Well Dads, it's been a while...Hope everyones holidays went well......
have popped on and off but haven't posted, sorry fellas
but on a brighter note....getting ready for a 7 night 8 day trip to our favorite place.....we'll be staying @ the boardwalk from 1/20 thru 1/27...I saw that a few of you may be around...if anyone wants to get together for a meet up, let me know....I'll try to check in before we leave..
Hey dads.
I'm back in Miami after 24 hours or so in the WDW area. If you're on Facebook you can check out some of my pics. I'll do a mini TR on here when I get back but the short version is I did Saturday afternoon / evening and Sunday morning with a 0.00 budget. It was fun trying to find ways to get a fixwithout spending money.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and Happy Martin Luther King Day tomorrow for those dads in the US.
Hey Dads. Anyone heading down in early Feb?
I'll be there from the 6th through the 9th if anyone wants to meet up.
Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is John and I am from Oklahoma. Our first WDW trip was in May of 2009 when my first DS was 9 months old. My wife and I just had our second DS (January 5th) and am thinking about going back this fall with some of my co-workers families.
CRUD!
We leave the World on the 6th.
Yep. Getting to that "hard to sleep" stage.
One right back at you. Looking forward to seeing you.
Oh, have a question. We're flying down carry on only, and we usually take our 32 ounce water bottles that we fill before we go into the parks. Will they let us carry them empty through security??? I'm saying they won't, but DW says they will.
Ok Dads...I need help/advice....As some of you know that we are Hilton Grand Vacation Club members and usually stay off site at one of the resorts nearby..My first question is are DVC properties RCI compatable? If so...has anyone ever tackled the process of making the RCI reservations with a Disney Property? Are you still able to take advantage of EMH even if your not a DVC owner? Do the condos have a washer and dryer in them??? We are thinking of going the second week of AQugust...have I waited too late to get something??? Whast are my best bets/???

Mike, That would be fun! We might be able to do that!
I think if you ever don't have the "can't sleep" phase of a Disney Vacation, THAT'S when you should start to worry.oh ya, i have the same problem. i usualy start not sleeping when i hit one week out.after 26 years, dw still thinks im nuts that i cant sleep before we go.

I can't wait till Winter is doneBeen sick the last couple days, with some kind of kick butt flu (Chuck Norris strain)

That's the sort of conspiracy that just might be true...Seems like the milk & bread companies are paying for the weather forcasts, all they have to do is mention snow, and we are as busy as a Holiday![]()
I looked at Williamsburg for a family vacation for us for August. I think it's JUST too far (like 17 hrs by car), and the kids (8,6,4,1) are JUST too young to spend a week there...i thinkSince cabin fever drives my nuts, besides a WDW trip for August, I also have a week in Williamsburg VA in the works for July![]()
Gentlemen (and as always the term is used loosely), I have either reaffirmed my membership in the DIS Dad's club or got myself a step closer to losing my man card. I got home from work this evening and wanted to watch a movie so I looked through the rather extensive dvd collection we have and picked one up that I haven't seen in several years and popped it in without any input from anyone else in the house... Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. My wife laughed at me... I figured you guys would understand, or if not, you'd think it is pretty darn funny too.
In my defense I was really in the mood for some Peter Pan, but I was a slacker and didn't get the DVD when it left the vault and my parents have my VHS.
