Saw the posts about flag football and basketball and decided to check out the whole Upward thing. We see a lot of their stickers and stuff around here but never looked into it. I think I'll see if the DS7 would be interested in the flag football tomorrow since the first evaluation is this coming weekend. He did soccer for two seasons and tee-ball for three. We looked into Tae Kwon Do but the places around here are very pricey... close to a car payment each month. He's in Awana at church now but we've been looking for something team-oriented for him to do and this might fit the bill.

:lmao: id like to tell you it gets cheaper but it doesnt!! im up to 14,000 per year for dance for dd. she been doing that for 14 years. i have 11/2 years to go!:woohoo: than school.

OK! OK! it is a rental but I got to charge around for a week in it and it is one cool ride. picked it up at Avis at Orlando airport, on the ride down to the hotel in Coco beach I had to stretch her out a little. she is a real head snapper when the turbo kicks in :rotfl2: :rotfl2: 0 to OMG in nothing flat.

I thought about all the DISDads as I saw it. DW didn't tell me until I picked it up :worship: :worship:

:scared1: I see three zero$ behind that number! That much for one girl? I have two in dance (seven classes) and with the monthly fees and recital costumes, I don't think that it's even 1/4 of that per year.

my dd has 11 class's. 2 of them are solos and 2 of them are duets. then there are 6 competition class's and 1 recital only. she does 6 comps per year each comp. fee is around 500.00. plus costumes (100 each) if i had a nickle for every pair of tights, ballet shoes and pointe shoe i buy a year i could retire!!:lmao: we did learn our lesson, 2 years ago when her feet stopped growing we went to new yourk city a got her good tap shoes.(miller and ben)they were almost 400.00 but we were buying taps shoes every year and they dont have the same sound.

OK, honestly, how many dads looked at the tricked out van in the handicap spot as well?:sad2:

OK, here we go. I'm going to run the Expedition Everest 5k. In true DisDad fashion I decide to run my first 5k in Florida......in June:scared1:. Instead of stopping at a 5k, I decide to pick the one with an obstacle course and a scavenger hunt tacked onto the end of it, what the hell is wrong with me?

Has anyone here ever done this one? or any other Disney race?

Do Epcot world showcase , DTD, and Boardwalk at night when your son is sleeping in the stroller. Also you may have to deal with one of the most annoying things when traveling with a small child, people looking at you when the baby is crying, found the best thing to do is when someone shoots the eyes is look at them and say I guess your kid Never cryed, 8 out of 10 times it shuts them down. Good Luck! And have a Great Trip.

One of the things I like most about vacation at Disney with little ones is that you NEVER feel like the ONLY one with a crying kid!

:lmao: for us the crying kid part is over, now the family has to deal with the winey dad!!!! :lmao: we went into car. of prog. when dd was 19 mon. old. screamed her head off!!! the first time the seats stopped, i made a brake for it. there were sec. guards on me within 5 sec. once i opened the door. i had to leave, know one could hear the show.:lmao: that was the only time she realy yelled.:lmao:

I've been reading for awhile and thought this was a good place to start.

I've honeymooned at WDW (stayed at CBR) and have been back three times since over the last 12 years to take my son who is about 3 now. We did live in SoCal and visited DL/CA about 5 times a year in the 8 years we lived there. We even had annual passes one of the years. I started running 2 years ago and get back in to shape, just so I could do the Disney marathon.

I hope I've done enough to get into the Dad club.
