Alright guys, I need some advice from those of you that have done a Disney Cruise. We're looking at a 4 day, because I've heard the 3s are just too short. What I need assistance on is the room. We will probably be trading DVC points for the cruise, but we don't want to break the bank there, either. How much time do you really spend in the room? Is an inside stateroom good enough if all we would do is sleep there (2 adults, 2 kids - probably 5 and 7 or so at time of sailing)? Should we upgrade to a porthole or even an veranda?
Any advice or experience that you can share would be helpful!
well I have never done a Disney cruise but I am a cruise veteran( about 12 since married).Room choice is always a ify thing. What I mean by that is ,it is all in your personal taste. All rooms on the ship are going to get you a great cruise. All rooms have pro and cons,as stated in another post interior rooms are cheaper, but the no window does mess with ya ( not being able to look out and see if dark, light rain etc).I for one will always do an exterior room with window ,or room with balcony.I love getting up in the morning and sitting on balcony with cup of coffee, evening just sitting on balcony taking in the fresh air, etcetera.I know these thing can be done on the upper decks in public area but to me its nice to have my own little private space. Now in your case you have to look at your personal taste and add the kids into the mix.would you feel comfortable have a balcony with the kids? I know I would have to think twice about it with my kids. Now as far as the exterior rooms with windows I think Disney ships only have portholes not full window like other cruise lines. But even though it is just a little light it is some.
I dont know if this helped or made it harder for you to chose. But I can say this even a 4 day cruise is to short. To me except for disney a cruise has got to be my number one Vacation
