This is unrelated  except that I went to college at 17, also! Everyone thought it was nuts, because I had to still get parent signatures on occasion! :rotfl:

One of my roommates my freshman year of college was 17 until January of her freshman year in college. Mind you she was from Rhode Island and went to school in Florida. So getting signatures for things were quite tough.

Then again I shouldn't talk as I had only turned 18 two months before I started my freshman year in Florida and my family lived in PA. :teeth:

Hello! I just thought I would share a bit about myself. We live in State College, PA - home of the Penn State Nittany Lions. I became a SAHM after I had a high-risk pregnancy and had to be stay off my feet for the majority of the 9 months. But I gave birth to a healthy, happy baby boy, Jayden (we usually just call him Jay), who is now 19 months. Prior to that, I taught at a private Pre-Kindergarten program for 11 years. I also have a DS7, Dillon and wonderful husband, Jess (who LOVES John Deere tractors!!!) I am currently home-schooling Dillon (1st grade) and am really enjoying it. Are there any other home-schooling families among the DA's??? :confused3 I am also very involved at our church - I teach Sunday School, a mid-week program for kids, music ministry (pianist), and Vacation Bible School director. And that pretty much takes up all of my time (and energy)! I adore children, and as you can see, most of my time is spent with them throughout the week. So I am really looking forward to becoming part of the DDA family and having more contact with the grown-up world! Can't wait to get to know each of you better as well!
Shana
Welcome :wave2:

I'm all caught up (again). Denise, prayers and :grouphug: for Rees. That poor boy goes through so much! Midnite, glad to see you again. Marti - hope you feel better.

My first post on the old monster thread was #436 on July 17, 2005 at 5:06 p.m. I had "lurked" for awhile before then, and had read all the posts from the beginning.

Just so I don't get in trouble with the queen, I will remind everyone that I am leaving tomorrow for Virginia and won't be back until late Sunday night. I probably will not be on the computer that night, and have to work the next day, so the earliest that you might hear from me is Monday night. It will probably take me days to catch up again. I'll miss "chatting" with you all and keeping up with you all.

Have a happy Easter or Passover, as the case may be.

Have a safe trip June.

Very cute. I keep telling DH that Molly thinks she is cinderella but acts more like Stitch. Would you mind if I print this for her to wear tomorrow?

Not a problem, I don't mind at all.

I hope you don't mind if I share this with you all, but it was a nice "mommy moment" after a long day at work.

Let me set it up: Nicholas showers in our bathroom, since he can do it himself now, while Alyssa is bathed in their bathroom. The other day they got those tub crayons and paints, and have been being little artists during bathtime. So, I didn't get home until around 8:30 tonight, as I had to do some errands after work. As I walk into my bathroom, I am looking right at my shower, and this is what I see:

That is too cute.

I turned 18 2 weeks before going to college....had to get my mom to send a letter to say it was okay for me to move off campus(I was getting married...lol) when I was 19.

Which of course was going on 15 years ago!! I can not imagine letting my girls get married so young....but I didn't listen to reason very well...not that my mom gave me grief. So tommorow....I will have been married 15 years....even though he has frustrated me the most the last couple of days. :confused3 Always seems to happen around our anniversary.....geesh.

Just thought I would let you all know, in case you are interested :)

The Imagineering Field Guide to Epcot is slated for release 06/2006! Now, there's a possibility it won't come out until months later, if the MK one was any indication  but Amazon and Overstock have it available for preorder now! :Pinkbounc

Woohoo!! I just mentioned this to Chuck last night. I was browsing the MK one before going to sleep - it has some great trivia too. It reminded me to tell him there was a new one coming out. I'll have to preorder because it is the kind of thing Chuck loves.

Happy Anniversary a day early!!!

Off to bed for me. It is 11:10 my time. I'm usually in bed by 10:00 or 10:30. I have the spreadsheet pretty much done. Just need to verify a couple of things in the morning. I'll post the travel info for our pals in the morning.

Ok..who mentioned Cleveland?! Was it you Amy? Tell me not everyone on this board lives in Cincinnati? :teeth:

I grew up in Amherst (about 40 miles west of Cleveland), went to Miami University from 1990-1994, and have lived in northern Cincinnati since...

Well, what are you waiting for, girl! Let's get a trip planned! Paula and I could show you around. I've done DL itineraries for Lindsay and for Kate. I'd love to help you out, too. I tell you, next year we need to plan a DDA meet in DL so you all can come see Walt's park! :thumbsup2

I don't know why I haven't went yet. I should plan a trip there. I have been thinking I really should go before the 50th celebration is over at Disneyland as I have become obsessed with the Remember... Dreams come True fireworks show after I saw a video on it.

Off to price airlines and things.

Is the Celebration officially ending at the end of September?

I want this, I have the Magic Kingdom one. I don't think I am preordering this one. I preordered the Magic Kingdom one, originally it was supposed to be released in May, I think it came out about a week or two before I left in September to go on DCL and to WDW.

We just finished watching Lost. Dawn, I'll be expecting your email by morning, though I must say that was the most predictable ending EVER!

Good night and sweet dreams! Lots of :grouphug: and :wizard: to you all!

I did a Pooh themed birthday party for the twins and it turned out so cute. I could send Becky the instructions on how to make the Pooh Bear cake (so easy, even I couldn't louse it up), and I made mini hamburgers with Pooh shaped biscuits to serve them on. I set out bowls of teddy grahams with honey pots for dipping. I made Piglet's potato salad.

I plan on posting pictures soon, I promise!

Good ideas, keep them coming.

Have a Happy Aniversary and I hope things between you and DH get better quickly.

Thought the rest of you DDAers would appreciate this -- Matt was in his bedroom after getting ready to go to bed with the globe between his legs. Guess what he asks me?

Mommy, is this where the Queen lives?????

(and he wasn't talking about England :teeth: )

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I hope I don't get him in trouble in History class!!!

So - I have spent the last two days doing MAJOR spring cleaning and I still have more to do

Just popping in to say HI -

My Payless had a gazillion of the tie dye crocs so if anyone needs them - let me know - my MIL is coming over tomorrow and I will be able to pop out for a while to get them!!

Goodnight to anyone still up! I HAVE to get to bed. I'm not really tired, but I'm stuck on nights from those 4 shifts...... I slept until almost noon today, and I was NOT happy! :sad2:

So bedtime it is, and hopefully I can fall asleep so that I wake up at a decent hour!
