Why haven't I discovered this thread before? Thanks to the podcast this week. I'm a Disney Dad and that's just a fact. Glad to see there are others out there. And I'm happy to join the club.

welcome....sorry have not been on for a while...but it looks like the boards have been jumping...with all the gay stuff ppl are crazy..where do you get gay with like disney...I have 8 KIDS AND I LOVE DISNEY...GO BIRDS..look for me on tv..I am taking my son to his first birds game..he is my lucky charm...we have been going to the phils games the past few weeks and we do not lose when he is there.

OK I missed the whole gay straight thing in regards to DisDads. But to me it just doesn't matter. Your a good Dad if you you love your kids and want to spend time with them straight or gay.
Yes I get some teasing but who do they come to when they need help planning their Disney trips? Disney became important in my life very early (first trip 1974) it helped me escape stuff back at home that I won't bore you with. So they can have a good time at my expense( its all good natured) but when I arrive on property I'm 10 yrs old and at peace with the world, it is truely my Laughing Place!

NO NO NO I stayed in the same state I am a Steelers fan.However I do cheer on the Eagles as long as they Are not playing the Steelers.

Hey guys it seems like we are getting quite a few Dads from the tri-state area. I dont know if you are are Phillies fans or not, but what I was thinki9ng is maybe we could have a little meet and greet at a ballgame one night.We could pick a night and get together for a Phillies game.We could get the cheap seats who cares we would be there mainly to meet each other.What are your thoughts??????? Any takers I could purchase the tickects and we could meet at the gates.

OK went and read back and get what the podcast was about and I can get where he was coming from but as far Disney goes I'm out of the closet LOL!
Just helped a fellow co-worker save alot of money on his Disney vacation this Tuesday clued him into the free Dining pkg so I got him into AKL Savannah View with free dining and Tickets for less money than AKL standard view with just tickets was going cost him. It amazes me how many people go and pay rack rates.

I don't think there are actually that many guys from PA, it's just that all the posts from Dvczefrs trying to get ownage give the appearance that there are a ton

Haven't posted on this thread in a while and this week's podcast reminded me to check in!

Hope everyone is well. DW and two DD's and I are looking forward to a two week trip beginning in two weeks

This upcoming trip will mark the first time in over a decade that we aren't staying on property We got a really great deal on a 3 bedroom condo in Windsor Hills (via Florida Sun Vacation Homes) and thought we'd give it a shot. Anyone have experience in this complex? Thoughts or opinions are welcome! If we decide that it's just not magical enough, I promised DW that we could book next year's trip (in a DVC unit) before we check out of Windsor Hills

I pay rack rates... well, I book my vacation through WDW and not a travel agent or allears. OOPS. But, that's what happens when the DW wants to go to the world the week between Christmas & New Years.

On the "dad" part of the DISDAD's thread. I'm taking that to also mean "homeowner" for most. And, can I just say how much I hate being a homeowner? I got home from a mostly pleasant day at work to find water in the basement from the rain. And more rain is in the forcast for tonight. I'm spending Saturday morning with a bucket and a sham-wow I think.

And for the record. Straight, married, two kids. No goofy trailer hitch or tinker belle sticker on car. I just enjoy spending time with my family somewhere where I can escape the everyday hassles of the real world. That place for me is WDW.

I just checked, a little over 14 minutes left in the game and Marshall leads WVU 24-6. Looks like GOHEARD1028 is going to get to see Marshall win. Hopefully they wont have an epic meltdown and blow the lead.

Well, 0415 comes early so I'm off to bed. FED, I'll have to disagree about the desk gig. 12 years of rotating shifts, and working every other weekend, I'll gladly take a desk gig for a couple of years.

Well I see some of you heard the podcast, It is awesome that we were mentioned on it, alot of plus positives for the club I also see you most of you had the same reaction I did with the whole straight/gay thing Out of 5 Dis Dad threads now, I don't think the issue has even been talked about, and really doesn't have anything to do with the club I can see there point in bringing it up, but IMO it was talked about alittle too much, when the focus should of been on our thread

Went to the Philly Zoo today, It is so relaxing just watching the animals just doing whatever they want, not caring what's going on (wish real life was like that)

Anyway since I'm a Zoo member pass holder, if I post that I will be going to a zoo that you live close to, let me know, at Philly I can get in a extra 2 adults & 1 child on the pass I have (savings of $48), we also go to Brandywine in Del (pretty sure this one was free), & Baltimore zoo (50% off)

Next year we might be hitting Ohio (not sure if it's a freebie or 50% off, I'll have to check it out)

Since I have the membership, I like to use it, and if I can get a Dis Dad family in that's awesome (saves you some bucks & I get my monies worth)
