We just got back from taking the kids & one of their friends to see
THE WILD... well, I love Disney, I support Disney..but oh man...
It was like watching Lion King & Madacascar rolled together but with characters that are not likable. They ripped off older Disney ideas..nothing original....wierd..they have so much creative talent..wait a minute KATE!!! maybe you should give Disney some ideas for an original or at least an entertaining new movie!! They need help..they need Kate!

Anyway, the kids had a laugh so it was worth it for them...thank goodness we have a bargain matinee place here. Hope Disney starts working with PIXAR again on movies so we get more features like Toy Story, Nemo, or Monsters which have become instant classics. Anyone else who saw it let us know what you think.

We were going to go see it today, but decided to wait. I'm glad we did. Every time the previews come on DS asks if that's Madagascar. It looked like a total ripoff.

30+ pages and I'm finally caught up, luckily there was no work today else who know how many pages there would be but nothing else got done around here!!!!

My DH is an avid hunter!!! 2 years ago, he was talking about deer hunting and my Katie heard him. She told him she thought it was horrible that he would go hunting. Then, she made him watch Bambi every night before he left on his hunting trip. We didn't tell her that daddy got a deer, just had it all ground into hamburger, and she didn't know that she'd been eating deer all winter long. I'm not fond of venison, but I am fond of the stocked up freezer!

Becky won't watch the Bambi movie because it is too sad. It is definitely anti-hunting! We have a picture of her sitting at the kitchen table when she was about 4 eating an apple while my dad is cutting up a deer leg on the table. She never thought a thing about it then. I can't stand the thought of shooting a deer and cried when I hit a deer and killed it this year (for the first time ever which is saying a lot when you live in the UP). However, I love venison.

OK, girls, I officially began my journey NOT to be the whitest woman in America. I bought some of that Jergens Natural Glow lotion and put it on- smells like self tanning lotion though!

And did you all hear that psycho Tom Cruise is at it again?????? Katie is due to have the baby any day now and not only can she NOT have an epidural, but she has to deliver using the silent scientology way- he had a special mouth piece made for her to bite down on so she won't scream!!!!!!!!!!! Let's see him try to have a baby au natural and not scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep us posted on how it works. When I became a lifeguard a couple years ago, I started tanning a little bit and then with the Florida trip in March, I usually have a little color all year now. Until then, I could have given you a run for the title of whitest woman in America.

Was my reaction worth waiting for?? I hope so! I absolutely love it. You didn't get the full effect though since you couldn't see the tears!!! I'm trying not to post too much but I love seeing him so I can't help myself!!!!! No collective replies for me!

Ok, while it's quiet around here, I'm off to start reading the monster thread. Of course, another couple of weeks and this thread will have bypassed the count for the monster thread.

I read some of the other old threads earlier. Only newsworthy item is the day that Hunka spazzed and posted "I love the DIS" all over the place.

Just back. Rees was really anxious which turned out to be a good thing. Said they'd request mainstream classroom and have him not pulled out of class for any help as they're afraid it'll just make him that much more nervous. Instead, have the resource teacher and therapists come to him in class. I'm very pleased.

Asked about Disney, and they will actually approve his trip because he is Special Needs and has anxiety disorder. Said it was much more important for him to go when it wouldn't stress him out and be low crowds. I just have to tell them when, and they'll write the letter. Said it would completely excuse all 3 kids for a week! So look at my ticker now!

Off to Target to shop for the Easter Bunny. Be back later.

ETA: now y'all have got to help me plan costumes again!

Denise - it sounds as if the evaluation went as well as it could. Rees will get what he needs when and where he needs it! Glad it turned out best for him.

Hmmmmmmmm.... what a task... to think up costumes for three adorable little children.... do ya think we are up for that?

I am sure someone here could come up with a gift certificate of some sort. They do have wdw gift cards though. Which are not the same as Disney store gift cards.

We went to the park and Julia and Nick had on Disney shirts and I put the sunscreen on them - as I was putting it on them - I realized - they smelled like Disney World - since they have sunscreen on constantly there - the smell just took me back!!

It is amzing what an impact our sense of smell has on us, isn't it? I bet you stood there and grinned like this
