Squeaker saw the "hitting the computer with a hammer" avatar and asked about it. When I explained that it was him, he was kind of offended. So we searched through the other options available, and he chose to be the paw print (he's a Blue's Clues fan). His second choice was to be the group hug. :goodvibes

Now it makes perfect sense (cool story, by the way). I didn’t think of “Blues Clues”, but then again, It has been years and years and years since my DS was watching that show (and he was completely hooked on it at the time). One more bit of early childhood memories buried beneath the ruble left in the wake of X-Box, texting and peer pressure. :sad2:

I just heard that this weekend is ESPN the weekend. I wonder how many NFL players will be down there with all of the free time they are going to have..:confused3

LOVE those Mickey head ice cream bars. I would say 80% of my snack credits are spent on those things!

Sweet! Page ownage!

My daughters don't remember their last trip and they have both informed me that the first thing we are going to do is get a Mickey ice cream bar!!

Don, you might need to start getting the DIS Dad VIII thread ready!

I go away from my desk for 2 hours, come back and there are 2 more pages to read through. :confused3

The best snack at WDW? Whatever is in my hand at any given moment!:thumbsup2
I'll echo Dole Whips, but I'm also a sucker for those Rice Krispie (sorry, Krisped Rice) Treats with the chocolate on top.

The Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches are delicious, too, but Dole Whips are the champ! :woohoo:

When we were down for Food and Wine, I went into the new Karamel Küche in the Germany Pavilion. I tried the caramel popcorn. For the rest of the trip, I continued trying the caramel popcorn. It is to Cracker Jacks as the filet at Le Cellier is to beef jerky. :thumbsup2

I was reading this on my phone (hey when the threads are growing this fast you've got to work to keep up) and I thought that said Karamel Kimchi. I'd have to be pretty hungry to find that tasty.

Only snack not mentioned that I enjoy are the frappichino-ish drinks in WS. I think they are in front of the Colonial Pavilion.

i have to admit, if you stuck one of them m.m ice cream sandwiches and a dole whip under my nose, id take the ice cream sand. i just have a hard time walking by those things.:lmao: that must explain the 298 cholesterol!:lmao:

I think Squeaker was kind of insulted.
When I first chose that as his "avatar", he had undiagnosed and untreated ADHD. I'm still amazed that we survived our Disney trip with him in that state.

We started the diagnosis and treatment process as soon as we got back, and his behavior has improved 500% since back then. So I think he just wanted a little credit for his progress, and I was happy to give it to him. :woohoo:

We ran into the same problem with the ADHD at disney. There was one point at EPCOT that he through such a fit that security stopped us to make sure we were not kidnapping him.

He has been on medication for the past five years and has been doing great. Awesome grades in school and just a very pleasant kid. We have been very keen on keeping an eye on his behavior to make sure that he medications levels are correct in both directions. I do not want him losing concentration in school and begin to struggle but at the same time I do not want him to be a Zombie. (that is the last thing that I need, a brain eater in my house). He has been doing good lately. We have him on a new medicatino that is not a stimulant. It has increased his eating and has made him more active while still maintaining great grades in school. I hope that within the next couple years he can get off them all together.

Tronorails - love the name. I am guessing it will be gone when I get there in May.

We've been throught he same med testing cycle, on a much more compressed time frame. We started on a time-release stimulant, which worked, but the side-effect were overwhelming. So we switched to a time-released non-stimulant, which was OK, but he couldn't handle the full maintenance dose (he slept constantly and had no affect) and the insurance company didn't like the continuing prescription of the intro dose of the non-stimulant med (and they didn't like paying for the time release version, which isn't yet available as a generic). We went through a couple more tweaks and he's now doing very well on generic guanfacine (the trick is making sure that he gets his doses as close to exactly 12 hours apart as possible).
