Denise - i just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and Rees this weekend. I hope that all is going well! I hope that he refluxes enough to let his doctors know what is going on, but not so much that it makes for an unbearable weekend for him. Bless his heart!

I'm so excited for you to get your tickets! You guys are going to have such a great time! I can't wait to see pictures of all in your costumes! Keep us informed on all the details so we can all celebrate with you!

Hi everyone. Just a drive by posting like Denise did. With my parents here I haven't been able to post much, but I am reading and keeping up with everything.

The Wizard of Oz was a lot of fun. There is a local orthodontist that sponsors a lot of the productions at this local theater. Anyway at the beginning of the show, 2 of the chairs in the audience have a gold sticker underneath them. The announcer of the show tells everyone to look under and see if they are a winner. Alyssa was! So she got to go up on stage and accept her prize, a baseball tshirt with the drs. practice printed on it. I know it's just advertising, but she was thrilled and was not shy about it at all. It will make a good night shirt. Then they announced the names of all the kids celebrating bdays and everyone sang to them. Alyssa was surprised when she heard her name mentioned. We all enjoyed the show. Now we are awaiting our pizzas to be delivered.

I have one question about the mvmcp and mnsshp tickets.....do they have any AP nights where passholders get discounted tix? I think they did last year if I remember correctly.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'll keep everyone with sickness, injuries and difficulities in my prayers.

.....
Gosh, I'm doing this all off memory. If I missed someone, it isn't intentional. Hi to the rest of the DDA! Hope you're having a great Saturday.

Denise -- I think you did a terrific job!

They do, Tammi -- but October 19 isn't one of them :confused3

don't know about your dates for December....

Glad the WoOz went well. Sounds like Alyssa is having a great birthday weekend!! Dr. Coker has always done a lot for the community. His son and our older DD were really good friends in HS.

Ok. What tree are you? I'm a chestnut tree. Pretty accurate for me.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1090267

Chestnut Tree (Honesty) -- of unusual stature,
impressive, well-developed sense of justice, fun to be around, a
planner, born diplomat, can be irritated easily, sensitive of others
feelings, hard worker, sometimes acts superior, feels not understood
at times, fiercely family oriented, very loyal in love, physically fit

I'm an Elm tree. Pretty accurate for me!

ETA: Here's the paragraph about the Elm tree

Elm Tree (Noble-mindedness) -- pleasant shape, tasteful
clothes, modest demands, tends not to forgive mistakes, cheerful,
likes
to lead but not to obey, honest and faithful partner, likes making
decisions for others, noble-minded, generous, good sense of humor,
practical.

Thank you all for the prayers. The doctors told my SIL that the treatment she will have to have may give her 5 years at the most.

Oak Tree for me. Very accurate.

Oak Tree (Brave) -- robust nature, courageous, strong,
unrelenting, independent, sensible, does not like change, keeps its
feet on the ground, person of action

OMG! I just spit Diet Coke everywhere. My kids are a FIG TREE!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :confused3

Fig Tree (Sensibility) -- very strong minded, a bit
self-willed, honest, loyal, independent, hates contradiction or
arguments, hard worker when wants to be, loves life and friends,
enjoys children and animals, sexually oriented, great sense of humor, has
artistic talent and great intelligence.

Well, we knew that!!!!!! How did they? That is so funny!!!!

I'm planning a 6th birthday party for DS. He says he wants Chicken Little and I'm starting to think about the party favors. I'm trying to think of an original party favor. I have a little at-home business where I make creative/educational party favors, kind of those from Oriental Trading. I have different packages and all of them contain all the necessary materials to make an specific kind art work. For example, one of the party favors may contain the materials needed for a colored-sand drawing. I can always do one of those (like maybe Chicken Little with colored sand), but since I see them everyday, I'm trying to think about something different. Is there any specific "trinket" that may be related to Chicken Little? Something that would be characteristic from Chicken Little? Any ideas?

Just a quick update, Ty, the little boy I babysit, came home from the hospital yesterday on mega doses of antibiotics. He has a staph infection but is home and doing well. Thanks for the :wizard: and prayers

Now I need some :wizard: for Molly. We have been out all day, Emma's soccer game, birthday party and then to my inlaws for dinner. Molly was fine all day, but when I put her in her carseat to come home she screamed bloody murder. Didn't think too much of it as she is extremely tired and just thought she was past her limit. Then when I put her in her pj's she screamed again, I was trying to put her arm in her sleeve. So I think she may have hurt her arm. She was in a moon bounce at the birthday party. I don't think she broke it as she is moving it but only slightly. We are watching Dumbo, her absolute favorite, until we leave for her dr's appt at 9pm.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Heidi and Angela, :grouphug: and :wizard: for your family members.

Congrats on all the MNSSHP and MVMCP ticket purchases. Sounds like fun!

Denise, I completely understand the want for him to reflux. It is so much easier to know what you are dealing with then the unknown.

Happy Birthday Alyssa :cake:

Catch you all later.

Heres me
Poplar Tree (Uncertainty) -- looks very decorative,
talented, not very self-confident, extremely cour ageous if necessary,
needs goodwill and pleasant surroundings, very choosy, often lonely,
great animosity, great artistic nature, good organizer, tends to lean
toward philosophy, reliable in any situation, takes partnership
seriously.

somewhat accurate.

Robyn,

Hope her arm is ok. My best friends DS age 3 broke her femur in her arm last week falling off the couch and is a cast for 4 weeks. Keep us posted. Prayers for her!

I think I may have broken my pinky finger this afternoon! :guilty: I tripped and fall into a chair but hit my finger on the chair's arm and it went back all the way. I can move it, but it hurts a lot. I hate to have an x-ray because I don't want to have a cast or that sort of things!! I have 3 kids to take care of!! If I'm being able to move it, do you think it's broken?

Monica

Thank you and here is some for Molly. :wizard: :grouphug:
