The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

OK, so I know I promised not to look up airfare anymore now that I bought mine already














It is now $433 per person!!
And they cancelled our 7:45pm return flight and put us on the 6:10 PM flight- which was the one I really wanted anyway!!!

I saw this the other night when I was reading one of my books before turning off the lights for the night. The book was a perfectly innocent one - Friends to the End, The True Value of Friendship (by Bradley Trevor Greive the best-selling author of the Blue Day Book).

Before I head to bed, I am hoping that you can spare some prayers and pixie dust for my grandma (Ruth) tomorrow morning. She recently joined Curves. Two weeks ago Saturday she was doing her workout and did something to hurt her back. Thinking it was just strain she took it easy for a week. When it was still sore that Thursday she went to the doctor who sent her to physical therapy. The pt listened to her complaint and said "you know that sounds just like a woman who was here the other day and she actually had a fractured compressed vertebrae. Soo...they do xrays and my grandma has not one, but TWO fractured compressed vertebrae.

So tomorrow morning she is having a procedure done to help the extreme pain she is in. They will insert a needle between the vertebrea and insert a little balloon. The balloon inflates to put the vertebrea back in line and then they inject a concrete like substance that will keep them in place. She has been told that the pain is better almost immediately which should be good.

In addition to this one time, I am concerned about what this all means for the state of her osteoperosis. This is the simplest event that has ended up with a broken bone for her so it doesn't sound good. It is about the 6th broken bone she has had in the last few years.

I hope the procedure works. Osteoperosis is not a fun disease. Unfortunately breaking bones is common. I'm sure that the doctors have put her on calcium and potassium to help. for Grandma

I really don't think I could ever find the right words to post right now - just sitting here thinking of how you all have enriched my life in the past year has me in tears. I never imagined I would meet the most wonderful people in the world on the internet. Everyone of you is so important in my life and you are all a constant!! I feel lucky that I have met so many of you and that I am on my way to meeting more of you- I would love to eventually meet all of you!

Tammi...I'm so sorry to hear that.It was actually on our local news here.I think the plane wnt down not far from here.His dad was the first guy to fly the Mach 5 or 7 or something?

Joe called all evening and just got the machine but luck was on our side.Jon was on the phone with his grandma (her mother,witch #2) and they have call waiting and Jon took the call then.It was about 9:15.Geez she doesn't know what a hole she's digging herself.

mommykds...sounds like you're having a good Spring Break.I like to chill out tone day during Erich's SB (his was way back in Mar.) it was rainy and dark and miserable.We stayed in our jammies all day,laid in my bed ,watched movies(mostly Disney) all day and ate snacks and talked alot. It was so fun!

Don't you start that too! I'm trying to get through the temptation to book a trip next month for my birthday. Then there's the part where I just found out I may have an extra week of vacation now so maybe I DO need a Dec trip (at least a few days). You know...just a few days to hit MVMCP, Candlelight, a little decoration intake, some characters, a little MouseFest...hmmmm I may have to keep an eye on that idea! I'll be looking for some AP discounts!

OMG - I just found out that my ex-boyfriends father was killed in a plane crash. You might hear about it on the news. It's probably been like 10 years since I've seen him and his family, but they are such sweet people. I am so sad for them and have a pit in the bottom of my stomach. I've evening been flying with him in his airplane! I guess it's such a shock because I knew all of them. If you wouldn't mind, could you send a prayer and pd their way please?

Today Bob had to borrow my car while his is in the shop so he could go to choir. So after work, I unloaded the car, took things out of my car, a friend called on my cell, I put things on the car, got the mail, went in house, talked to friend while cleaning the house, and Bob left for choir.
I left stuff on the car. Yes, that is "on" you're reading.
Didn't realize it until I couldn't find my paperwork from work.
My planner and Disney schedule is gone.
I found half of my Disney schedule two miles up the road, which I could care less about. I wanted to find my planner.
I guess I'll be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Wish me luck.
