What do you think I was alluding to! :lmao:

Kevin just doesn't get how important our computer work is...he seems to think bills are important! :teeth:

I'm really going to bed now. It's midnight here, unlike you other time zone people...

Amy :)

You tell Kevin we are working on world peace and it takes a lot of planning, conversation, PD’s, Prayers, jokes, sad stories, kudos, and funny stories.

Question?

SO this BIG DDA meet in `07….. why can’t it be DL? Most of you have not been to DL and the few of us that have could show you around.

I think we should start a poll/log/list/cluster of letters and words to decide when and where.

Then we all take turns planning something……eating reservations, room reservations (by the way some suites can hold a lot of folks at a good price), scheduling show times, blah blah blah.

I do believe Glynis now must submit a request to request being gone from the thread for more than 24 hrs.

I feel so loved!!! I will promise to tell someone when I'm going to be gone! Now that my computer is fixed, I shouldn't have any more problems.

I'm letting you know, now, that I will be gone from June 3 through June 8 for a quickie trip to DL and Universal Studios for our 16th anniversary celebration. Everyone; write this in your planners, sticky notes, whatever you use. Don't let the powers that be forget that I gave advance notice!

Good Morning Everyone :wave2:

I hope everyone is doing well. It's Friday and I am soooooo glad. I don't think after today I have the mental capacity to review another mortgage loan application. My DH works at Home Depot and he comes home physically exhausted. I sit at a desk all day looking at a computer and analyzing papers and I come home mentally exhausted. Either way after dinner we practically crash and burn. I will have some laundry to get caught up on over the weekend.

I have one DS out the door and on the bus and one more to go. I hope everyone has a good day and I will check in later when I get into the office.

Lynn

Lynn, what company do you work for? My DD’s godmother is a loan officer and I hear her talking about this, that and the other. I am thinking of getting my loan officer license so I can work out of DD’s god mother’s house that is only 1 ½ miles from mine. And! Then I could work when I wanted and be able to go to the girls school events.

Chuck??? Are you coming to join the crazy fun?

We need some testosterone around here every so often.

Kevin? Kyle? Paul? Tom? What happened to the British designing guy? Any of you guys?

Only when my computer is on the fritz! Actually, today I'm babysitting my niece and nephew. I'm not thrilled about it as they are terrible children. that's horrible to say, but it's true. For example, last Friday DH was watching them while I went bowling, and they dumped a can of gasoline all over his garden! Can we say ANGRY?!? After that, they went into my basement, got into my craft scissors, and cut up Katie's Harry Potter UNO card game. They do this kind of stuff all the time. They've torn up my books, broken my kids toys (intentionally) and stolen stuff. We've talked to their parents (DH's brother) and they just laugh it off. They won't pay for anything, because they refuse to believe that their kids are responsible. Makes me so mad! However, I keep watching their kids! Someone explain that to me?!? Today I'm making them sit on the couch and not move without my permission. So far they're 45 minutes into a 2 hour sentence. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to hold out!

Sorry to vent, but I'm at my wits end with these kids. I would never allow my kids to act that way at someone else's house without offering to pay for the damage. Grrrrr.

I have a few ideas…..

Maybe get on the phone and tell a friend you are trying to get the kids to be nicer to your things so you are going to start talking about security cameras. Ask your friend to play along. You could even call me and I will talk you through it.

Remember you want the kids to hear you talking about it.

(yes, we just had security cameras installed inside and outside the house. I am so glad we will be able to tape the different areas of the house inside and out 24 hours a day. You know with crime up and strange things happening, I just feel better knowing that I can turn a video tape over to the police if I ever have to)

Another thing you can do is make a sentence work sheet. If a child misbehaves, then they will write sentences. You determine the sentence and how many they will do. Then you make the sheet or sheets with the first sentence done for them. You can do it on printing or handwriting depending on what you want. I would not do any thing less than 15 sentences; because it will not give the effect you want. I have a friend who had her daughter write 1000 sentences one time, (she gave her three days to do it).

Then you could have them sit in the corner and recite a bible verse over and over until the timer goes off.

The bad thing is your kids will have to deal with the new rules while the others are in your house.

You could get each of your kids a trunk to lock up toys and books when the other kids come over.

You could set up your video camera to tape the kids in on area of the house while they are there (then if something does happen, you could play it for their parents).

You could with hold relations with your DH until he confronts the problem.(this only works if you don’t want relations)

Last…you could start drinking heavily.

Best of luck, I will keep you in my prayers.

You know I was wondering if we could share what everyone does as far as work or home business so if we ever need anything or want to refer someone we have a name and number/email address.

Is that a bit much?:confused3

Gotta go for now, I am at work and shouldn’t be on the thread.(don’t tell)

Catch up more later.

Now I’m on page 2118.

The GI doctor's nurse just called because the Radiologist Report came back. It says the Fundoplication is Incompetent. That means it has failed. He is to call us tomorrow with more information. It also showed that Rees' stomach has rotated to a transverse (lying on its side) position which is very unusual and probably means it is trying to herniate. So, if this is all true, it does look like Rees will be having surgery. I will keep you posted. I told the nurse to have the GI doc call the surgeon so they could discuss treatment. I'll try to be back later.

Denise, I'm sorry that the news wasn't better. I hope that the surgeon is able to figure everything out quickly and help your sweet boy feel better quickly! :grouphug:

...and you guys are NO HELP with hotel picking!!! But I looked at more pictures of Pop Century and have decided that I'm staying with Pop. Of course, I can still modify my reservation up until departure day, based on availability.
I've told myself that since the difference in the hotel is what is also on my Kohls charge, I'm only allowed to upgrade once my Kohls is paid off.

You hit my constant dilema, Chanon. I always thing about upgrading...but in the end I just can't do it. The thought of what else that money can go to is just too much for me. Thankfully, we really like the value resorts so are more than happy to stay there. Perhaps if we spent more time at the resort it would be different. I just remember the one time we stayed at POR as we had 5 people that time...I just didn't feel enough "extra" from that visit to make it worth the extra money over a value if we had less people. Now if I were to ever go to an Epcot resort, I can TOTALLY see that opinion changing, but then I'll save that for when we can afford DVC.

What a cool idea! Not sure it would work for me though as we make our pancakes to a different recipe - they are actually french crepes and are meant to be wafer thin...

Mmm.... crepes are my FAVORITE! :goodvibes

Oh Jen - I meant to say... isn't it odd that my birthday is two days before yours and my DH's birthday is two days before Kyle's!!! Spooky :)

That's funny! Were you both born in the same year, or are there some in between you?

Good morning everyone,

hope those at the World right now a having a wonderful time, Amy I'm glad to
hear all is well with you and baby Matthew.

Congratulations on finishing your assignments Clare, I love your "accent" in your posts. I'm guessing a "tip" is what we call the dump?

Best wishes and or congrats to the rest of you, my goal today is to get the
invitations printed and in the mail for my daughter's reception, I'm still open for any suggestions or recipes.

Have a great weekend,

Debbie :wave2:

Good to see you! Hope that you are feeling better quickly. Don't really have any ideas for your party, but I hope the planning is going well.

Ellen -- thanks for posting the pictures! I'm glad you all were able to meet :goodvibes
