Thank goodness! I suspected that was the issue! My kids were "starving" when they got home from school, they have already had chicken. Dh is on call and who knows when or if he will be home...oops there is the phone...might be him!

That is my favorite show at Disney, soooooooooooo bummed that it closes on 1/21 and Marti and I arrive on the 22nd. We always sit in the same seats and get Minute Maid Ices and I get all teary eyed as the skaters go by an give Matthew five. We have some great memories from that theater.

What more could he want? The kids are finished with homework, fed, noone needs a bath (well, noone who can't handle it on thier own) and well there is that little matter of half put away Christmas decorations and the neverending pile of ...here we go all together now...LAUNDRY!

I get to go to my surgeon for a follow up to show him how well I'm doing. SIL is watching my kids, so I'm going to do some shopping afterwards. I'm hitting the bookstores, as I'm almost out of books to read. Can't let THAT happen!

Then it's home to fix a low carb supper, play a game or two with the kiddies and then off to book group. Wow, that actually sounds like a full day when I write it out!

I SOOO understand the book thing. We haven't been to the library since before our trip on 11/23 and I've read through all of the books my grandma brought to me in early November as well. I have been scrounging for the last few days. Luckily, I came across the book written by the founder of Give Kids the World (where most Make a Wish families stay in Orlando). It is a great book so far, but there's no way it will last me more than a few days. Guess we're hitting the library this weekend. With the sun setting so early it's too dark and cold to walk the 20 minutes each way to and from the library by the time I sign off of work at 5:00. Any recommendations of things to read?

my in-laws are taking the kids for the weekend -

Julia is on her antibiotics and should be fine

but I am worried about Nick - he sounded a little croupy this morning - but now that he has been up it sounds like his chest has cleared so it might have just been build up

now he is running around like nothing is wrong -

I know I am being selfish - but I hope he doesn't get sick so we can have our weekend!!

Amy, how are you feeling? My second trimester was my "sick" time when I was pregnant with Kyle.

Good luck to all of you who are dieting this year!! I did Atkins to lose the baby weight- I gained 60 and lost 70 in 6 months!

Anyway, I am glad there is a new thread to keep the good times rolling!!!!

It's beautiful here. Going to be around 50 and sunny through the beginning of the week. Makes me ready for spring.

I want 50 and sunny! It hasn't been too bad here, but the winds are terrible. I want to know who's bright idea it was to put my train stop right by an ocean inlet and design it like a wind tunnel. To boot, they don't put anything more than a non-wind-blocking over hang for protection.

If you ever hear me refer to DH as "Tim, the Tool Man Taylor" you'll know why. Later that same year, he was fixing our deck, in his bare feet, and while using the drill, screwed his foot to the deck. Incredible, huh? Now I just roll my eyes when he mentions he wants to do a home improvement project. Oh, I also check our insurance policies.

I'm trying to be productive today, but the day did start with a wrong number at 6:50 a.m.!!!

Alyssa and I have played with: puzzles, Mr. Potato Head, Princess spin castle, walking and tail wagging Pluto, Little People circus train, Little People castle, and Fisher Price Learn through Music. We have also read lots of Princess books, had a couple of tea parties, and watched Sesame Street and JoJo's Circus.

I'm also trying to do some laundry.

Do you have the dragon that goes with the castle? I am dying to get it for Terra's birthday, but can't find it. I did get the carriage. Of course, I also found out about the pirate ship so now I need that too.

Speaking of Diets, My wife has lost 23 lbs and can fit back into her wedding gown. She is working her was down into the 120's, smaller then before we got married. I guess she's like a fine wine.

Get's better with age, now if I could only lose the weight myself before she goes out and finds a younger man.

Funny how weight loss changes the way you look at things though. She tends to wear slinker clothes now, or atleast more flattering. Not good when I catch other men looking and flirting, but I take it as a compliment.

She's a Hottie. I know.

Do any of your little ones wear glasses? My youngest failed the eye school exam..took her today for follow up...she has terrible vision in her right eye. She couldn't see the biggest letter on the eye chart..have to see a specialist and sorta freaking out.

My friend's almost 2yo has had glasses for about 6 months now. She has a lot of different problems, but one eye was deteriorating. The glasses have helped strengthen it again and the eye is healing. (I hope that I am explaining that correctly and not misinforming.) I got glasses when I was 7yo and was so much happier with them.
