Just back. Rees was really anxious which turned out to be a good thing. Said they'd request mainstream classroom and have him not pulled out of class for any help as they're afraid it'll just make him that much more nervous. Instead, have the resource teacher and therapists come to him in class. I'm very pleased.

Asked about Disney, and they will actually approve his trip because he is Special Needs and has anxiety disorder. Said it was much more important for him to go when it wouldn't stress him out and be low crowds. I just have to tell them when, and they'll write the letter. Said it would completely excuse all 3 kids for a week! So look at my ticker now!

Off to Target to shop for the Easter Bunny. Be back later.

ETA: now y'all have got to help me plan costumes again!

That is great. It sounds like the school is creating a custom program just for him. I'm sure he will learn get things when they are being taught specifically to him. It is also great that they are encouraging your Halloween trip. I know that you will love it that time of year. Now that the decision is made stop stressing and second guessing yourself. Enjoy the planning!

Denise - that is great news about Rees!!!

We will be at Disney 8/22-9/1. Yea, I do like the advantage of bringing everything & the kitchen sink with me! We flew last October & we had 8 large suitcases (2 while suitcases filled with bottled water...sorry I won'y pay for water at Disney even with the free dining snack credit..gotta have a minnie fruit bar..mmmm) & 5 carryons...I guess I have a packing problem..

We drove down last November, our mistake being we left around 10pm and thought we could do it in one shot. We went with my parents & sister so there was 2 cars, each with 2 drivers. Problem was Molly did not sleep at all the entire way down. This year we will leave Saturday early am and drive til we are tired then get up Sunday and finish.

My DH says we will just get water when we are down there. No way!! I will pick it up on sale and stock pile. Why waste time in a grocery store down there when I can be in the parks.

Hello all....

Who wants to adopt my 17 year old...please!!! I am soooo mad at him. He's had his car for only a few weeks...I just found out he got a speeding ticket...20 mph over the speed limit. What bothers me more is that he didn't tell me and borrowed money from friends to pay the ticket. Hello? guess he doesn't realize mothers find out everything! So smart...yet such a dork!

How did you find out???

Again I find myself behind and need to go home.....

but wanted to say to Tammi....we stayed at Poly in Oct 04 and Oct 05 and saw LOTS of folks already dressed up for MNSSHP at the Poly. It would be fun! And the food at Kona is awesome!

I'll try to catch up later tonight....

OK, girls, I officially began my journey NOT to be the whitest woman in America. I bought some of that Jergens Natural Glow lotion and put it on- smells like self tanning lotion though!

And did you all hear that psycho Tom Cruise is at it again?????? Katie is due to have the baby any day now and not only can she NOT have an epidural, but she has to deliver using the silent scientology way- he had a special mouth piece made for her to bite down on so she won't scream!!!!!!!!!!! Let's see him try to have a baby au natural and not scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is out there - but I have read an interview with him and one with kelly Preston and he says that if she wants an epidural he would be okay with that and Kelly Preston says that it is not the screaming scientology is opposed to but speaking - you know like when you grab your DH and say "WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!?" or "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!"

I wonder how much the media is exaggerating!

I would still run for the hills if I were her!!

I'll throw them in a bowl when I take them to the family Easter egg hunt tomorrow, but for Sunday dinner, I take more time for my kids.

Do your kids love them! Mine beg for them all year long. I make jiggler's but for some reason, my kids only go nuts when they are in the jello bean shape.

I made these all the time when Emma was little, I swear she could eat 100 at a time. Then she decided she didn't like Jell-o. But now that she is lactose intolerant, I have started making them again for her. She has since rediscovered her passion. Much more fun than jell-o in a cup. Plus they hold up well in her lunchbox.

He made some comment last week about s fall wedding since he "isn't going to let her get away" :sad2: Poor girl, I wonder if she knows what she's gotten into...

OK, creative minds, I need help. I am working on Kyle's Bob the Builder Birthday shirt and need a cute saying for it. He will be turning 3. The theme of the party is "Can we party? Yes we can!"

Anyone have any ideas????? :confused3

Wonderful news about the school testing and decision. You must be so relieved! Congrats to Rees!

That is also good news about the trip -- we will miss meeting you but are thrilled that it will work out better for Rees. Now enjoy the rest of your weekend and more prayers that Rees doesn't have to go to the ER.

Happy Easter to all the Figs.

My DH is an avid hunter!!! 2 years ago, he was talking about deer hunting and my Katie heard him. She told him she thought it was horrible that he would go hunting. Then, she made him watch Bambi every night before he left on his hunting trip. We didn't tell her that daddy got a deer, just had it all ground into hamburger, and she didn't know that she'd been eating deer all winter long. I'm not fond of venison, but I am fond of the stocked up freezer!

Cute story about Katie! :sunny:
