The Poly is a cash cow, that is true, but so is the Grand, especially in the wedding/honeymoon area. It is the crown jewel of the entire resort, and IF in fact they go with adding DVC to the GF, you can definitely know that the Poly will happen too. It's just a matter of timing. Consider too, that the Poly is 40 yrs old, just 10 years away from being functionally obsolete and will be viewed for a major rehab. There's definitely a reason DVC resorts have an expiration to them vs. Being sold in perpetuity. Just look at the complete rebuild going on at the DL Hotel, the towers of which are just a few yrs older than both the Poly & the Contemporary and you'll realize that BOTH of them will need lots of TLC within the next decade. THere IS space there...just not in the current configuration, but that doesn't mean that WDI isn5 looking at all of their options for reconfiguring and bringing that late '60s/early 70s design up to 21st century ideals.
