Well, it's official. I need to stop cursing. The Donald Duck in me uses a few choice words during moments of frustration (break out the hot sauce Glynis!) and tonight, when Alyssa couldn't fit the crayons back in the box, well, she used one of those words...about six times before I realized what she was saying. Actually, Kevin picked up on it first, and since he swears once every two years, you know who got the blame.

Please, can I still swear here? ;)

Amy :)

My favorite "swear" word is booger butt right now does that mean I need hot sauce too? :confused3

actually yes I was :lmao:

My dad is/was an alcoholic so I do know my way around a few bars from a child. Could be why I haven't been in a bar in eons!!

Theresa,
It is amazing what happens to us when we are children. My father used to go to one particular bar and leave me in the car. Thankfully nothing happened to me but the guilt I carried all these years. Cannot stand people fighting in bars.

I have never heard of Tastefully Simple....tell me more please!! :teeth:

Our friends who live in West Virginia sell it too. Some things are really good

My kids were asking the other day if they could get some pen pals for the summer. Would it be ok with you if they wrote to your kids? If so, could you PM me your address? Maybe this will help cheer Rees up (and the other kids, too, as they have to watch him go through all this). We'll be travelling quite a bit this summer, all over our state, and my kids would love to send postcards from all the places we will go. Let me know if this is something you think would help your kids.

So, even though we're having an open house from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday, Remax just called and asked if someone could walk through at 9 a.m. that morning. Yay, finally someone is coming inside! :woohoo:

Well Ellen and I had a fun evening!!

It was awfully short but we got lots of gabbing in.....I caught her up on what she missed this week. She also had to get up early in the morning but won't be home until late tomorrow evening.

Ellen is a wonderful lady.....how do I know you ask? Abi who is painfully shy around older people never stopped chattering.....that means she is comfortable around her.

Ellen took pictures so you will finally be able to see what my girls look like!! :teeth:

I can't wait to meet more of the DDA family !!!

Hey I think I like you already!! :teeth:

As long as you don't actually make the car "dance" I will go on a road trip with you anytime.

What is a pancake puff?

ETA: Nevermind I found it :goodvibes

Glynis said:
DH had to work late last night, so I ended up making pancake puffs for the kids, and having a piece of string cheese for my dinner. Yummy! Yes, I'm being sarcastic. Boy, did I want a pancake puff. The only thing that held me back was the pain that I knew I would be in if I ate one. Yikes!

I wish I could, but I don't think I can make 2 trips in the same month. I am hoping to take Garrett the 1st week of Jan. for his 13th birthday.

Some of us are going in January for the half marathon! The rest of you could come cheer us on!

Knew I should have read further :goodvibes This is a great idea, to bad I don't have a sandwich maker!

Glynis said:
I got a sandwich maker for Christmas 2 years ago, and my kids love the hot ham and cheese sandwiches I make in it. About a year ago, they requested pancakes. Now, I love to eat them, but hate to make them. I can never flip them so they look good, and it just is a mess. So, I made a batch of pancake batter, and used the sandwich maker to cook them. It made them all puffy and golden brown. My kids loved them so much they now request them on a regular basis. I love that I can make them so easily. They also freeze and warm up easier than my old pancakes. The kids can also just hold them in their hands (without syrup) and munch on them for a snack. Very yummy!

Y'all are going to think I'm such a nut but I can't stop crying. Today was Christopher's last day of Pre-K, which is bad enough in itself, but it was also his last day at this school. We loved this school and were so happy when he was accepted but made the difficult decision to move him to another school that is competitive academically, is a K-12 school (current school only goes to 5th), and has MUCH cheaper tuition once he hits 6th grade. If we turned down the spot at the new school we wouldn't have a chance of ever being accepted again so we decided to move him and at least give it a try. I thought I was OK with our decision, but I've been so sad since I picked him up. I've been trying to hold it together in front of Christopher but I started tearing up when we went through the bag of summer materials she sent home for him. He hugged me and told me it's ok. Damn pregnancy hormones! My 5 year old is handling this better than me!

Thanks for listening.

Hope you had a fun evening!

Any whoo I'm sure I'll be home early (tomorrow morning that is :rotfl2: ) and I'm not sure what condition I'll be in when I get home so I won't talk to you all until sometime tomorrow. :drinking1 :headache:  :crazy2: :scared: :faint: :confused3 :goodvibes The smilies show my possible conditions :rotfl:

Have a quiet evening.
