The Las Vegas Outlet Center....call before you go...apparently the stores travels around to different places.

If you do go...it is South down the Strip...about 2 miles past Mandalay Bay. If you are not driving...take the trolley from Mandalay bay directly from there. $4 round trip. If you need specific travel info...let me know.
They had a lot of pins, shirts, etc...I really didn't know what everyone needed or wanted, or I would have bought more>

K

Thanks!!!

Good morning everyone! Thanks for missing me yesterday Vicki! :teeth: In addition to work, Kevin had a three hour city meeting, so Alyssa and I had two playdates yesterday. The second one was at Chuck E. Cheese (just to play, not to eat) and I'm so mad at myself because I brought the camera with no memory card!!! Ugh this pregnancy brain!!!

Sending lots of :wizard: and :grouphug: today to Kate and Nick, Rees, the Fig car, and all the Figs, and Jennifer's friend Alyssa too. And, anyone else I may have missed having a tough day ahead of them!

Paula, be nice to your thumb today too! :thumbsup2

Dawn, I love the movie Love Actually too! Did you read the Lost spoiler thread yesterday about Sawyer and !!!!!! I can't wait to watch tonight!

It's supposed to hit 78 today in Cincinnati, but the only exciting thing planned right now is a trip to grocery store. 1/2 gallons of milk are 10 for $10 so we'll be stocking up on chocolate (for Kevin), skim (for me) and whole (for Alyssa). I don't think I'll be buying three different packages of Oreos though Jennifer! :teeth:

Hey, did anyone else read or see that Tom Cruise has changed Katie's name to "Kate" now because Katie is a girl's name and she's a mother now? I read this in the paper yesterday and last night on Letterman he said "Kate" at least 10 times. I wonder if Katie Couric will discuss this issue with him anytime soon. ;)

Hope everyone has a great day!
Amy :)

Sounds like milk shopping in this house, different for everyone, but then we have the same problem with ice-cream - a different one for each and then the kids normally eat my favorites too :lmao: :lmao:

Maybe I will be able to check this out now! I am glad they are changing it, so others can experience it as well.

Have you all seen the breaking news on Mission Space? I may actually be able to ride it now. I like that they aren't changing the ride for those that want to ride it in the original form but am thrilled that they are giving me a way to ride it.

I always buy my milk at Costco. I can get 2 gallons for 3.25. That's a good deal! However, I did notice today that Albertson's is selling half gallons of milk 10 for 10 dollars. I may let the kids get some chocolate milk.

We pay that at Costco for 1 gallon :confused3

Kate,
I am so glad to hear about Nick's scan today. Hoping the tylenol will help your little guy.

Kristine,
Welcome back from Vegas.

Elin,
You are right! Thanks again for listening!

Good night..early day tomorrow.

Theresa -- tell Cassidy congrats from me on her band's accomplishments. That is terrific!

Jennifer -- thanks for the link to the furniture... fun to look through!

I have a proud Mom moment to share too. As you know, Kristin (DD19) is a theatre performance major in college. Every spring the entire department is required to audition for the following semester's Main Stage productions. This is a highly competitive time as they only do 4 shows a year on that stage and there are about 150 performance majors vying for those casts.

The plays being produced next semester are "The Nerd" (a comedy) and "Medea" (... not a comedy ;) )

Kristin assumed that if she was to be cast she would win a role in the comedy since that is one of her strengths. Well... guess what... ::yes:: ... you got it... she is in "Medea." She was cast as one of the Chorus.

The director is a Visiting Artist from the Royal Shakespeare Company who is quite young and a little out of the box, so Kristin is more enamored with the production now. The callbacks were rigorous and she is fascinated by the tack this director is taking so far. The role of Medea will be played by a very talented hearing impared grad student. She will sign her lines and they will be interpreted in the spoken word. I cannot wait to see it!

I am so proud of Kristin and her hard work to get this part and am looking forward to watching her grow as an actor through this new opportunity. If I could, I would buy all the available tickets and invite you all to Tammi's house to stay so you could be there for opening night.... :rotfl2:

Yea!! Kristin!! :cheer2: What a great accomplishment. Sounds like a wonderful production!!

Marti -

Why did you take the fab 4 out of your sig?

Because there was some doubt that I could make it. My best friend Rose has been battling breast cancer and they are throwing her a HUGE party on -- you guessed it -- Saturday May 20. Paul, Matt and I were the ONLY non family members invited, and I'm slightly crushed that I can't make it. Its a surprise for her - so I can't even call her to tell her how bad I feel. Then my uncle died and its been heck around here. But I am definitely going - I just never put it back in my signature.

Someone may have already answered, but since this is my favorite show I'll answer anyway. :teeth:

Biggest difference: seating! DL is along River's of America and you stand along the walkways in Frontierland/New Orleans Square. It is VERY crowded and you often have to get there super early to have a decent spot (unless of course you know "Tia's super secret awesome spot with very little wait").

Biggest difference in the show: DL has a sailing tall ship along with the riverboat on it's MK river. This is used for a Peter Pan scene (really cool!) instead of the Pocahontas. Also, there are Pinnochio and Dumbo scenes added to the series of dancing animals, flowers, etc.

Questionable difference: The size of the riverboat. I have heard a lot of people say the DL boat is bigger. That may be true, but to me it seems more like you are just closer to it at DL and that the backdrop (Tom Sawyer's island as opposed to the "mountain" at WDW) is shorter.

Funniest difference: I'm sorry, but the dragon just looks like it is made out of trash bags at DL. Doesn't detract at all, but just cracks me up. My friend used to run lights for DL's show and thanks to her I can never forget things like that.

Cool difference: I love walking on Tom Sawyer Island and seeing the spots for the difference lifts and props.

I personally really like both shows. I really like the Peter Pan segment at DL, but overall prefer the experience of the WDW show. That said, I will never miss a showing of either when in the vicinity.

Thank you Tia, That explains why I do not recognize part of the Fantasmic Cd I got because it is the Disneyland version. I couldn't remember Peter Pan. Of course I couldn't because it doesn't exist at WDW. I remember Pocahontas but couldn't find that music in the Disneyland version, because it did not exist. This is just another reason why I need to go to Disneyland.

I haven't seen the WDW version since I got the CD and was confused but you have made it crystal clear and it all makes sense. Thank you. :goodvibes

Thank you all for the congrats to Cassidy! I am hoping she receives a soli award as she has enjoyed Jazz Band and is bummed the HS's around here do not carry a flute in their Jazz Bands.

Wow! And I thought paying 2.06 at Walmart was bad for a gallon! Gotta love Costco and it's double packing the gallons! Come to Utah!!!!
