I went to visit my Grandmother in ICU this morning, I'm glad I did, dhe has since passed

I am very sad but not mad, she was 90 and lived a full active life, I'm sure my Grandparents have been reunited.

I don't know how I'm going to explain it to my son, or if he will even understand

This can also be entertaining in the right setting. Say, if the baby belongs to first-time parents who previously criticized your parenting skills before having a child of their own. Not that this has ever happened before.

I'm glad that I'm not the only person whose mind immediately went to bacon when I read the "make everything better comment". Doofensmirtz could make an amazing universal-better-inator with the right combination of bacon and explosions.

I thought we had a bacon man law along those lines, but I don't know if it ever made it to the first page.

This is SO VERY TRUE!!!!! Reminds me now of a time way back when my eldest was a tike, and my BIL, (who fits your description almost to a T except that he still has no children of his own), while sitting in our living room with my son on his lap, and after having just given off another one of his fun remarks about something, I don't recall exactly what, was gifted with a nice juicy "present", exploding beyond my son's pants, and directly out and on to my BIL's pants. Needless to say - he was not happy, but it was very, very funny.

All right Dis Dads I am coming here for help. I have planned a surprise trip for my daughter (5) and myself for the end of June. Booked CBR but not sure that is the best moderate choice for single parent with daughter in tow. Size wise will it be too much? Food selection?

We stayed at CSR in December and really liked everything about it except the bus service. Am I crazy for trying something different or is there a better moderate resort for a daddy/daughter trip?

I can honestly say after my first trip there, if I wouldnt of found the disboards I would be 90% sure I wouldnt go back. I read on here how to plan for the trip, how to plan for meals, how to plan your day in the parks, and a lot of little fun extras. Im sure if I wouldnt of read them that there is very little chance I wouldnt have 5 successful, fun trips under my belt and a 6th trip coming up that will top all those before it.

Well said! I found the DIS when planning for my first trip back to the World with all three of us. Still learning new stuff every day, too. Love the DIS.... and especially the DDC

now for the bad news, good friends of ours, i grew up with her and dated her sister in high school, son, whos 11, just found out he has thyroid cancer. they took him to philly today for alot more test. his oldest sisiter dances with my daughter. his name is john. if you can put him on your list, the little man could use it.
