I would like to first thank Stephanie (Steffy) for telling me about the DIS board. About two weeks after that, I found the Design thread and that started my year long posting.

When we went to WDW, I had the most fun. Not only because I was having a real, real vacation since my cruise in 1987 with my DH. But all the planning, and making of shirts from everyone who made the most wonderful designs for our time with Disney.

I do not have the money to go as often as I would like to in my dreams, but I can live vicariously from everyone else going. Right now I would give anything to go this year, but it is not looking like that in the cards.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU everyone for being here and giving me laughs and time to give :grouphug: and shed tears
congrats on your 900th post. y am close to a milestone of my own

okay I give up im going to bed. will see who gets post 24,000 later on today.

Wow. I dropped my mom off at the airport this afternoon, between naptime and tonight I managed to get caught up. :cool1:
Forgot all my mental notes so :wizard: :wizard: for everyone who needs it.
The Pixie Dust Zone sounds like a great idea. :thumbsup2
Everyone love the pics. of the kids. Someday I'll figure out how to post pics. of my boys.
DH goes out of town next week so I'll have plenty of time to stay caught up as I don't sleep when he's gone. I always worry about things when he's out of town. :confused3
I hope everyone has a :sunny: day.

:cheer2: Morning DDA'ers! :cheer2:

Just thought I'd drop in before work to say Hi. Nothing exciting going on today. Or yesterday for that matter. Except leaving stuff on the car. I found most of it, I'm just hoping I didn't leave a deposit slip in my planner. Call me crazy, but I'm going back this morning to look around some more. I did find some nice people that didn't call the cops on me for walking around their yard at 10pm and gave them a business card in case they find anything else.

It's nice to see some new faces on the board, and it's nice to finally meet Baloo! I've heard wonderful things about you! :thumbsup2

The turtle cartoons were hilarous!

Well, it's too early for me to think straight. See everyone later!!

Good morning, all! I haven't started reading yet. Did you all take the fact that I was finally caught up yesterday as a challenge?!

I wish :sunny: :wizard:  days for everyone!

So does anyone have any guesses on who Crush! is? I'm thinking that it is one of our regular posters. Interestingly Kate is never on when Crush! posts and I know that Marti is away for a few days, but where is Skunka? Hmmmmmm. Crush! are you out there. I see you posted on one other thread today too, but you know way too much about Disney to not be a regular. Anyone else care to venture a guess?

Deb

I was thinking the same thing. I had been wondering if Skunka was going to LI with Marti or if she left him home alone and without proper supervision. Then of course Kate is suspiciously absent as well. The cleaning the toy room was a pretty good cover up with the BBQ this weekend and everything she may just be pulling one over on us. Hmmm...No one else seems to be missing long enough to arose my suspicions, but we'll see...

Any luck with getting volunteers with your flyer?

Beth, I love WW. It works so well (when I follow it :rotfl: ) Anyway, if you need a buddy to be accountable to, I'll volunteer. :teeth:

Thanks! It worked very well for me...until I stopped working it.

Crush! Dude will this work?

You'd win me over in a second since you used the turtle from the Main Street Electrical Parade (and yes, I insist on keeping "Main Street" in there even though since moving to DCA it is just Disney's Electrical Parade).

I'm such an idiot.

Today Bob had to borrow my car while his is in the shop so he could go to choir. So after work, I unloaded the car, took things out of my car, a friend called on my cell, I put things on the car, got the mail, went in house, talked to friend while cleaning the house, and Bob left for choir.
I left stuff on the car. Yes, that is "on" you're reading.
Didn't realize it until I couldn't find my paperwork from work.
My planner and Disney schedule is gone.
I found half of my Disney schedule two miles up the road, which I could care less about. I wanted to find my planner.
I guess I'll be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I hope you find it! I would be a mess if I lost my calendar.

You don't need two computers, if you opened a new window you could be signed on with two screen names...

Nice to see you Paul! :wave2: The group's testosterone level has been running a little low without you, Mac and Tom around much. Are we scaring you away?

Nice timing on that post, btw. No suspicions raised here or anything....

That sounds like a lot of fun! I wish my kids would be content to do a craft project, but they always want to be on the go.

We're on Spring Break, too. We've done lots of fun things this week; a day making cookies at home, a day at the library, a day at the zoo, and today we went to the Aquatic Center (why don't they just call them pools anymore). Tonight, Katie is having a sleep over with her cousin, and Jacob is having another cousin sleep over at our house. The twins really wanted a sleep over, too, so they get to sleep on the pull out sofa bed. Tomorrow, I think we'll relax most of the day in the garden, and then Katie has a "late night" with one of her friends. Saturday we get to take DVD's back to the library. Boy am I glad that Sunday is a day of rest.

Whew! I'll be glad when school starts again on Monday!

We had our "Spring" Break in February this year. There is nothing Springy about central NYS in February! Next year we are supposedly getting a week in Feb and a week in April, but nothing official has come out yet. In the past, we always had the week following Easter off, but they are trying to get away from that.

Good morning everyone!! :sunny:

Can't say that I will argue too much with only 10 pages to catch up on from last night. Of course, I also stayed up to late so I should have had more. Apparently, I just missed the return of the pumpkin so a belated thank you to Crush for the return and KC-10 for securing the release. :thumbsup2

And now it's back to work for me. I get to do some really fun filing today! YIPPEE!! With that though I may just need frequent DDA breaks to help maintain my sanity. ;)

Before I head to bed, I am hoping that you can spare some prayers and pixie dust for my grandma (Ruth) tomorrow morning. She recently joined Curves. Two weeks ago Saturday she was doing her workout and did something to hurt her back. Thinking it was just strain she took it easy for a week. When it was still sore that Thursday she went to the doctor who sent her to physical therapy. The pt listened to her complaint and said "you know that sounds just like a woman who was here the other day and she actually had a fractured compressed vertebrae. Soo...they do xrays and my grandma has not one, but TWO fractured compressed vertebrae.

So tomorrow morning she is having a procedure done to help the extreme pain she is in. They will insert a needle between the vertebrea and insert a little balloon. The balloon inflates to put the vertebrea back in line and then they inject a concrete like substance that will keep them in place. She has been told that the pain is better almost immediately which should be good.

In addition to this one time, I am concerned about what this all means for the state of her osteoperosis. This is the simplest event that has ended up with a broken bone for her so it doesn't sound good. It is about the 6th broken bone she has had in the last few years.

Thanks all!! :grouphug:

Prayers and pixie dust for your grandma. :wizard:
