Don't take it as gospel though Dave or anyone else... it totally depends on where bookings for the rest of their fiscal year are at (it ends Sep 30th), if they are projecting higher, there might not be much on the promo front, but if they are even only moderately higher, they could still have a spring or summer push to end their year strong. My read from talking with friends in the know is that bookings are up, but only moderately so.

Christopher i was over on the DVC board and saw about the GF Villas that are "rumored" to be next. I was wondering what DVC members here think as I didnt see anyof you postintg there.Me personally would have loved to see them do the rumored river country dvc.
Anyone care to comment?

I'm not sure this is an either/or proposition. If Disney is going to continue to sell new DVC contracts (which is where they make their largest profit on them), they need to continually have new rooms to sell (because of they don't maintain capacity, current DVCers don't continue adding onto their contracts). I think we'll eventually see the River Country DVC development as well. But I think the GF DVC is more of a high-end play, while a River Country development would be a larger capacity play.

I've read lots on the subject, and do believe it is more viable and likely than any other rumor at this point... but you never know.

I thought about posting over there, but would much rather see DVC at the Poly than the GF, so really had nothing to add over there.

I agree with this.

Long-term, I think we'll see both, and more. Short-term, I think this probably is the one to be developed first.

I am saving up for the Poly which will happen in the future, there is no way they will leave it out of the mix.Seems to me everyone wants to see the poly go DVC! I know its just my opinion,I would have zero intrest at the GF.I dont even think I would ever stay there.

Big night here in Richmond! 12 teams left in the big dance and two of them are from our own back yard. We are the college basketball capital of the world!! (At least for the next twelve hours).

Yeah... I'm real proud of the stellar defensive effort my Boilers put up against VCU last weekend.:rolleyes1:sad2:

That said, they came to play and deserved the win. Good luck to the underdogs in the Southwest bracket. I know AJRitz definitely doesn't want to see it happen, but how cool would it be to see Richmond and VCU play each other to get into the Final Four?

I foresee Richmond getting a double-digit spanking tonight. I know that the Richmond win at Allen Field House was years ago, but Kansas teams have a sense of history, and a remarkable record in "revenge" games. (The 1988 team lost home games to K-State, Duke, and Oklahoma, in that order. Then, they beat K-State in the Elite 8, Duke in the Semis, and Oklahoma for the National Title).

OK - I have DisDadDoc and Disney Commando booked for Podcast Episode 3, to be recorded on March 31. I could use two more volunteers. Opening roundtable will be about Magic Kingdom touring approaches. Anyone?

I'm in again, if you aren't full up already.

The problem with DVC at the Poly is space. There's just not room for another longhouse. That would mean converting an existing longhouse to DVC, but (from what I understand) Disney isn't having any problem selling those rooms to cash guests. I guess the most likely possibility would be to convert the Tonga suites to DVC, if the economy is preventing enough of those rooms from being sold.

I wish I could argue with you, but that's even what folks here in Richmond are thinking. VCU on the other hand, should win. Then you'd have the opportunity to beat both of our schools in one weekend. You'd be the ultimate villain!pirate:

I'm in again, if you aren't full up already.

I have DisDadDoc, Disney Commando, and carlnix30 signed up so far.

I'd like to add one more, and have offers from both you (DEA) and prattpak (who have both appeared on two eps already). I'll give it a couple of days to see if I get another "newbie" to step forward (I know jason was interested, but needed to get a headset).

I still haven't gotten around to getting a headset, but I feel almost like some of my experience is inadequate compared to the guys who have done the first 2 podcasts. You're doing a great job of putting together entertaining and informative shows. Hopefully I can get my headset and get with you on one in the future if a topic comes up that I feel qualified to talk about.

Don't be fooled by us sounding confident.
I've only been to WDW once, and that was just this past October. I just researched pretty obsessively leading up to the trip!

In other news - there's new content up over at disdads.com - I posted cj9200's review of the new Haunted Mansion interactive queue.

I understand your strategy. I will stay tuned. :thumbsup2
