ok dads i need a few ideas here.looking at putting together a disney world scavenger hunt together for us and several other families to do during our trips to the world.it is looking like our trips will be at different times of the year,but thats ok we can see how we do and compare at later date.where i ask for your help is:have any of you guys done anything like this before? And if so can you give me some tips on setting it up.even if you have not done it before any help would be great.what i think i am looking for are some ideas of things to get or pictures of certain places ect.for example a picture with big al, golf ball from one of courses,refillable mug from a hotel,picture of lime green mickey with dis name on it, ect.i could sit here and come up with some good ones but need to have things on list to challenge my family as well,if i came up with all the items it would be to easy for me to obtain them.so looking to get some ideas from others to add to the list to help me out.

Who knows maybe this is something us dads can put together and incorporate into our trip.

Any and all ideas would be helpfull

some of our friends do an organized thing I think it's called mouse adventures :confused3:confused3 I'll see if they have any of the past lists or what ever.

The first thing that comes to mind is to put something together using the info that has been created on Your BEST WDW theme park secret!: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1712235

And if you send a PM to Dcanoli She has taken the time to put the info from the threads into a Word Document.

Awesome! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thank you for the advice on contacting Dcanoli I am on it ,sent her an email.Still would like any input from the Dads:thumbsup2

I'm headed down in early June for a "surprise" trip (the kids don't know). Has anyone tried the fishing at WDW? We're staying at the BWV. Do they do fishing there, or just at Bay Lake?

Thanks for your help!

Seriously, it was a good trip. The kids had a good time and so did I.

Glad you had fun! And sorry, the "beacon" is really just a glorified smoke detector, hence the 9-volt batteries. And you know how often we change the batteries in smoke detectors. :confused3

I've stayed across the lake at the Beach Club Villas a few times and have never seen anyone fishing in that lake or any signs advertising it. I think it's only on Bay Lake.

They do the fishing at a couple of different areas, but I'm not sure if that's one of them...I've done Bay Lake and the World Showcase Lake area (which was really really really really cool--and had bigger fish):thumbsup2:thumbsup2

The trips are very well done and the guides I've been with have been very good...very kid friendly (even though I've always been without kids--my son is only 2)...

If i was going to be in country, I'd take you to Toho, but I'll be sitting in sand again that time frame.

I have done the guided fishing trip twice, both times with my son on Bay Lake. He was 7 the first trip and 9 the second trip. We caught a lot of fish in the two hours, but the size was lacking. Take Feds advice and go to the World Showcase. As far as guides, I had a great one the first time and a lousy one the second time. That is kinda hit or miss. The second guy was not a really good guide. He must have thought he was the next coming of Kevin Van Dam. I got money that says if he would have needed to fish on any other lake in the Country he would be a very hungry guide. Must have been a real kick in the butt that my son had to tell him how to catch fish while fishing with bait. My son got so tired of him he said out loud "I am going to the back of the boat so this guy will leave me alone!":lmao: Funny thing is as soon as he went to theback of the boat and fished the way he was taught, he caught fish.

Next time I am going to get Fed to take us to Toho for some real Florida strain bass.
