Glynis - You got a new milestone...500...and you didn't even know it. In fact, I don't think anyone did. Good luck at the docs.

I will have to start my English to Clare's English to Monica's Spanish dictionary.

Thanks for the info. You would think with a minor in Spanish I would have known that word, but I don't think I ever learned it.

Pray tell those of us who are trying so dilligently, how did she do it?

She is a type one diabetic and they have receintly released a drug called Symalin which helps her cut back on her insulin intake, thus caleries. It also curbs her appetite and she doesn't eat as much. It's a wonderfull drug for those that are fighting bad blood sugars as it helps regulate, but has many added bonus's, like the weight loss.

She tried to get me in a "Fat" Study, but I failed. They said I was too healthy and just needed to work out. Yea Whatever!

I think Alyssa would say you have been very productive today. Is she down for her nap now?

Yes! Down since about 1:30 p.m. so she'll be up any minute. I really should have napped too, but I have a slight addiction to the DDAs. :goodvibes

Amy :)

I congratulate her on her weight loss, but sorry that it took an illness to do it.

You seem to have taken the "Fat" study in stride. Even though I would more than qualify, I think I would be a bit upset if someone tried to enroll me. :teeth:

AMY - not a bad addiction if you are going to have one.

Do any of your little ones wear glasses? My youngest failed the eye school exam..took her today for follow up...she has terrible vision in her right eye. She couldn't see the biggest letter on the eye chart..have to see a specialist and sorta freaking out.

well J & N are too little for this

but I have worn glasses since I was 8 - they are pretty easy to adjust too and she will be very happy to be able to see again

was this the first time you ever had her checked? if it has deteriorated slowly she may not have realized it wasn't normal - I have acid reflux disease and was not diagnosed until right before I got pregnant with nick - when i was in the test - the reflux happened - I thought nothing of it and the doctor said to me - did you feel that and I said yep - he said that is acid reflux - it had been happening to me my whole life - why would I have thought it wasn't normal

My BIL is an opthamologist - maybe nancy will pop on later and you can ask her some questions - I don't know why being married to an eye doctor makes her an expert :rotfl: but I do tend to call her when eye things happen - she usually knows the answer or will ask her DH

I'm waiting (and i am not known for my patience).

What does DH do that he has to work this weekend? Mine will be at work too, but he works every weekend. I am bartending on Saturday night, so I will get to spend an extra 5 minutes with him!

Ok Charmed is done and I thought I'd pop back on while waiting for celebrity big brother to kick off.

DH works in accounts and as it is year end they have to compile the big accounts so he'll work 12 hour days and saturdays and sundays for the next three weeks!

Gives me time to write that report... after I've taken down the xmas tree :0(

Thanks. It is not the same color. I was afraid that was going to be the answer. I'll enlarge it so that I can get better control. Thanks so much for the help. I love this thread. You are all such positive people. Was this the right place to ask a design question? :confused3 Or should I have created a new thread for the question?

I still need to setup a photo account somewhere. I might post the in-progress design to get some input. We are going to Disney March 4-12. We are counting down the days - 59 until we are there!!!!!!

My family started out thinking that I was crazy. Now daily they are asking whether I have the design done. Thanks to Julia & Nick's Mom, my DD's and I are going to have our name with all the characters at least on the back of a gray hoodie. My husband isn't 100% sold on that design yet for himself. He usually wears button up shirts so I'll be testing the iron-ons on one before we leave. I'm trying to come up with a family design. Thanks again for the help. Vicki

Vicki, be sure to tell DH to get on board with the family design. Kate's DH didn't want a tie-dye shirt and then ALL day at Disney people gave him cr*p for not going along!! :rotfl2:

Have to tell you, though, that it was darned hard to get through the first 19 pages of this thread. None of the quotes are there so it was like 20 people took speed together and started talking!

Thanks to all who updated me and sent me to this happy place :goodvibes

All together now...

Kumbaya, my Lord, Kumbaya.... :charac2: :rolleyes1

Elin, I think you captured the essence perfectly!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Did any of you iron your designs on sweatshirts? If so...how did they turn out & where did you order them from?

Kristine

Here are some Christmas sweatshirts I made for myself, my DSis and my DMom

I used the dark transfer paper from Ebay on sweatshirts I got from AC Moore.

I could have probably used light transfer paper, but had the dark left so I went ahead and used it.

The shirts have washed nicely.

Will do! I think he is coming around. The main thing he was concerned about is that he doesn't want a t-shirt. He is just more comfortable & cooler in short sleeve button-up shirts.

If he gives me any trouble, I'll let him know about Kate's DH.

oops -

did you all hear that - Paul has decided he's the new sherriff in town -

you do realize as sherriff - you don't get to make up the rules - only enforce them

as queen I get to make up the rules -
be respectful and have fun!!
