I don't think so. I know they will be doing around 3 shows in Pensacola this year (their home base) as well as a show in Lakeland, FL, in a few weeks and Jacksonville in November. Here is a link to their 2011 and 2012 schedule pages: http://www.blueangels.navy.mil/schedules.htm

Yep! He started a 3-year tour with them in November. He is an AO2 with almost 5 years in the Navy and he will be one of two Crew Chiefs for the Blues' Commanding Officer, "Boss Koss", and the #1 jet! We will get our first chance to see him at the Airshow in Millville, NJ, over Memorial Day weekend. Go Blues!

looks like they will be coming our way in July (Ypsilanti). I'll have to take the kids.

*****BREAKING NEWS!******

This just in:

DW has changed her mind (again) and has booked the flight to Orlando for our 40th birthday celebrations!!! Las Vegas just wasn't in the cards (pun intended.) There is no turning back now, we are booked and ready to go! We are going April 2 - April 5!

Woo Hoo! I win!

Ahem. A number of you (you know who you are) committed to helping produce content for DISDads.com, and haven't written anything yet. I posted on Friday and again on Monday. We could really use a midweek post. It doesn't need to be of epic length. Just something to help keep the page fresh. Any volunteers. Anyone, anyone ... Bueller, anyone?

Aaron how do we post? Would we need to send to you for approval first or.....Do you have a particular subject you would like covered?

Hey did anyone notice what it says under my name? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Okay, Aaron, I just posted part 1 of a TR on disdads

On the list and prayed for. Sheesh... 11??

thanks don, there trying to see how far it has gotten, hopefully they caught it early. hard to believe, hes in 6th grade. perfectly health kid, plays baseball, basketball. :sad2:

What days will you be at WDW. We will be there the 21st-23rd?

Our whole family is getting the pre-disney jitters. Last night DW prepared a fancy dinner to help teach the kids proper manners in a fine dining environment. The selected "classical" backround music was the "Wishes" soundtrack.

We are a week ahead of you. Will probably drive up Saturday morning, stay off site and check into BLT Sunday morning (3-13). Unless we do the college visit thing we will drive back Tuesday morning.

I would not worry about dining out with the kids. DD and I got into a food fight at the California Grill and no one said anything. Maybe it was because at another table a kid hurled cheese balls all over the place. They were escorted out (OK, I am getting a little punchy from lack of sleep). It was a smart idea however to prep them with the fancy dinner. Good choice of music.

The keys are great. Feeding tarpon from a roadside dive is always lots of fun.

Glad you like the Keys. No place in the US like it. There is a good restaurant in Key Largo that is built over the water. Glass viewing areas all around. They give you oatmeal to pour down a tube to feed the fishes. Pretty cool watching the feeding frenzy.

A shot of a friend of mine. Too bad the scuba diver got in the way.

Different turtle that was rescued because he could not submerge. They named it OD after the dive operation (Ocean Divers). Last I heard he was still at the sanctuary.

And I must also confess that I am a map taker. Going in AND coming out. They get stuffed with other trip paraphernalia in various boxes in the attic.

liked everything about it except the bus service. Am I crazy for trying something different or is there a better moderate resort for a daddy/daughter trip?

CBR is great resort. If you don't get Port Royale, then don't panic. The buses have a pre-set order, and you should be able to get around with ease. They have a great splash park at the main pool, and their quiet pools are nice. The fake beach is cool w/ hammocks, but don't let her play in the water - snakes. We watched the fireworks over Epcot some nights from CBR. Shutters, TS restaurant is awful, but food court is good. And, bus traffic to/from theme parks was minimal. Jealous. Have a great trip.

i take that back, i meant cowboy football team.

cowboy cheerleaders are okay.
:thumbsup2

Don't mess with the Cowboys. I have the cheerleaders calendar as my Windows phone screensaver.

As I told someone else in a PM today, it's for the DISDads, there's a topic? :confused3

I did notice your status upgrade. I think I had to get to 800 or so to reach Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeville status.

That is soo awesome! I would be so proud! I am proud to know someone that has a son that works with the navies finest! I am an ex submariner stationed on the Whale and then the Atlanta then stationed on the John C Stennis a carrier out of Norfolk. They moved to california and i got out. I loved watching the jets flying at 150 mph hit the deck and just stop! Its a rush being so close and watching them land.

Congrats on having such a great son!

Does anyone around here work?

I come home in the evening only to find another 150 posts.

This has to be the fastest growing thread I've been on.

Y’all were busy this afternoon. As this rate we may just nuke this thread before May.

I went to visit my Grandmother in ICU this morning, I'm glad I did, dhe has since passed:littleangel:

I am very sad but not mad, she was 90 and lived a full active life, I'm sure my Grandparents have been reunited.

I don't know how I'm going to explain it to my son, or if he will even understand:confused3

Sorry to hear this. We’ll keep you and your family in mind as you work through this loss.

This can also be entertaining in the right setting. Say, if the baby belongs to first-time parents who previously criticized your parenting skills before having a child of their own. Not that this has ever happened before. :rolleyes1.

Noooooo… That would never happen. :lmao:

well, today is tammy and i 26th anniversary. she said make sure im home and dressed at 5pm tonight???? i guess that leaves out one thing but sounds like im going out to eat.:woohoo:

Happy Anniversary! :goodvibes
I’m not all that far behind you. We’ll be celebrating twenty years in a few weeks (but we’re saving the major celebration for June when we can get out on the ocean)

Somebody said a naughty word! :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

It's a four-letter one... :sad2:

and there is no "d", "h", "e", or "y" in it...

Hmmm.... I wonder which one, which one it could be :confused3

I think that's pretty much a universal thought unless you live in New York. My two most hated are the Yankees and Ohio State:headache:

Welcome btw;)

My two most hated teams: NY Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles.
