Is it bad that John and I are relieved he just refluxed and the number dropped on the monitor? I don't want him to hurt, but I want a definitive answer. We're taking them to see The Wild tomorrow and get ice cream as a reward. I know it's not good, but I figure the kids will enjoy it.

I'm glad to hear you're seeing some results. As much as you don't want Rees to hurt at all, it's better that he hurt some now if it will keep him from hurting all of the time later. The kids will probably like the movie and the distraction and fun is what's needed most.

We had a neighborhood garage sale today and instead of having one - I decided to hit them! There were 5 neighborhoods within 5 minutes of me having sales

I got Julia a little tykes easel for $3!! (I have to paint the chalkboard with chalkboad paint) a wooden doll cradle for $2 and a bratz stylin salon with 2 dolls for $8 -

For Nick I got this pickup truck for $15 and a duplex lego set for $3

and a desk for Steve for $5!

I usually don't do that well - but I got up at the crack of dawn - funny thing is - I only went b/c Steve has a golf outing this afternoon and I didn't want to be stuck in the house all day!!!

I have that truck! It was $80 bucks!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We are. He's having Spaghetti O's, Bugule Corn Chips, Cranberry Juice, and applesauce for lunch with a chocolate brownie for dessert. A refluxers worst nightmare. Poor kid. But he's done tomorrow.

Hi!

I took my 10 year old DD shopping this morning for new spring clothes. She has gotten so tall that nothing fits her from last year. Fortunately the stores in our mall had some great sales. She wanted shirts with monkeys on it (very popular for that age now..Bobby Jack) JC Penney had a sale $7 a shirt. They are usually like $20!!! I also caved & got her gouchos. I don't like to buy things too trendy because she may not want to wear them after a while but they did look cute on her. I even let her get a Green Day tee shirt. Boy she thought she was so cool in this "teenage" tee-shirt store we have here. It's becoming very hard shopping with her since she is growing into a "tweenie" & she wants to look cool like her friends. Anyway. we also checked a few store for these sneakers called "Heelies" but they were all out (3 stores!) Anyone heard of them.. They are sneakers with a wheel in the heel so the kids can skate & walk. Well apparantly they are "the" thing to have if you are 10-14 years old right now.

I couldn't pass up going into the Disney store & I ended up going berserk & buying these absolutely cute plastic cups & goblets with Mickey, Nemo, Ariel, & Tink on them. They also have hawaiin flowers & lemon/ lime slices. I bought the glasses & smaller cups for the kids..also bought the matching pitcher..and plates with the same design..I couldn't be stopped...I was a shopping maniac. Well at least I had a coupon...$75 in plastic tableware later I came home & showed DH..he says "what, more glasses & plates?" while opening my overfilled cupboards...I said "yea but these have Mickey on them." :lmao:

Hope you are all having a good weekend. Hugs to everyone needing one today. :grouphug:

Morning all. Rees had a good night. This is going to sound weird, but that scares both me and John. If this test doesn't show him refluxing again, then what is causing all these symptoms and pain? Then Rees will have to have more yucky tests. So, keep praying, but I pray that today he does reflux some so we'll have a definitive answer.

I'll update later.
Denise I was thinking about you and Rees as I couldn't sleep last night. Maybe it's all the prayers for Rees maybe he won't need surgery this time. I wanted to let you know that your example as a mom has been a great inspiration and encouragement to me. I had struggled for so long with God about DS Zachary and not wanting him to have problems that I forgot to recognize all his gifts to Zachary. Seeing the grace and strength you show in dealing with the problems that crop up with Rees has been an eyeopener. Zachary doesn't have as many struggles to go through as Rees and yet I have not handled his problems as positively and gracefully as you have Rees. :guilty: You are an amazing person and wonderful mom. May God's blessings overflow for your family. :goodvibes
:wizard: :wizard: God knows your needs and wishes for Rees this week-end so I'll just pray for that.

OMG! I just spit Diet Coke everywhere. My kids are a FIG TREE!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :confused3
That is hysterical. You couldn't have planned it any better!

I am a fir tree and have to say it's pretty much right on.

Fir tree (Mysterious) -- extraordinary taste, handles
stress well, loves anything beautiful, stubborn, tends to care for
those
close to them, hard to trust others, yet a social butterfly, likes
idleness and laziness after long demanding hours at work, rather
modest,
talented, unselfish, many friends, very
reliable.

So I just got back from my Service Unit sleepover. There were about 76 Daisies and Brownies and about 20 adults. It was a good night, I had a blast. All of my girls but one were there. They all had a great time and I had no problems with them. I got my workout for the night as I did the Mexican Hat Dance for about 2 hours straight. The Daisies were so cute and all the Brownies enjoyed learning about Mexico.

Most of the girls were asleep by 2am. I on the other hand attempted to sleep and ended up staying up all night. Something in the air must have bothered me because I spent most of the night hacking my head off and I was had an asthma attack. I haven't had one for several years, so I don't even have meds for it anymore. I only need meds when I am sick.

I did eventually get myself to stop as it wasn't that bad, but I didn't sleep. I don't have to work until 12am Monday morning so I have time off to do me stuff. I might go to Cabelas and Cracker Barrel with a friend. I might also go see a movie. Plus I will definitely get some sleep.

I hope everyone is well.

Becky
I love the Cracker Barrel. They don't have one out here but I always go when we go back to IA to visit family. Have a fun me week-end you deserve it. :sunny:

Just a quick update, Ty, the little boy I babysit, came home from the hospital yesterday on mega doses of antibiotics. He has a staph infection but is home and doing well. Thanks for the :wizard: and prayers

Now I need some :wizard: for Molly. We have been out all day, Emma's soccer game, birthday party and then to my inlaws for dinner. Molly was fine all day, but when I put her in her carseat to come home she screamed bloody murder. Didn't think too much of it as she is extremely tired and just thought she was past her limit. Then when I put her in her pj's she screamed again, I was trying to put her arm in her sleeve. So I think she may have hurt her arm. She was in a moon bounce at the birthday party. I don't think she broke it as she is moving it but only slightly. We are watching Dumbo, her absolute favorite, until we leave for her dr's appt at 9pm.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Heidi and Angela, :grouphug: and :wizard: for your family members.

Congrats on all the MNSSHP and MVMCP ticket purchases. Sounds like fun!

Denise, I completely understand the want for him to reflux. It is so much easier to know what you are dealing with then the unknown.

Happy Birthday Alyssa :cake:

Catch you all later.
Here's some :wizard: that it isn't anything serious. Keep us posted.

:thumbsup2 My boys loved it. My mom took them when she visited so I didn't get to see it to know if it was good or not. But the kids give it a definite :thumbsup2 .

Wow, I never find that good a bargain. Of course, I've never gotten out that early. I'll have to try that next time. Hope Nick is doing better today.

We are home from Molly's dr appt. I can't believe that we are home within an hour of us leaving to get there. It is always a 2 or 3 hour ordeal. Anyway, apparently Molly dislocated her elbow but it popped back into place by itself. They said that it is common for kids her age. Told us to give her motrin and just be careful with her arm. What had me so freaked out about her arm is that last year we had a nutcase, I am being very, very polite here, of a neighbor who decided to call Social Services on me and my DH for child neglect in an attempt to get back at any one of her neighbors that she could. SS came in for a home visit and pretty much laughed at the fact that they were even in my home. She is a drug addict and abused her 3 children and all other sorts of horrors, I could go on and on about how this woman messed with so many families on our street for a long period of time but it's not worth it. Thankfully, her kids were finally taken away from her. But after having Social Services come into my home and question us, I am so leary about anything like this happening. I know we did nothing wrong but it is very unnerving. Sorry for rambling but I had to get that off my chest.

Thanks to all of you for Alyssa's happy birthday wishes. So far it is turning out to be a fun weekend. Tomorrow we're going to let her pick where she wants to go to eat. Unfortunately, I think it is going to be IHOP. I would much rather go somewhere where I can get a yummy salad and steak, but it's not my day. She picked out a princess cake (go figure) so I can't wait to see what it looks like. I'm not as good as you creative types that can bake and decorate your own cakes. I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them. Have a good night.

Hooray!!!!!!!! I just got my MVMCP tickets for 11/30 and a ressie at LTT at 5:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Although I did have to call the dining number direct since the "gentleman" ;) who sold me the tickets refused to check for the special event screen said I have to wait until 180 days. I wanted to remind him that he was wrong about being able to sell me the tickets so isn't it possible he was wrong about the ADR's too? But I wasn't in the mood to fight (do you believe it? :lmao: ) so I called dining direct and got me ressie there with no problems!!!

Just wait, my MIL will probably crab about going on Thursday instead of Friday.... Too bad! I am paying for these tickets and they are cheaper then!! :rotfl2:
Congratulations. Thursday would be better anyway as I think Friday would be more crowded because of locals. :confused3

She sounds like a whack job. I'm glad SS didn't make anything out of it.

I think I may have broken my pinky finger this afternoon! :guilty: I tripped and fall into a chair but hit my finger on the chair's arm and it went back all the way. I can move it, but it hurts a lot. I hate to have an x-ray because I don't want to have a cast or that sort of things!! I have 3 kids to take care of!! If I'm being able to move it, do you think it's broken?

Monica

Sorry to hear about your pinky. :sad2: I broke one of my toes 3 years ago and it was not fun chasing after the kids. I would think that since you can move it it probably isn't broke.
