Ugh.
Rough evening with the kids. Awful behavior from both of them, pretty much all evening. One thing after another. Brats killed my Disney buzz.

I think we had them both calmed down and reigned back in by bedtime (though I'm not sure about Squeaker - as I headed downstairs to the computer, I heard DW threatening that Kota the Dinosaur was being relocated permanently to the basement if he touched it again - he was supposed to be in bed sleeping). I really hope their attitudes turn around by tomorrow morning, otherwise this could be a loooooooooooooooong holiday weekend.

Squeaker has a Kota I wanted to get my son one but DW wouldn't let me. My little man is a wild one and trys to stay up as late as posible, seems that if his head hits the pillow he instantly falls asleep

It took a little sleuthing on our part. Luckily, she had the "KY" in her username, so we went through the Dis Dads state list that Steve started to find the guys in KY, then matched up the vacation dates in you siggies. That should qualify me for CSI or NCIS, right Fed?

Ugh...Even if the Universal Tickets were free I have to think it over. Depending on when you're down there, I'd head over to Fort Wilderness. Wander around there checking out how everyone had their campsites decorated for Halloween.


I haven't seen the movie, so I had to Wikipedia it since y'all were talking about it so much. Let's just say I'm quite glad I never saw it.

(By the way - was that the correct usage of "y'all"? Being from up north, it's hard to tell exactly where in the sentence it's supposed to go )

Speaking of Universal at Halloween, way back when I went to Halloween Horror Nights with DW. As we were walking in, there was a full Shift of Orlando PD Officers flanking the entrance. I knew the shift commander and asked him if they "were expecting trouble". He said, when you get in, call me and you tell me. It was fun, but A LOT of Alcohol flowing, so I could see where there could be concerns.

Woo hoo! Disney mail came today.
I know it's nothing really important, but the arrival of the WDW luggage tags make the trip feet much more imminent!!

Rock Hill!!! That’s the largest city down here in my little ‘ol county (I went to the “other” school in town and RHHS was our arch nemesis way back when). They’re one of the tougher HS ball teams down this way. When I first read the post, I thought: “Wait a minute, they beat our kids by eight points last night and why the heck would you even consider making that drive anyway”. Followed immediately by “What the heck am I thinking, he can’t be talking about the same school”. I certainly didn’t realize there was more then one Rock Hill. Live and learn. Well I hope your kids do well tonight. Our boys will have to regroup after a tough loss to the other Rock Hill High and try to get back into the win column next week.

were home!!!! well after going through 9 pages lets see, welcome, new babies,carreers,dads,vacations!!!! gotta see the crab races on you tube!!! and happy 32nd birthday barrrrryyy!!!(32?, im old enough to have driven your mom to the hosp. to have you.) we got to jefferson in center city philly at 6:30 am. she had an mri than they came in and put this big metal ring around her head. when i say they bolted it to her head, i mean they bolted to her had!!! i have pics on my cell phone. than they locked the ring down to the cat scan table and she had a cat scan. than we waited, it was about 9ish by now. there were 3 doctors, head of nero, head of radiation and a (i cant even spell it) a phisisist. they came in the room at 3 pm and said we are ready to go if she was. the nurse took us to see the machine earlier in the day. i went in with her to get set up, what a proccess. all of a sudden the lights went out and theres lasers came shooting out of the walls. what the flip is this. they were setting her up in the machine so the beams hit the tumor and nothing else. it took all of 20 min. and it was over. she felt fine, she walked out of the hosp. arcross the street to the other hosp. and to the van. she talk to family and friends most of the way out of philly. it was about 2 hoiurs into our trip and when i paid the toll from the turnpike she said pull over im goona throw up. i did as i was told. she threw up on a light pole at a gas station.(almost like our days in school!) got back in the car and said atleast my head dont hurt anymore. she came home, slept for about 2 hours and got up and has been her shelf like nothing happened all day!!! she goes back in the day before we leave for wdw in nov. for an mri and the day after we get back, she goes to the dr. to make sure they got it. the drs. and nurses and staff at jefferson were great as usual. she has follow ups in a few weeks with a few drs. but my inlaws are going to take her for those. my mother in law wants to go on diamond row, next to hosp. how nice. she can still see fine out of her good eye so, so far so good. thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!!!!!

Yep! I be a Trojan. You’ve certainly proved you Sandlapper Credentials by picking up on that obscure little tid-bit. Of course these days I live north of the river and my DS is going to the “Other School” in this section of the county (although this one just opened up in 2007, so you might not be as familiar with it). In fact, I’m heading up to the campus in just a minute to help finish up the building and painting of some of the props for this years marching competition. Go Falcons!

Well, I did grow up in Mount Pleasant (Wando High) and didn't leave until 2000when I went from local to Fed...DW went to Grad School at Winthrop...

Not familiar with the new school...it was always Rock Hill and Northwestern.

Northwestern has a pretty good soccer program, though back when I was coming up, it was just Wando and Irmo....times have changed

Hey, Dave... I was just looking at your signature and when I saw the one for Cont MK view it reminded me... we never got to see the surprise picture of DW when you surprised her (Original post, Picture taken here) with your first MK view stay. You still got that?

The idea behind this, for any who don't know, is to "pay it forward" by sending someone else's child(ren) a postcard then they would do the same for someone else. Sorry if this has been covered here (CRUD!) So I thought I might give my fellow DIS Dad's first crack at this. I will be leaving for WDW Sept. 8th and would attempt to get a card sent out the 9th or 10th. From what I understand mail is a little slow leaving the park so make sure there is enough time for it to get to you before scheduled departure if you have a trip coming up. First PM with names, address and preferred character is a winner!

its of the top of her head. i got about 14 of that trips pics framed and they are hanging in our dining room. we planned out our next trips from 2012 on just last weekend. after what you see in my sig. we are going the last two weeks of sept 2012 at the boardwalk,(boardwalk view) than, starting 2013, we will be going every january for 8 nights and than every september for 10 nights. the 8 night trips will be in studios and the 10 night trips will be 1 bedrooms. dw and i will maintain our anual pass' and if dd can go, well just get her a ticket for that trip. i have a feeling its just going to be the two of us after june of 2011. dd will have school and work etc... just another sign of getting old. dw just told me while we were in philly on thursday that we are going to have to start taking two days to drive home, which is fine, shes not as comfortable driving on 95 as she use to be. its hard for her because of being blind in one eye and multi lane highways, theres alot to watch for. but, nice memory!! i cant believ you remembered that.

i have to get a scanner, we were looking at our honeymoon pics on sat. night. ok, i had blue short gym shorts on, white sox that came up to my knees with two red stripes at the the top, a just married t-shirt and a mustache!!!! (it was 1985) oh, and white nike sneakers with a red swoosh on them. we both were about half the size we are now!! we went to magic kingdom, epcot and sea world. (there was no animal kingdom,mgm, or universal.) i cant believe i went out in public looking like that.

So I'm storming around the compound this morning Ranting about something or other (short timer and the heat are getting to me), when I walk into the security team office space and find them all in the back watching a movie (on their big flatscreen LCD TV--we have a bigscreen too, but not as nice)....

Find out it's some movie called "Kick ***"...well, that sets me off about them sitting around watching a kids movie while there's work to be done (Doggone E4 Mafia)...

Just about the time I go full retard on them this purple haired chick starts just cutting loose with a Xenon Strobe Light Equipped pistol....just wasting bad guys left and right...

So I spent the next 45 minutes watching the rest of the stupid movie and got further behind on what I was supposed to be doing

If your kids ask to see this "Super Hero" movie...be advised, this is NOT a kids movie---by any stretch of the imagination.
