Um, RN Denise.....your femur is in your leg....;)

Boy, when I don't get sleep my brain dies! Good thing I'm not working a night shift now. :rotfl: It was the humerus (upper arm bone) and she's in a cast up to her shoulder for 4 weeks. She stuffed lite brite pegs down it Thursday and had to have an entirely new cast put on yesterday. Her mom was thrilled!

We are home from Molly's dr appt. I can't believe that we are home within an hour of us leaving to get there. It is always a 2 or 3 hour ordeal. Anyway, apparently Molly dislocated her elbow but it popped back into place by itself. They said that it is common for kids her age. Told us to give her motrin and just be careful with her arm. What had me so freaked out about her arm is that last year we had a nutcase, I am being very, very polite here, of a neighbor who decided to call Social Services on me and my DH for child neglect in an attempt to get back at any one of her neighbors that she could. SS came in for a home visit and pretty much laughed at the fact that they were even in my home. She is a drug addict and abused her 3 children and all other sorts of horrors, I could go on and on about how this woman messed with so many families on our street for a long period of time but it's not worth it. Thankfully, her kids were finally taken away from her. But after having Social Services come into my home and question us, I am so leary about anything like this happening. I know we did nothing wrong but it is very unnerving. Sorry for rambling but I had to get that off my chest.
Glad she's ok. Give her a hug for me!

Ok. What tree are you? I'm a chestnut tree. Pretty accurate for me.

Chestnut Tree (Honesty) -- of unusual stature,
impressive, well-developed sense of justice, fun to be around, a
planner, born diplomat, can be irritated easily, sensitive of others
feelings, hard worker, sometimes acts superior, feels not understood
at times, fiercely family oriented, very loyal in love, physically fit
I'm a weeping willow tree.

Thank you all for the prayers. The doctors told my SIL that the treatment she will have to have may give her 5 years at the most.
:grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: My dad had colon/stomach and a third ?cancer. He had agressive treatment and has been cancer free for 6 years. Doctors are sometimes wrong so tell her not to give up hope. I believe hope and prayer can pick up where dr.s stop.

Thanks to all of you for Alyssa's happy birthday wishes. So far it is turning out to be a fun weekend. Tomorrow we're going to let her pick where she wants to go to eat. Unfortunately, I think it is going to be IHOP. I would much rather go somewhere where I can get a yummy salad and steak, but it's not my day. She picked out a princess cake (go figure) so I can't wait to see what it looks like. I'm not as good as you creative types that can bake and decorate your own cakes. I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them. Have a good night.

Glad to hear she's having a fun weekend. I completely understand the lack of enthusiam over her choice of dinner. Emma always picks this Japanese Hibachi Grill, Sakura, for special dinners. And while it is good, there is only so much on their menu.

Just a quick update, Ty, the little boy I babysit, came home from the hospital yesterday on mega doses of antibiotics. He has a staph infection but is home and doing well. Thanks for the :wizard: and prayers

Now I need some :wizard: for Molly. We have been out all day, Emma's soccer game, birthday party and then to my inlaws for dinner. Molly was fine all day, but when I put her in her carseat to come home she screamed bloody murder. Didn't think too much of it as she is extremely tired and just thought she was past her limit. Then when I put her in her pj's she screamed again, I was trying to put her arm in her sleeve. So I think she may have hurt her arm. She was in a moon bounce at the birthday party. I don't think she broke it as she is moving it but only slightly. We are watching Dumbo, her absolute favorite, until we leave for her dr's appt at 9pm.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Heidi and Angela, :grouphug: and :wizard: for your family members.

Congrats on all the MNSSHP and MVMCP ticket purchases. Sounds like fun!

Denise, I completely understand the want for him to reflux. It is so much easier to know what you are dealing with then the unknown.

Happy Birthday Alyssa :cake:

Catch you all later.
:wizard: I hope nothing is broken. Zachary broke his elbow 2 years ago. It was such a hard summer for him. :wizard: Hopefully it's something less severe.

I think I may have broken my pinky finger this afternoon! :guilty: I tripped and fall into a chair but hit my finger on the chair's arm and it went back all the way. I can move it, but it hurts a lot. I hate to have an x-ray because I don't want to have a cast or that sort of things!! I have 3 kids to take care of!! If I'm being able to move it, do you think it's broken?

Monica
:wizard: Not sure if it's broken but I would go get it checked as you don't want it to heal wrong if it is.

Denise I was thinking about you and Rees as I couldn't sleep last night. Maybe it's all the prayers for Rees maybe he won't need surgery this time. I wanted to let you know that your example as a mom has been a great inspiration and encouragement to me. I had struggled for so long with God about DS Zachary and not wanting him to have problems that I forgot to recognize all his gifts to Zachary. Seeing the grace and strength you show in dealing with the problems that crop up with Rees has been an eyeopener. Zachary doesn't have as many struggles to go through as Rees and yet I have not handled his problems as positively and gracefully as you have Rees. :guilty: You are an amazing person and wonderful mom. May God's blessings overflow for your family. :goodvibes
:wizard: :wizard: God knows your needs and wishes for Rees this week-end so I'll just pray for that.
Okay - you made me cry - Denise must be bawling!!

She does show an amazing amount of strength and is a great inspiration

Let us know how she is... sounds like when my younger DD dislocated her elbow at WDW when she was 22 months old.

Please keep us updated!!!!

ETA: Saw updated and am glad she is okay

Monica - I hope your finger is feeling better

I've been over on the trip report board and had to share this!

Start right around the point where "Escalators Attack!"
I don't think I've laughed (or cried while laughing) this hard in a long time!

YOU HAVE TO CLICK ON THIS LINK TINKER1BELL.

Ah yes, my fear of escalators has come to roost...... :teeth:

That is hysterical. You couldn't have planned it any better!

I am a fir tree and have to say it's pretty much right on.

Fir tree (Mysterious) -- extraordinary taste, handles
stress well, loves anything beautiful, stubborn, tends to care for
those
close to them, hard to trust others, yet a social butterfly, likes
idleness and laziness after long demanding hours at work, rather
modest,
talented, unselfish, many friends, very
reliable.

Well, well, well... I am also a fir tree... :goodvibes

That is what it sounded like to me! A word of warning... once this happens, Molly could very well be prone to it happening quite often. Kristin had hers pop out 4-5 times over the next year or so. Since the small village we lived in in Ohio was pretty far away (45 minutes) out pediatrician finally taught me how to "reset" it myself so I wouldn't have to keep coming back in to Dayton to have it done. I got pretty proficient at it over the next 10 months or so ;)
