Dave, We will keep him in our prayers

(internal monologue) Okay, Garry. Just post it. If you take a ribbing, you take a ribbing, but you should be proud of your work. A lot of guys sew, so just put it out there!

Hey dad's check out the awesome drawstring bags that I made for my daughter and a friends son who is going to WDW with us in May! I wanted a bag their size (they are 5) for the parks, but couldn't find what I was looking for. After some thought and a few how to Youtube videos, I made a stop at the craft store and broke out the wife's sewing machine. Here's what happened!

That is better quality work than my wife can do. How much do you charge, I need the Disdad's logo on a few golf shirts? :confused3

:rotfl:
I made the bags, not the patches on the front. I just sewed them on. How ever we could find a place that can make patches and then sew them onto anything.:thumbsup2

Congratulations Dave and Tammy!!!! :cool1::banana:

I've come up with the T-shirt design that I'm going to try to order from vistaprint. The total came to $12.59 including uploading the graphic and 7 day shipping. Not bad! I decided to go with one-sided to save some money.

Another awesome website is instructables.com. Has everything you ever wanted to make at home and more. I built an Ironman Arc Reactor for my son for Halloween one year and posted the how to step by step on there. Great website.

Nice job. No need for an internal monologue. I think we all recognize quality craftsmanship. Anyone that mocks is just jealous. Besides sewing uses needles and needles are like little swords.

My daughter just saw the picture of bag on my laptop and she exclaimed "Wow, thats nice, i wanna get one of those bags". So its 5 year old approved too.:thumbsup2

Hey, hey now there Mark... you're getting a little bit of a potty mouth yourself now. Watch it. I think you meant to say the Budget Boards, yeah, that's it.

I thought that language is reserved for the news and rumors board for the monthly posting of "Just got back and a bus driver told us........."

No ribbing from me... those are very cool. Nice job. :thumbsup2

I learned how to sew myself (my mother has been a professional tailor all of her adult life), and her mother was as well. I have never done anything quite like those - but hey, nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about it my book.

Besides sewing uses needles and needles are like little swords.

What a cool analogy... I'll have to share that with my sons as I keep trying to teach them how to sew their OWN patches on their OWN Boy Scout uniforms.

I get the average piece it just seems very impressive. After 3 years even a 250 post day doesn't do much to your average post count, though. That is an awful lot of knowledge to pass on.

That... or just an awful lot of one-liner responses here and there.

Very impressive! Real men can sew. I broke out the sewing kit myself tonight to fix a stuffed animal and a pair of pants

Great job, Garry!

We could easily get you to 150 or 200 this way you know...
Yeah but for some reason I think people might be bothered by 10 pages of one word posts. I really felt like I should stop after you posted "yep" but I was laughing so hard I couldn't let it go.

ok... we may tease you a bit... but deep down, we are all a little jealous.

And if they are? You're with me. I don't care if they get upset with me for running up the page count. It's not like I haven't done THAT before... pirate:

Besides, I'm just sitting here tonight in front of my laptop checking the DIS, working on Scout Summer Camp stuff, while also trying to reconfigure our kids' computer, listening to the news in the background, and FB messaging back and forth with my cousin in CA getting an update on my grandmother.

I need to get in on this:cool1: I need all the help I can get from the master to get my post count up.:worship:
