DIS Dads The DIS Dad's Club IX - The Fastest Moving Thread Around

Any Chicago area dads... I'll be in the area from 4/27-5/4. Will be staying out around Schaumburg.

I already checked and the Cubs are not in town...

Im about an hour a way. There is also a Disney store at Woodfield. Worked there for a while. may end up down there that week to help my DM.

Ok, let me elaborate, I got a verbal offer and was told that a proposal, including start date (either Mid-May or Early June) in the next week or so.

Salary is exactly where I was before losing my old job back in June.

We are extremely excited, but are holding back on full on celebrations until I have the written offer in hand, that and DW's boss approves her transfer to Orlando.

DW decided to scrap the Fed job in Indy due to concerns over future budgets. It just doesn't seem as secure as it once was.

So, I guess I may actually be taking on the role of DisDad Welcome Mat.

Mind you, while I should be looking into homes, I think I'll start by researching annual passes as well as planning our visits in a way as to not kill the magic by giving into temptation and going over board......

... but in seriousness, threads are only supposed to run til about 250 pages. And once it reaches that length (or something close to it) the moderators shut or close the thread. Something to do with server space I guess, but I'm not sure.

And of course - we just have so much fun, we blow through the pages pretty quickly.

I miss two days, because I needed to step away from the computer, and I miss the closing of VIII, the opening of IX, and we are already 44 pages in. Thank goodness, I am not going on vacation anytime soon.
