Hope you have a great trip!

Hey dads.

I'm back in Miami after 24 hours or so in the WDW area. If you're on Facebook you can check out some of my pics. I'll do a mini TR on here when I get back but the short version is I did Saturday afternoon / evening and Sunday morning with a 0.00 budget. It was fun trying to find ways to get a fixwithout spending money.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and Happy Martin Luther King Day tomorrow for those dads in the US.

Depending on your current mood: either "Welcome Back!" or "Sorry you had to come back:)"

Thanks for posting the pics, all it took was showing DW your pic from Kindani to get her into planning mode.:)

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is John and I am from Oklahoma. Our first WDW trip was in May of 2009 when my first DS was 9 months old. My wife and I just had our second DS (January 5th) and am thinking about going back this fall with some of my co-workers families.

Welcome! And congrats on the newborn! Hello sleepless nights! :lmao: You are member # 553! :thumbsup2

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Yep. Getting to that "hard to sleep" stage.

One right back at you. Looking forward to seeing you.

Oh, have a question. We're flying down carry on only, and we usually take our 32 ounce water bottles that we fill before we go into the parks. Will they let us carry them empty through security??? I'm saying they won't, but DW says they will.

oh ya, i have the same problem. i usualy start not sleeping when i hit one week out.:lmao: after 26 years, dw still thinks im nuts that i cant sleep before we go.:lmao:

Ok Dads...I need help/advice....As some of you know that we are Hilton Grand Vacation Club members and usually stay off site at one of the resorts nearby..My first question is are DVC properties RCI compatable? If so...has anyone ever tackled the process of making the RCI reservations with a Disney Property? Are you still able to take advantage of EMH even if your not a DVC owner? Do the condos have a washer and dryer in them??? We are thinking of going the second week of AQugust...have I waited too late to get something??? Whast are my best bets/???

stopher hit the nail on the head.:thumbsup2 i have a friend that belongs to the sheritan time share program. they are members of rci also, he has traded a few times into the boardwalk villas and he never had a problem. he had to pay his fees that go with his time share and booking fees, but he was able to get in with one phone call. you tube steve has some good video tours of the resorts.as far as availability, dvc members can book there home resort at the 11 month mark and 7 months at a non home resort. pending on which resort your looking at, you may still have availablity.

Welcome!

Mike, That would be fun! We might be able to do that!

We'll see if we get any interest! Our son should be "crested" within the next week or so! :cool1:

I can't wait till Winter is done:eek: Been sick the last couple days, with some kind of kick butt flu (Chuck Norris strain)

I look outside and for almost a month it looks the same, Snow:scared1:, and along the road it's starting to get that ever attactive, gray-black tint.

Seems like the milk & bread companies are paying for the weather forcasts, all they have to do is mention snow, and we are as busy as a Holiday:scared1:

Since cabin fever drives my nuts, besides a WDW trip for August, I also have a week in Williamsburg VA in the works for July:woohoo:

I think if you ever don't have the "can't sleep" phase of a Disney Vacation, THAT'S when you should start to worry.

:lmao::lmao: All references to Chuck Norris get a :lmao: from me

That's the sort of conspiracy that just might be true...

I looked at Williamsburg for a family vacation for us for August. I think it's JUST too far (like 17 hrs by car), and the kids (8,6,4,1) are JUST too young to spend a week there...i think:confused3

Gentlemen (and as always the term is used loosely), I have either reaffirmed my membership in the DIS Dad's club or got myself a step closer to losing my man card. I got home from work this evening and wanted to watch a movie so I looked through the rather extensive dvd collection we have and picked one up that I haven't seen in several years and popped it in without any input from anyone else in the house... Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. My wife laughed at me... I figured you guys would understand, or if not, you'd think it is pretty darn funny too.:rotfl2:

In my defense I was really in the mood for some Peter Pan, but I was a slacker and didn't get the DVD when it left the vault and my parents have my VHS.

Sorry. I don't see the problem. :rotfl2:

I'm not sure I understand what your problem is, exactly. :confused3
