Just got back from the movies, we sat in from t of the noisiest people, they never stopped for a minute and were driving me crazy.

Tomorrow we are off to the aquarium and hope it is not tooo hectic there else we will do another drive by and come on home.

The funeral potatoes sound yummy all ways so I will have to try them with the chicken soup as DH doesn't eat mushroom.
I made the taco soup last night for dinner and that was good too and easy.

Hope everyone is having a great W/E.

My sister was telling me about the aquarium. She said it sounded like there is a number you can call to check if it is busy?

I'm glad to know that it's not just a Utah thing. Truthfully, it's one of the best snacks!

Glynis they have them here in CO too!! There are also ones that sell ice cream and we even have a theater with a restaurant also. There are other odd food choices but we don't get to the regular movie theater often. My favorite theater though is the one that is 50 cents on Tuesday for any movie.

Do you guys think AAA is worth joining for the room discounts we would save appr. 105 after sutracting the membership amount from the hotel savings. Moderate Hotel.
Our their any other advantages to Joining that can be used at WDW.

Glynis we have theaters here that sell food and adult beverages they are called Alamo Draft House

Yeah! More pickle theaters! I love the cheap theaters, too. We don't have any 50 cent ones, but we do have dollar theaters. Those are great! Especially when I have to take 4 kids to see a movie!

Ok I cheated & ordered a personalized Tink sweatshirt from Disney Shopping. I ordered a large thinking a med. might be to small. Well the tag says large, but it fits like an XXL! This sweatshirt is so cute too, do you think it will shrink any? I will wear it on this upcoming trip anyway, but it would look better if it wasn't so big.

I think their sweatshirts tend to run large. The one I have has not shrunk and it has been washed many many times.

O.K.........I am off to bed. It sure has been a quiet day and night on the DDA thread today. I am hoping everything can get back to normal and we can start a new week tomorrow. I am missing everyone being here together.

Check in with ya'll tomorrow..........Lynn

Oh no, that is not good news. Oh well, guess I will know better for the next time that I order. Thanks!

If you make your ressies through AAA you get free parking at the parks and a special place for AAA people to park. This is a perk even if you don't stay on site I think. We LOVE AAA. You can get free maps, trip tiks (planned map routes- these are cool!) DISCOUNTS ON WDW TICKETS, I can't remember what the specific name of these a re, but they're books fopr each state that have hotels, their rates etc. in them. Also highlights AAA discount hotels. THESE ARE A VALUABLE RESOURCE for me. You also get free towing for a certain distance if you need it and if your car gets a flat- they'll come a fix iot for you for free! I LOVE AAA!!!

Hope that helps! ;)

I had a similar issue. I ordered the long sleve tee with the antena balls on it....it is HUGE. I have washed and dried it so many times with no improvement. Now I wear it when I am just tinkering around the house.

Well, I took DS20 to the airport this afternoon to go back to school in Atlanta. I may not see him for another 4 months, which is how long he was gone this last semester. He is in his second year of college. I get used to him being away, but then after he is home, I cry again every time he leaves. I am happy for him, because he loves it there, but I still cry every time.

DH and I went to a party tonight so I had a good time, but now that I am home I am thinking about how much I miss DS. And I can't even think about when my youngest DS leaves this coming fall.... trying not to think of that yet.

Teenage boys...<sigh>, now his new thing is not cutting his hair...he looks like some animal died on his head.
:rotfl2: When we went back to visit last year we went to the 13 YO baseball games and one of the players had long hair down his back sticking out of his helmet. Grandma(being old fashioned and not up with the times) asked if they let girls play with the boys now. :faint: I was mortified that the parents might have heard. But what are you gonna do with the older generation, they just don't understand the new fashions and stuff. :confused3 Gosh forbid they get an earing. :scared1: She would never let that one go. Secretly, I like some of it to come from her than me. That way I'm not the uncool step-mom, I think it but let her give the lecture. :teeth:

Well, it could have been better. We had planned on going to a theater here that has a restaurant in it so we could eat dinner while watching the movie. Unfortunately the showing was sold out, so we tried to find another theater. We finally found one with a showing that would get us home before midnight, and I thought, "ok, I won't get dinner, but I can at least get a pickle." No such luck! They didn't sell them there. DH got a huge Diet Coke and a large popcorn. Boy was I wanting to cheat, but I didn't!

And the movie! I love the story of King Kong, but they added so many creepy crawly things like 8 foot spiders, 15 foot long centipedes, killer crickets, etc. that I was squirming for at least 1 of the 3 hours. Once they got off that island it was a fantastic movie for me. However, DH loved it, so I guess it was good! To each his own, right.

It was nice just being the 2 of us. I do enjoy that!
Guess I'll wait on that movie. I have major phobia of spiders and don't like bugs. I liked the story of King Kong, wonder why they put all that extra junk in? OT We loved the King Kong ride at Universal, I was sorry to hear that they closed it. :( Glad you got to enjoy a date though. Those are so nice. ::yes::

I started out my career teaching Elementary School music. Took 10 years off to be a SAHM and have a second child. When we moved back to Virginia I started out substitute teaching and quickly remembered why I had been ready to leave the teaching profession 10 years prior :teeth: It was the POLITICS of public schools that got to me, not the teaching itself.

When I knew it was time for me to go back to work I thought about private lessons in my home or in a rental studio. But there was an ad in the local paper that offered a job in a private music school and I went in for the interview and was hooked! Once I passed all the exams to become a Yamaha teacher I was hired full time. I teach 6 days a week, by my own choice.

I teach classroom lessons to 3year olds through adults and private piano in my own studio in the school. I also teach voice and music composition. I started this job back in 1992 and it seems as if I just began. I LOVE what I do!

I have kept my hand in conducting too, as I am the assistant director of a choral group at my alma mater, which is a University located in our city.

Thanks for asking!
The kids choir teacher at our church thinks my 4 YO son has a musical gift. (He picks up rhythms and pitch very quickly for his age.) What kind of instrument would you recomend for lessons for a preschooler?
