Hey Aaron wasnt there a newish website (disdads.com) where they put up some sort of podcast crap (disdads.com) and had some good WDW and non WDW discussion (disdads.com) that you are some how affiliated with? Just curious.

(disdads.com)

Did you say disdads.com? I think I will try to take a look at that website.! It was disdads.com without the WWW in front of it? By just typing "disdads.com" in my web browser and I will get cool trip reports and hundreds of combined years of experience at my fingertips? Hmmmm I hope I get it right.. It's disdads.com? Right?:rotfl2:

I don't know what happened but on my first few posts my trip counter did not show up. You guys are wild one day and so many pages.
Hope all is well out there.

Hey I am not going to be able to make the draft. I can set it up to Auto Draft right?

I've noticed a slight increase in muscle cramps. But that I had those before the statin meds, and it is probably due to my low carb diet that I try to stick to (unless I'm in Disney! :cool1:). Anyway, my CPK (which tracks muscle breakdown) has been normal, so I'm not worried. The only other major thing to worry about is liver enzyme elevation, but fortunately, I've had none of that. I actually pushed my Dr. to put me on them (last year), since I have such a strong family history of heart disease.

I have that same type of history on one side of my family.

That's because Dave doesn't know how to multi-post! :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

i just learned about a year ago how to multi quote.:lmao: i mess that up to. my quotes show up in the middle of the thing.:lmao: i havnt fiqured out yet how to just pull out a line or a word from someones post and quote just that part. i dont go on disdad.com to much because i have a hard time getting around that site.:lmao: we need a disdads for dummies.:lmao: pictures, i need pictures to click on!!!:lmao:poor stopher walked me through the ticker website. briana showed me how to load pics. (which i had to write down so i remember how to do it).

We've been throught he same med testing cycle, on a much more compressed time frame. We started on a time-release stimulant, which worked, but the side-effect were overwhelming. So we switched to a time-released non-stimulant, which was OK, but he couldn't handle the full maintenance dose (he slept constantly and had no affect) and the insurance company didn't like the continuing prescription of the intro dose of the non-stimulant med (and they didn't like paying for the time release version, which isn't yet available as a generic). We went through a couple more tweaks and he's now doing very well on generic guanfacine (the trick is making sure that he gets his doses as close to exactly 12 hours apart as possible).

Glad to hear that he is doing well with it. Our son is autistic and we are trying to figure out if we should put him on medication. On a good note, after 18 months of fighting with the insurance company, they finally agreed to pay for his therapies!!! :thumbsup2

That's great news! :cool1::yay::cool1:
I have a friend at work who's in the midst of the same battle with their insurance company, which is willing to pay for just enough therapy sessions to interrupt their son's usual routine, but not enough to actually help him. :mad:

OH YEAH! OWNAGE.

I finally found the new home. Anyone start taking odds on ...

Yes... Yes I did...
A trademark of nearly all cruses is the opportunity to eat yourself into oblivion. :rotfl:

I am nervous about our upcoming dream cruise because of exactly that. My frugal desire to get the most for my money will be competing directly with my desire to not be round. And this time frugality has bacon and ice cream on its side.

Congrats. its always nice to hear about victories like this.

Holy Schnikes!!! This is ridiculous. I guess I can't get busy at work like yesterday or leave early like today if I plan to keep up with you guys.

Don't forget to take you picture and post it on the DIS DADS facebook page!!!!!!! :surfweb:

Sorry Tim - was at a Scouting function this evening, and forgot to take my camera along, though I had every intention of doing so. Now I'm dressed for bed, and it's just not gonna happen. Next time though.

So tonight I went to our district's annual recognition dinner (Scouting) - a place where lots of different people are recognized for various things. This year we had three honorees from our Troop who were recognized for some great stuff. The two that impressed me the most though, were one individual was recognized for 30 years of service to Scouting as an adult leader. That's very impressive.

BUT...

the even more impressive one, was one individual was recognized for 50 years of service to Scouting as an adult leader! That is so very cool, and so very amazing. Joe is such a cool guy. And such an example for our young men to learn from. He started as an adult leader when he was 35, and here he is today all these years later still active. His son, and grandsons both finished the program many years ago - but he just kept right on going. His wife was active as a leader too for many years til she started to suffer from various physical and mental ailments, and finally died 2 years ago. But there's Joe - still plugging away. Going to Summer Camp each year, and just having a BALL. Such a great example. I only hope that I can continue to be an example to young people if and when I reach my 80's too. But not only is he an example - the boys seek him out! They love to hear him talk about his adventures. A few nights ago he was recognized in our Troop meeting - and several of the Scouts stood up and said, "Mr. Scott is a beast!" Such a cool term of endearment from one generation to another. :)

If you walk around MK all day how many miles do you think you walk? :confused3

I think we got in about 10 or so if I remember correctly. We really got after it though, and that was just in park.

:rotfl:
I took out the extended warranty. 100 pages or 10 days which ever comes first.:lmao: I'd think that a disdad's chat room would extend the life of this thread, but that's just speculation. :rotfl2:
