OK! OK! it is a rental but I got to charge around for a week in it and it is one cool ride. picked it up at Avis at Orlando airport, on the ride down to the hotel in Coco beach I had to stretch her out a little. she is a real head snapper when the turbo kicks in :rotfl2: :rotfl2: 0 to OMG in nothing flat.

I thought about all the DISDads as I saw it. DW didn't tell me until I picked it up :worship: :worship:

Can't tell...V6 or GT?

I've been reading for awhile and thought this was a good place to start.

I've honeymooned at WDW (stayed at CBR) and have been back three times since over the last 12 years to take my son who is about 3 now. We did live in SoCal and visited DL/CA about 5 times a year in the 8 years we lived there. We even had annual passes one of the years. I started running 2 years ago and get back in to shape, just so I could do the Disney marathon.

I hope I've done enough to get into the Dad club.

Ohh...you qualified up until that "get back in shape" part. We're big, lazy and proud of it! :thumbsup2 Just kidding, actually several of us are doing similar things health-wise. I can't think of any marathoners right now, but tutter99 is doing the Expedition Everest 5K. I think it would be really neat to do the Disney Marathon, but I would have a lot of training ahead of me. Keep us posted on how your training is going!

Definitely a DD to the 100th degree
Next trip is currently being planned for Oct 2010!
Have you been there in October before? It's a great time to go. I have a link in my siggy to my trip report from this past October. Read up and feel free to ask any questions.

Welcome to both of you! Emma's Dad will be along shortly to bestow membership numbers and add you to the official roster!

Saw the posts about flag football and basketball and decided to check out the whole Upward thing.

I have coached upward basketball for 3 seasons. What I like best about it is that they have refined the method of matching up and rotating players for equal playing time. The kids learn the fundamentals and have fun, which is important in their younger years.

I'm a little too big and lazy. 6'8" and 325, I figured I better drop some pounds before December or I'll scare the hell out of everybody's kids:scared1:

ok Dads I need a few ideas here.looking at putting together a Disney World scavenger hunt together for us and several other families to do during our trips to the world. It is looking like our trips will be at different times of the year, but thats ok we can see how we do and compare at later date.Where I ask for your help is:have any of you guys done anything like this before? and if so can you give me some tips on setting it up.Even if you have not done it before any help would be great. What I think I am looking for are some ideas of things to get or pictures of certain places ect.For example a picture with Big Al, golf ball from one of courses, refillable mug from a hotel, picture of lime green mickey with dis name on it, Ect.I could sit here and come up with some good ones but need to have things on list to challenge my family as well,if I came up with all the items it would be to easy for me to obtain them.So looking to get some ideas from others to add to the list to help me out.

Who knows maybe this is something us Dads can put together and incorporate into our trip.

Any and all ideas would be helpfull

Great idea...I am going to be seeing what everone suggests.!!

I've got 3 boys that are 6/5/2, and they've all been to disney once, and we're going again this year. I really just wanted to join the group (please) and say for the scavenger hunt, if you had the items all be "photographable" in one way or another, then you could compare by running powerpoints at the same time, and if you don't have the item, it's a blank slide? (that'd be my idea.)

Oh, sorry. The extraction team was watching the playoffs. As soon as the game is over, we'll try and get down there for you. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Please tell me you have the "leash of shame" with you! :thumbsup2

Made it back tonight, no thanks to you guys. Way to watch my back. The games were blowouts; couldn’t you at least put down your beverages at halftime and come get me?

Leash of shame came with us. Forgot the duct tape but found something better.

Good luck to you!! I look forward to your trip report they are always enjoyable to read!

Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy writing them. It will be a couple of days before I start this one. I will let Dis Dads know when it is up even though you let me down in my hour of need.

I may be wrong but I think due to the heavy volume of people caused by the Nfl playoffs, they moved the extraction point over to the English Pub in Epcot. It would have been risky to leave it at the original point for the weekend, should move back to original place come Monday.

Good luck with the rest of the trip hope all goes well

Thanks for letting ME know. Luck had nothing to do with surviving. Vodka was the key.

Delta Foxtrot 1 was unaware of any beacon activation..stand by for diagnostic run and standards confirmation...

Secondly....:scared1::scared1::scared1: You guys all right down there? Head injuries??

Ok, just to let you know, the beacon needs to be upgraded. It runs on 9 volt batteries. Who uses technology that runs on 9 volt batteries? And do you know how tough they are to find? It took me a few beers at ESPN to come up with some options.

Everything was fine until one of the kids said she liked Joey. Another one said, “Joey, eeewww, he’s in the chess club.” The first one then retorted, “At least Joey is better than Derrick, hasn’t he heard of Clearasil?” Soon there were fists flying and hair pulling. Had to use the fire extinguisher to quell the disturbance.

Seriously, it was a good trip. The kids had a good time and so did I.

OK, honestly, how many dads looked at the tricked out van in the handicap spot as well?:sad2:
I was looking for the DIS Dads logo on the back window! :lmao:

This is a great idea and I'm sure you'll get a lot of excellent suggestions!:thumbsup2
How about a Dole Whip photo? Or a photo of the key in the Muppet theater?
An autographed photo of Bob Jackson! He signs them during his break when he has pictures taken with his fans for his Web site.

Do Epcot world showcase , DTD, and Boardwalk at night when your son is sleeping in the stroller. Also you may have to deal with one of the most annoying things when traveling with a small child, people looking at you when the baby is crying, found the best thing to do is when someone shoots the eyes is look at them and say I guess your kid Never cryed, 8 out of 10 times it shuts them down. Good Luck! And have a Great Trip.

Will remember that one ! Thanks

First off, Welcome to all the new Dads.

I will be there in 3 days  let me know if you want me to take a picture of anything specific and I could get it if I am in that area. I can post and share when I get back.

Fed or any other Dads that will be in the World next week, it looks like we will watching Bob Jackson (the piano man) at POR on Thursday Jan 28th. If any Dads want to meet up to say hi or have a cold one let me know if this works.

The first thing that comes to mind is to put something together using the info that has been created on Your BEST WDW theme park secret!: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1712235

And if you send a PM to Dcanoli She has taken the time to put the info from the threads into a Word Document.

Awesome! :cool1::cool1::cool1:
