The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 8

I sent Kyle an email with a link to the various birthday wishes... I'm sure he'll appreciate them!

Apparently he has a birthday thread as well, here:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=12757541#post12757541

If you have a minute and could say hi over there, maybe we'll lure him into making his own post for once! How rude would it be for him not to make an appearance and say thanks! ;)

Hi, I hope all is well. I have been super busy working on various projects and things. I will have to post pictures when things are done. I still have to finish my flower pots and then I have to figure out how I am creating a tree. After that I need to start working on picture projects for my Dad's 60th birthday. Not sure if I will do a display board, a photo frame, scrapbook, or digital photo book.

I think I am getting sick as my throat is killing me and I feel like an elephant is sitting on me because my whole body hurts.

Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: to everyone who needs it. Happy birthday and happy anniversary.

Nope! This was in the Kid's Area. I'll ask her the location when she shows me her pictures...and I still haven't gotten her photopass link yet!!!
You can also send email pictures from innoventions.

I hope you get a pair of glasses that will hold up well, they seem to have good ones these days. Ones with flexible parts I hear. Good luck.

I just got new glasses. The optician had just been to Mexico and bought some new frames. Had this cute pair, they weren't even out on the floor yet, adult Disney... with Mickey Mouse icons on the ear piece and at the temples. So cute. Made for me.... :smickey:

With all our weekend craziness, I've fallen behind, but that's a good thing, because that means you all have been on a posting frenzy! :thumbsup2

This is just a drive-by "hi," because while the yard looks great, we still have some dusting and cleaning to do inside, once we convince a certain two-year-old to go to bed. :goodvibes

The showing is at 9 a.m. and the open house is from noon until 2 p.m. I hope to catch up at naptime tomorrow!

In the meantime, you are all in my thoughts, and keep on posting!!!

Amy :)

Has anyone heard from Denise? She didn't go on the DDA trip, did she? I haven't seen her post in a few days.

Good luck with the house, Amy! What kinds of flowers did you end up with?

Thanks for the review. I trust you, so I'm going to talk Alan into going this week. Maybe we'll be able to squeeze in a date on Friday. Maybe even a matinee while the kids are in school. It is our anniversary, after all. We should do something fun!

You should definitely do something fun!!

Good advice, June. It's taken us 16 years of being together to learn this. We really don't do more than 15 minutes of housework on Saturday's and then we can play all day long. Take the advice, Channon, it's really good!
I wish I could play all day on Saturday's but I work every Saturday, I might get an occasional Saturday off but not very often.

Oh I sure hope you got some sleep. Try chamomile tea or a hot bath before bed. What about a glass of wine and hot bath? (bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles)

A bath would be good, if I had a bathtub!! We only have shower stalls in my grandparents house. Another wonderful reason to leave (like I needed another one!!).

Question?

SO this BIG DDA meet in `07….. why can’t it be DL? Most of you have not been to DL and the few of us that have could show you around.

I think we should start a poll/log/list/cluster of letters and words to decide when and where.

Then we all take turns planning something……eating reservations, room reservations (by the way some suites can hold a lot of folks at a good price), scheduling show times, blah blah blah.

I am up for either side of the country!! I am nearly smack dab in the middle of the two disneys!!

I am finally home from my week in Colorado. I had a great time with Theresa and her family last night. They took me out to dinner, and then we spent time chatting and catching up. Cassidy and Abi are just adorable, and I had a great time meeting Theresa and her family and getting to know them all better. Theresa, thanks again!!! :)

Here are a couple of pics we took last night in my hotel lobby:

And the pictures are now evidence of why I don't like getting my pic taken!!!

If any of you are ever in Colorado for anything my family and I can't wait to meet you!!

I make those occasionally for my kids! I love them sprinkled with sugar and lemon juice then rolled up. Yummy! Because they are so thin I can actually have a crepe once in a while. How do you eat yours?
I love crepes but have never made them. Perhaps I should make some sometime. My list of things to make keeps growing but I never seem to make any of it.

I am so sorry to hear about your haircut, but yes it will grow back. I have been debating cutting my hair off. What to do? What to do?
How long is your hair? Do you have enough that you could cut off and donate to Locks of Love? You need at least 10 inches cut off in a ponytail.

Last fall I chopped twelve inches off and donated it to Locks of Love. I keep wanting to get my hair cut but at the same time I want to let it grow out again so I can donate it again. I probably have to wait till next summer til I could possibly donate it again. I guess I am no help.

I want to go to Disneyland as I have never been but doubt I could go anyways. What about planning one of both. Those who can go, go and those who can't don't.

I feel so loved!!! I will promise to tell someone when I'm going to be gone! Now that my computer is fixed, I shouldn't have any more problems.

I'm letting you know, now, that I will be gone from June 3 through June 8 for a quickie trip to DL and Universal Studios for our 16th anniversary celebration. Everyone; write this in your planners, sticky notes, whatever you use. Don't let the powers that be forget that I gave advance notice!
We have our trip thread of when we are going. Could we possibly make it be all trips and not just Disney that way we wouldn't have to remember to always remind that we are going away. It is just a thought and it doesn't have to go into effect.
