Seriously though, we will probably only do the Disney AP for one year. There are so many other places we want to go to, so we wouldn't get our money's worth if we got a AP every year. We are going to attempt to make 2027 a year of Disney. We will probably do a couple of week long trips, and a few weekend trips. I will probably take a couple of solo trips.

Woot! Above freezing today. Yeah, 33 the high today. Break out those shorts. Clouds arrived today, thus making it not as cold overnight last night. But we will pay for it, as every day the rest of the week, drops that temp, until the high on Sunday is 19. Ugh.

Quick hello before work. Today is cloudy and cold but will at least be above freezing. We are supposed to have highs above freezing all week.

Dh has booked his first solo trip as a pass holder. I need to remind him to keep checking hotel rates, because they might go down. He is going in May after graduation. I would go with him, but I'm already taking 2 weeks off in June.

I just looked out the window and see snow flurries. I hope that's all we get.

Wonderful Wednesday to all.

We had another gorgeous winter full sunny day, and if it wasn’t for that cold feeling breeze, was nice feeling out. Again, at least a degree above freezing today. Though with a clear sky, down to 11 degrees overnight. But ugh, saying the low on Sunday is 4 degrees. And, going below freezing the highs until Tuesday next week. Ugh. Rest of this week, and starting next: 29, 29, 25, and 19 on Sunday. Brrr. Cold February weekend coming up.

But yay, saying snow chances right now at the end of next week. We leave soon to do job search and seeing if the town where older one wants to live, is really where he wants to be. Think we will go through towns around that one, to see if he likes or not those too. And hopefully, miss that snow if does do next week, by the time we come home. Looking forward to much warmer weather next week.

Ah, camel says he’s too cold to make an appearance, but always that reminder animal to say, get over this hump of a day feeling day, and fabulous Friday feeling then a day away.

Woot! Into February now, with Super Bowl Sunday this Sunday, and the week after is Sweetheart Sunday. Then we will be half way into February, our shortest month. No leap year either this year.


And already plotting and scheming, with hmm never been in July before. And maybe a September and December trip. With maybe a west coast visit still this Spring. Yay, glad to be that lady of leisure, now.

It's snowing again. Nothing is sticking though. Next week we are supposed to have a couple of days in the 50's. It will be nice to have some of this ice melt away.

That's one month I am happy to skip along with August. Mid November is the next planned trip for B's birthday. I would like to go sometime before that, but I doubt I will get the chance since we have a 2 week vacation planned for June.

I think I am going to spend most of the rest of today cross stitching. Dh put this cookie skillet in my Christmas stocking.

The pan is a 4 inch real cast iron skillet. I will never use it for cooking again, so I am thinking of putting a small cross stitch project inside of it.

Charade, we had light snowing starting around 6 pm tonight. Supposed to have been a snow squall, as said tonight those snowy squalls seen around the city on the evening news. Enough snow, to be annoying given how cold it felt as we went out to do a Target run after dinner.

Ugh, so cold lately, and local weather news said our temps will plummet later tonight until Tuesday, when high temp will finally above freezing. I know, we are in that coldest month in the calendar, February. Ugh. At least the Ides of March, start a weather changing month, where warmer days are sprinkled with cooler ones. And yes, we even had snow one Easter Day. But at least a day closer to the first day of Spring. And to the time change to day light saving time keeping.

Ooh almost time for my quick trip with older one. Wish him luck he finds a job when we are there. And hoping the town he thinks he wants to be in, is really a nice neighborhood when we visit it.

TGIF, even if I’m not working anymore. Funny, when we went out, we thought the traffic was light for a Friday night. Kids went out late morning and said the same thing, was more quiet in the traffic than a normal Friday. I guess many are on vacation, to CA for the Super Bowl, this weekend.

Super Bowl day, no dog in the fight, I’m more about the commercials & half time.

Would say food, but appears I picked up a bit of a stomach bug when out & about this week. Rarely, does the smell of food make me cringe. On a positive note, might lose a few #! Will make the wings as promised and just light sides/munchies for the family stopping by.

Again have my granddog here for weekend while his family is off doing indoor track competitions out of state. He’s a real brute to handle

Will say, I have to agree with Ms Carpenter as her choice for the perfect man…well, if I didn’t already have one who happily puts up with me.

Smart, back in day we’d schedule a trip at both ends of it, then let it slide until the next one.

Oh, I cannot describe how hot it is. What’s worse, swear half the guests there don’t use Deoderant. Yuck yuck. That said, we’ve gone over 4th of july for a week or so with the ‘lil solo since she was a tot as she loved the big booms.

That said, it’s like childbirth. A real pain when going thru it, you forget as soon as you get back home & ‘raring to do it again lol

We are thrilled to be forecast to hit mid 40’s Wednesday. Currently, 1-1/2 feet of snow still on the ground. Would be nice to see some of it melt.

It was horrendous here. Got another 4 inches. Mr was picking up DS from work @ 10 pm, on turnpike this night and snow squall hit/white out early. Good thing he has experience/CDL in his pocket and knew how to drive in it (slow & steady)

At least all the semi trucks were pulled over, probably as a fatality earlier with 18 vehicles due to truck. Lynne - you’d prob know the spot from your school days…I-70 on the big downhill curve just past Zelienope exit. It’s one of the worst spots on that stretch, banked very badly on a good day. Hard to tell until you’re right upon it tho if not familiar with the area.

Mr had made the same run the night before and Penn dot was out salting, roads were clear. What a difference a day can make!

Happy Monday. Nothing much going on around here. The other night dh and I went to an Abba tribute concert. It was pretty good and I still have some songs stuck in my head.

No, she will have work and school. Summer should be her last semester. I'm hoping she has an internship by then.


Tomorrow we are supposed to have a high of 60. Hopefully we can finally get rid of some of this snow and ice.

Keisha, yep, I do. Remember coming out of the mountains, going east on the turnpike coming home for holiday break, and was a sheet of ice as we headed down that hill. Was one of my scariest rides. We did make it home safely though, thankfully. Was me and two of my college friends. We used snow shoes to go to class when there was enough snow. Which was several months there. Got the lake effect as we were about an hour drive from Erie.

Had a nice visit with my sister yesterday. Decided to pack as night before. Set my alarm, as will finish right before we go. Have to take those motion pills, as even flying, if I don’t, I get sick fast. Luckily, no one else in my family has that issue.

Ah, so looking forward to being warm, and seeing if older one can put his name in a few places hoping that at least one of them will hire him. Sister told older one of another town to look into, as older one already had one in mind. So, we will look at both, and see what is available for sale and hiring near or in it. He is getting excited. Me too, I think, but will be odd to almost be that empty nester sooner now.

Uneventful flight down, and had a nice early dinner, so now chilling in our hotel room. Paid for standard, and yep, parking lot view. Whatever.

We are going to see how far away is the zoo, and hit that tomorrow, as we go through the town or towns to look out for job openings and okay place to house hunt. 74 when we arrived. Yay, high 70’s the high temp the whole week we are here. Much better than the 28 degree high home had. Ick.

I almost fainted earlier. Opened up a blogger’s email and read the Beach Club’s pool would be closed when there with DiL & ‘Lil. Turns out just one of the pools, not SAB. Phew

I'm bored. I just finished all the work I need to do for the day. Nothing to do until the next client comes in.

I am annoyed at the post office. I was supposed to get a couple of packages yesterday. In the morning the tracking info said they were in my town and out for delivery. By the late afternoon there was a notice that they couldn't be delivered due to hazardous weather conditions? What??? The roads are clear and temps are above freezing. They had no trouble delivering the junk mail though.

It took the mr years to get time off to burn from employer. I was always rather flexible as independent contractor gigs after retiring from bank.

With my dh the choices are spring break, summer, Thanksgiving week, or winter break. None of which are good times to go. I may do some solo weekend trips when I can find good room rates.

Not really. The professor that is head of the program gave her some suggestions of places to look. Fortunately, we live in Virginia and are surrounded by historical places.

Bored at work again. I should start bringing a book with me.

Good news on the internship front. B has started contacting places in our area and has already received a response from the National D-Day Memorial. She has an appointment with someone next week to discuss internship possibilities.

Half the aquarium was under construction, but we had a good time and though we thought the entry fee was very high for what we did see:

Is this the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where Winter the dolphin use to live? We went there once back when they were filming Dolphin Tale 2. Not a lot of animals, but we learned so much about dolphins and other marine life. We spent several hours talking to the employees and volunteers.

I'm on lunch break and then have 2 more hours before I go home. I've been trying to watch olympic figure skating when I get home but keep dozing off.

Back from our trip, and definitely he is going to move, just not where he thought along the coast he wanted, south looking now, not north looking. We are going back in a few months, now that he has finally decided the area he wants to move to. My sister gave him some advice, as she has gone to that area many times. So, when we actually do that house hunt, he asked her if she’d tag along. Funny, as my sister and I searched for my house, as my DH was out of the country when we were looking for our home. We’ve been happy in our house since we bought it. So, I’m hoping older one feels that too, when he finds the house he wants to live in. Best part, he expects us to visit him whenever we want. And, said can meet up with us, to stay for some park fun, if he can, when little one and I are on those park fun trips. Ah, this year, may be the emptying of the nest. And, not a bad thing, as a snow bird I may be at times this coming winter.

Ah, that Sunday of a holiday weekend, so no trash can drag to curb tonight. Will do it after the snowy and rainy Sunday night into Monday early morning, as this week, you’ll hear those trash can move tomorrow evening instead, maybe on a still wet street. Glad only an inch or two of snow, followed by rain. And, in the 40’s this week, with any kind of sunshine during this week, should help with the snow that still remains. But in that 10 day forecast saying more rain and wintery mix Thursday through Saturday. Eh, as long as it stays warmer, and not a lot of any snow, sleet, hail, freezing rain or rain, I’m fine with a little wet those days. But as any forecast, those wet days at the end of this week, may not be.

Ah, the day after that sweetest day of the year. Hehe, the flight attendants were wearing Valentine decor, including a cute heart headband. But no chocolate was passed out, just those pretzels I don’t like, that they always give out, no matter what day of the year. Eh, I’m not one for eating anything when I fly, anyway. So still was fun to see them dressed for the holiday. And almost everyone said Happy Valentine’s Day to them, as they left, including us.
