meals in the room - even ate one of them out on the balcony after the rains had stopped... and when it stopped and cleared up around 2ish, we went over and played some mini-golf at Winter Summerland. Never done that one before, only Fantasia Gardens previously. It was neat. Just like Blizzard Beach, it has some great contradictions in theming. Loved it. During the rain we ventured over to the Community Hall for Pin Trading; while there we were treated to button making. I took some pics and will post them later. Normally that is an activity-for-a-fee, but today is was gratis due to the rain. We each made one, my daughter made 3. Mine was Goofy. I should have added my number for something to it, but only thought about that now as I was typing. One son ventured over to DTD to find a present for his sister, the other ventured over to the resort shop, and in the evening DD and I ventured over to the main pool.

Tomorrow is DD's birthday, and we go for the first of our 2 table service meals. We'll breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe, followed by a trek over to Typhoon Lagoon, then pool hopping after that. (and yeah, I know - it's a park, just not a "theme" park. But it was the kids' request, so we're honoring it - and it IS DD's birthday, so a little honoring is called for I guess...)

We still aren't sure what Thursday or Friday will bring. We're living on the edge here... but having a marvelous time. The rest of the week has no more rain in the forecast, so hopefully that plays out to be true.

I'll post some pics and such when I get home again.

Have a great week guys... I am. :cool2:

Wow you guys are sure a bunch of Chatty Carls today.

Emma's Dad: Great post for #2000, thanks for taking the lead on the thread, and "word to the Daddies."

stopher: Sounds like a good day.

I flew down to Miami this morning and we hit some turbulence. Nothing new except the pilot next to me who was dead-heading all of a sudden perked up and said "Whoa!" Not the most reassuring when a pro says that.

At home I left DW with 2 sick kids which kills me, I wish I could be there to help out instead of sitting here in a hotel. Fortunately our oldest didn't get admitted today and is still home trying to fight a nasty virus that got into her lungs. She's been using a nebulizer along with cough medicine with codine and oral steroids. She's got the cocktail going now for it to kick in. Our youngest has an ear infection, which isn't so bad, but she gets very clingy when she's sick which isn't helping DW try to comfort the oldest. Fortunately the middle DD is fairly self-sufficient and is helping out as much as she can.

I've got 2 more days of meetings down here and then home on Thursday. Hopefully the kids will be doing better tomorrow after a good night sleep.

Excellent new NCIS tonight :thumbsup2

Yes, it was a great episode... I love how they ended it, but it shouldn't have been the end there. Hopefully this case is continued in the next episode... it didn't say to be continued at the end and the preview of next week looks like they're on to something else.:confused3

They're working on paperwork for the rest of this week...:surfweb::rotfl2: Trust me on this one:lmao::lmao:
Gibbs doesn't do paperwork... he delegates it to McGee and Dinozzo.:lmao:

Wish I could stay up forever like some other dads in this club. I would actually post another TR update. Unfortunately, my king bed is calling my name. Night all!
Yeah, I know what you mean... I need to go to bed too. Otherwise, I'd stay up and teach myself some rocket science while you're working on that TR update.:rolleyes1

Have a great week guys... I am. :cool2:
I'm sure you will! Have a great time and thanks for the update!

We do 8 days on our trip as well, 7 days in the parks one day of rest at the resort.. Really our trip is 10 days but we do not count trudging through the airport coming and going as our vacation.

Disney commando I noticed on our podcast you made it a point to mention your need or desire to ride the vehicles on main street and meet the mayor. Care to elaborate more on the reasons? I am truly intrigued.
Not that it's strange but I have never heard that mentioned in any touring plan.

You're welcome! It was fun!

I agree. Ron, I'd love to hear more about this.

Also, does anyone have any experience with park closing due to capacity? From reading the interwebs, seems fairly likely during my trip. I think that we'll be okay (our plans are to get there at rope drop every day and we don't do any park hopping to MK or AK in the afternoon)

I cant truely speak for Ron but after meeting him a few times I can say I got a good feel for his thinking lol.
I am going to go out and say that he really just enjoys taking in all the aspects of main street.Main street in its self is like a attraction. It covers all of your 5 senses. It has sight(beautiful view of castle and shops). It has sound ( music and the chatter of the people). It has SMELL ( the smell of the bakery and other shops) It has tastes (again the bakery and some other shops) and finally it has touch ( shops). When you ride down main st in a trolley you get to take in the beauty of it from a different perspective then trying to walk ( and have people bumping into you etc).Ron is the type of guy that likes to see all the little details of the parks. They are not really hidden details cause they are right there on Main st lol.

Let me know if I am close Ron :thumbsup2

Well 1st I would like to Thank everyone for paying attention:cool1:
Coming from a Park Commando my answer might of thrown some of you for a loop:lmao: Well this is my favorite part of the MK, it also proves that Commandos are stereotyped as running around the park in a mad rush, but this is not the case IMO it's all about timing.

While most rush to get to The Hub for rope drop, They rush by all the Magic of Main Steet, while I like to enjoy what I like to think is Walt's vision of The Perfect Main Street (I know ours is nothing close:lmao:) When I walk through the train station my son & I always get a smile on our face when the Horse Drawn Trolly is sitting there waiting:goodvibes There's nothing like a ride down Main Street to The Castle on a trolly being pulled by a Clydesdale, if you are luckey The Dapper Dans will be singing on the back all the way down. When we get off at the hub we catch the next vehicle that brings you back to the Train Station, it could be The Old Fire Hose Car/Truck or the Double Decker Bus, now picture riding on the top of the Double Decker, all those names on the windows on the 2nd floor of the buildings are in clear view:banana:

While riding we try to spot any Main St characters, Mayor, Fire Chief, Dapper Dans, Womens Group, Dewwy Cheatin so we know where to find them on our walk down Main St. for some meet & greets:woohoo:

The Main St Bakery is another one of our favorite spots, the apple turnovers are so big you need to eat one with a fork and knife:rolleyes1 Plus there's nothing like the smell of fresh baked goods:woohoo:

Also The Main Street Barber Shop is a great place for a haircut (my wife liked the cut better then anywhere my son & I have gone:lmao:) 12 noon is the best appointment to get since The Dapper Dans appear at that time, the shop is so small that when they are singing if you are in the chair, it seems they are singing just for you:goodvibes

60 to 100 years ago this is what alot of Main Steets in the US might have been like, or maybe not I wasn't around then:confused3

I like to stay aware of my surroundings, and try not to miss any oppertunities that might arise, sometimes you have to find the Magic:cool1:

It is kind of funny that most walk right past The Main Street Magic, alot think things only happen beyond The Castle, so if I've sparked anyone's intrest, then I have done what I wanted to do on the podcast:goodvibes:thumbsup2

Sounds like you guys are having fun Stopher. Hope the nasty weather stays away the rest of the trip.

sounds like heaven! Unfortunately I have to be "super dad" and get the fast passes for space mountain while they run to big thunder! I just finished reading "The Hidden Magic of Disney" it's pretty good. They stress slowing down and absorbing the little nuances that make Disney what it is! All the small things that your mind notices but you don't necessarily acknowledge.:thumbsup2 thanks for sharing!

G’morning all,
As they say: miss a little, miss a lot…
Work has been h*** on wheels this week, which is fairly normal for a closing week where I am, but this one has come with extra “features” just to add to the “enjoyment”. I don’t anticipate it really letting up for a while yet so I’ll likely be missing out on today’s dozen or so pages of witty banter and sage advice, but then again, that’s the way it goes.

Let me at least try to hit the highlights:

Nate & Don, nice job on the individual takes for post 2000. Good reflections each. Thanks for letting me tag along.

AJ (and all the dads that got to chime in this time), nice work on organizing and heading up the pod cast… Again… Much appreciated.

Ron, I like hearing you insights on the Commando style. You explain it from the point of view of making sure we don’t miss out on the little thing that make life special in the first place. Well done.

Stopher, sounds like a great time is being had by all. Wish I was there (I mean, I really wish I was there)

EoS… Hummmm… Well, that would be a tie… between all of ‘em.

Y’all keep ‘em straight out there. That is all…

Well 1st I would like to Thank everyone for paying attention:cool1:

Thank YOU, Ron, for sharing your experience! :thumbsup2:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

CIRay? That's sorta what I was thinking! Or, he lied about the suspect having an alibii. Or................... :confused3

I think you guys are right. He just looks evil!

Glad to hear your weathering the rain, stopher!

Doing the single digit dance today! :cool1:
