Hooray!!!!!!!! I just got my MVMCP tickets for 11/30 and a ressie at LTT at 5:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Although I did have to call the dining number direct since the "gentleman" ;) who sold me the tickets refused to check for the special event screen said I have to wait until 180 days. I wanted to remind him that he was wrong about being able to sell me the tickets so isn't it possible he was wrong about the ADR's too? But I wasn't in the mood to fight (do you believe it? :lmao: ) so I called dining direct and got me ressie there with no problems!!!

Just wait, my MIL will probably crab about going on Thursday instead of Friday.... Too bad! I am paying for these tickets and they are cheaper then!! :rotfl2:

Less crowded, too. A lot of locals go on Friday nights.

For all the DDA, your family and friends.

Quick updat on my family...

Mom goes for her second chemo treatmeant on 5/3 and her brother who was dx with cancer about 2 weeks after my dad, its just a matter of time.

Heidi, :grouphug: to your mom for her chemo treatments. How is she handling them? My aunt would get so sick from her treatments! It was not fun. Then a nurse suggested she start drinking at least 8 ounces of dark grape juice (red or purple) and that would help. She didn't think it could hurt, and so she tried it, and it helped the nausea immensely!

:wizard: and :grouphug: to you and your family!

I have a prayer request for all of you, I found out that my sister-in-law has colon cancer, liver cancer and ovarian cancer. She will have to have a very aggresive treatment.

Prayers being said, and :wizard: being sent.

Let us know if there's anything else we can do!

I thought Nick was doing better but now he is throwing up - looks like we could have a fun night!

I got my report from the MRI tonight - it means nothing to me - I looked up what they said was wrong with me and it says surgery could go either way depedent on how severe it is and how the doctor typically likes to treat it - what concerns me most is the first time I saw the doctor he said surgery wasn't always a good option for this - so now if he has quit PT and thinks I might need surgery - how bad is it?

I know this will be hard, but try not to picture the worst until you meet with the doctor on Wednesday! Think positively! I'm praying that surgery will not be needed. In the meantime, cuddle with the kids (at least the one not throwing up), watch some Disney, make some cookies (or try to con Amy into making some for you), and put it out of your mind for a few days!

We love you, Kate! We will be here for you no matter what!!!!!

Hi everyone! Please pardon my on again/off again posting this week. Things are fine here...I'm just stessed about our open house on Sunday. I hate when things are out of my control, so I've just been trying to absorb myself in cleaning, but it seems like I get one room clean and the dust reappears the next day! Grrr!

Today I had the best break though. Even though she was just at the zoo on Wednesday, Jennifer met me and Alyssa for a few hours. It was a beautiful day, and Alyssa was 90% cooperative (not bad for a two-year-old :goodvibes ).

Jennifer didn't bring her camera, so no pictures of my ever-growing stomach :teeth: but I do have some cute ones of her and Alyssa!

Great pictures! Jennifer, you are so beautiful!!!! Hope you were able to have some fun relaxing time. Amy, don't stress! The open house will be wonderful! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a buyer!!!

I didn't know there was a shakespeare festival out here. I'll have to check into that. I've always loved Shakespeare's comedies and love stories.

Ashland's Shakespeare Festival is the oldest Shakespeare festival in America. They do some wonderful stuff there! I love to visit!

We had a neighborhood garage sale today and instead of having one - I decided to hit them! There were 5 neighborhoods within 5 minutes of me having sales

I got Julia a little tykes easel for $3!! (I have to paint the chalkboard with chalkboad paint) a wooden doll cradle for $2 and a bratz stylin salon with 2 dolls for $8 -

For Nick I got this pickup truck for $15 and a duplex lego set for $3

and a desk for Steve for $5!

I usually don't do that well - but I got up at the crack of dawn - funny thing is - I only went b/c Steve has a golf outing this afternoon and I didn't want to be stuck in the house all day!!!

Wow! You are also the queen of garage sales! Sounds like you hit pay dirt!

Thank you
Mom is doing good, no sickness yet, but she is loosing her hair real fast.

Heidi -- when my mom had breast cancer and went through chemo, her hair started falling out in clumps. She said it actually hurt. She decided to go ahead and shave it all off since she was losing it anyway, and felt much better from that point on. I think her being in control and getting rid of it was much better than waiting for "it" to take it away.

Denise - I think you should have a pizza party for dinner!! Nothing like a little marinara sauce to get the reflux going!!!

I totally agree!!

I told her befor she even started chemo that it might be better to have it shaved off, but she said no she would just let the chemo do it.

At least the cancer center gave her a cataloge for wigs or hats and will pay up to 75% of the cost.

Heidi,

Your mom and SIL both are in my prayers. Your family needs a major break. Please keep us updated and tell them both that the DDA is praying for them to have a full recovery.

Thank you Denise

My mom and her brother, I think the SIL is Angela's

Well, I am so excited because my day wasn't as busy as I was afraid it was going to be!!

Cassidy's team won their match. First game handily 25-20, second game they came from behind 11-1 to wind 25-22. :thumbsup2 But they did it so fast we were out of there and the grocery store before 10.

We came up with a wonderful birthday present for Abi. She got to choose between a new Build a Bear or an outfit...complete with accessories. She chose the outfit and we put it aside for their birthday. I still need to pick a couple little things up...but both girls are done!!!

Vicki-your package came today. I will wait to tie dye until all shirts are in!! We also checked at our BAB and there were no tents or sleeping bags. I will still keep an eye out!! They did have an inflatable bed and a kennel....not quite the same things. :teeth:

Off to cook supper and than watch the Nuggets get annihilated in the playoffs. I am a big Colorado sports team fan but sometimes it's just like going by a wreck. But these were a gift from a friend and I haven't ever been to a playoff game.

Which reminds me of a joke from High School: "Why can't WY or Kansas get pro teams?" "Because then Colorado would be jealous."

Hope all the DDA are having a good weekend.
