You guys did beat us this year and I think that the UK/UNC series has been a good rivalry in the last several years. The only time I will ever cheer for UNC is when they play Douche......I mean Duke.

Love the rivalry. It's usually a pretty good game. My aunt/uncle/cousins live in Independence, Ky., and are big UK fans, so we enjoy the banter back and forth.

I just found the thread so I thought I would say hello. I'm currently sitting at my desk during lunch wearing a Tigger watch, reading the disboards, and listening to a twenty three minute recording of a ride through the classic Epcot attraction Horizon's. I have a lovely wife, three kids ages 15, 13, and 11, and a 4 year old pug that actually acts and smells more like an 80 year old man. Does that qualify me to be a DIS Dad???

I live in the suburbs of Detroit and don't get to the world as much as I would like. I always seeming to be planning a trip that has no dates attached. Anybody else do that?

Morning! Topic of the Day: Alone Time (heads out of the gutters, boys).
I love my DW more than I can say. And my 3 boys and baby girl really are amazing. However, once in a while, am I wrong for taking an evening away from all of them?

Not at all. I get to travel in-state (not great WDW trips like Stopher) and get several nights away. I do really miss my girls, but it is nice to escape from naked Barbie dolls.

Any straight razor users? Looking for suggestions on a good razor, shaving soap, brush, and lotion.

I use the Gillette Sensor Excel. It has the 3 blades. My dad taught me on the Bic disposable razors (cruel joke) and I knicked myself all the time. After I left home and tried a new razor (yes, it was because I had a free coupon), I have used the same one style now for 15 years. They have the disposable blade refills, and I usually only knick myself if I wait too long to replace it. I wear the moustache/ goatee, and it does real well around the edges.

Hey guys just running through all the post boy did I miss alote...I see all the post about snow...yeah we are getting hit pretty hard around these parts bad....I do not know if anyone has plans for this weekend...I have a good idea for a Dis dads meeting....It is the Wings game this weekend and it is guys night out $10 tickets..http://www.wingslax.com/article/72797 there is a fee...but you can pay only ten at the window if you go....I do not know if anyone ever been to a game or not but it is pretty awesome...they jam to rock the whole time and a few fights here and there but is a very cool experience,,,so if anyone wants to go want to pick up some tickets or meet me there PM me thank you...

well poop on me.....lots has changed since the last update dads. Still busy around here, but the news isn't so good anymore. Not sure if anyone follows politics at all, but all that budget talk has resulted in a hiring freeze and DW is caught in the middle. Just our luck, the one light at the end of this long and dark tunnel was turned out (having visions of the old Mr. Toads Wild Ride with the train coming at you....wait, did I just date myself?). Anyhow, we really aren't sure what this means in the long run, for now we are in a holding pattern. From what we've read this can go either way, there is some sort of deadline for approving the budget set for March 4th and I guess everything pivots on that date. However, we are unclear if how this freeze will affect our plans, she was already given an offer and her background check had already started. We don't know if the freeze affects those already in process as well as any new applicants.

Now, in an attempt to make lemonade, we decided that if we indeed are stuck here, we're buying annual passes..........

There is some good news, but I'm reluctant to share it until it's finalized since the last time I did that it got taken away.......

I hope that this turns around in your favor oXar and that the good news stays good.

Eh... don't care much for UK to be honest. Especially after they hired Calipari. Not much into UNC either, but I guess I agree with everybody else on my hatred of Duke. I went to the Final Four last year and was pretty excited about it. I hoped Butler would win the thing, but as long as anybody but Duke won, I'd be happy.

Oh well, at least it wasn't IU.

DONT MAKE ME TALK TO YOUR WIFE AGAIN. cant make it this weekend birds, but ive been wanting to go to a wings game for awhile to check it out. we went to a few of my nephews games a few years ago when he was in high school and they were pretty good. my nephew in high school was 6ft 8in. 295 lbs, now he put on more weight but he was a big kid.glad to see you stopped in again, dont be a stranger. now that the flyers and phillies are coming up, you may have something to cheer about.

Hey guys. I had a great time with Christian & his family last night while in MI. Pic to come soon.

So we were talking, plotting, etc, as he was trying to use me to help convince Margie they need to get back down to WDW to use their APs again before they expire in March. We kept it up all night. So a little bit ago he calls to say "thanks" & "it worked". She took time off at work, he bought plane tickets and they fly down TONIGHT! and come back Monday night.

Very cool for them! Now to try and get the same thing to work on my own wife...nah. if I hadn't just been there maybe.

Oh, and of course when I told Margie we'd be down in early April... they both said that they would probably "need" a trip in April too. it's such fun plotting with friends!
